Richard and Angela looked after our home from December to April, during which they had to contend with almost everything that our 16th century farmhouse and its animals could throw at them and in the process, proved themselves to be absolute royalty among housesitters. The various unforeseen challenges included a central heating system that failed just prior to Christmas, absconding donkeys, a failed water supply, and an English bull terrier with dementia-induced aggression issues. They handled all of these issues calmly, practically and effectively - while also finding time to clear all the ivy from our barn and stable roofs, replace the leaky lead flashings on our porch, clear an overgrown pond, chop down and remove various trees that perished during the winter storms including one that brought down the phone line, and trim our extensive box hedging. If all this were not enough, Richard's skills as a cordon bleu-standard cook mean he has won our (and our dog's) undying affection in the kitchen. We could not have asked for a more kind, considerate and competent couple to look after our home, and we are already looking forward to welcoming them again when we go away again next winter. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
Nancy is extraordinary. This was the second sit with Nancy and this time it was a long one - over a month. Our pet could not have been in better hands. Unfortunately our dog had a health episode which required a trip to the vet. Nancy was a superstar - ably facilitating the trip to the hospital and communicating effectively to us through all the process. Our pet could not have been in better hands. Dani is an absolute sweetheart of a pet sitter and house sitter. Both of our fur babies were very well taken care of. She sent us updates multiple times during our vacation, to include pics of the fur babies. They looked very well cared for, as was our house, when we returned.
