Sunny is a lovely lady who welcomed me as if I was family. She made sure I had all that I needed to make my time as easy, comfortable and as enjoyable as possible …. Which it was. Communication was very good before, during and after the sit. Thank you Sunny for your generosity. Location was safe, neighbours friendly and ready to help if required. Sunny's home is comfortable clean and easy to maintain. It comes with a large garden full of trees, and is ideal for relaxing in. The main event of course was George, a big fluffy Norwegian Forest cat who was the perfect gentleman. He has the biggest eyes and he uses them to beguile and charm you. 😁 He isn’t a lap cat but he does love being in your company and is chatty. Loves to be brushed, on his terms, be it a few seconds or a few minutes. Playtime is also on his terms but then he is the boss.🐱 He is easy to care for and a joy to be with. Thank you Sunny and George for making this a great end to my Californian Trip.
My housesitting experience was positive in every way. Caroline provided warm, safe, clean and private accommodations for me. Her dog Islay and cat Wilber are affectionate and sweet. If you are looking for a beautiful village setting, her home is perfect.
This was my first sit on TrustedHousesitters, and I couldn't have asked for better people or pets! Sandra and Richard were very warm and welcoming to me. Instructions were clear and easy to understand, and a sheet was left for me with important contact information and highlights of pet needs. They have 2 dogs and 3 cats, and they were all delightful! Bear and Barkley are the dogs; they listen very well, are trustworthy in the house, and are always up for pets and snuggles. Toby the cat is a true velcro-boy - he loves to lay by you (or on you) and get loved-up and stack zzzzz's. Riley and Bentley are both Munchkin kitties, and a hoot to watch as they navigate the house. Bentley took a little longer to warm up, but all the pets are fantastic, very well cared for, and easy keepers. Sandra, Richard and I kept in regular contact, and they enjoyed the photos and videos I shared with them of all the "kids." I highly recommend doing a housesit for them if you get the opportunity. They live 5 miles from Blackduck, which has all your basics: grocery store, dollar store, gas stations, and places to eat. If you get the chance, head to Hillcrest Supper Club on a Saturday for their prime rib! The town of Bemidji is only 30 miles away, and has anything you could want or need. Sandra and Richard have a gorgeous home overlooking a lake, and many acres if you like to take walks. There was a lot of snow when I was there, but the area was still really beautiful, and so peaceful. I enjoyed it so much that I'll be returning in a few months to do another sit for them!
What a perfect sit! Coco is one of the best dogs I've stayed with: She is so very sweet, listens so well, never barks, loves cuddling, playing and showing me around the neighborhood. Very special pup! And the neighborhood--it is a snowy, quiet wonderland (in winter) and a leafy, trail-filled wonderland (in summer). Beautiful area near Keystone. Kate's house is beautiful, comfortable and filled with everything you need. There is a very convenient little area down the road with a pub, pizza place and store. Kate is very responsive as host, and it was just such an easy and nourishing sit. I hope to return!
Loved my stay here! Their place is adorable, comfortable, and easy to access with public transportation. They were also so kind as to show me around the neighborhood a bit the day I got there, and they left me with plenty of local recommendations including shows to catch and places to eat/drink. Bafta is the star of the show here, of course, being just the sweetest pup in the world, so he and I were best friends during my stay. He was so affectionate and easy to care for, I got plenty of snuggles at night, and we enjoyed many trips to the cafes, parks and shops around the neighborhood together. Thank you so much Matt, Rebecca, and Bafta!! <3
This was such a wonderful sit. Such a sweet little dog. Lexi was super cuddly and calm. My host Cindy was so kind. She even left me a nice bottle of wine. The house is very modern and relaxing. The grocery store is a five minute walk, as well as the coffee shop. I would sit for them again anytime!

Just picked up Our George from the pet joint after his 10 night stay (Holiday) Bathed And Groomed smelling Lovely He absolutely Loves his stay there with Meg and family Lovely photos to update his stay Absolutely peace of mind that your pet is in his element whilst On our holiday Highly recommended Massive thanks again Meg
Meg looked after our lovely boy for a month whilst we relocated to North Wales. Meg was helpful, caring and kind, fitting in and changing dates as required. Meg's cat hotel is a cattery on another level of cat luxury, so I have no hesitation in saying that this is the best service I have seen for pet boarding. Five star review for a five star service.
Great place for your pets to go whilst you are away. The owner, Meg lives and breaths her charges. We've booked out cat Wellington in for two stays this year and another in Jan 2024. Pre booking visits are actively encouraged so you can have a look round before booking.
Absolutely lovely place took such good care of my fur baby, while me and hubby celebrated our wedding anniversary! High recommend! And my boy loved having his own holiday to make new friends.
A big thank you to The Pet Joint for looking after Pig so well while we were away. He clearly had a fab time watching fish tv, chilling on the chaise longue and watching the birds outside. A lovely touch having photos posted on Facebook (it is if you’re crazy cat people like us 🤣). Great communication and clearly so much care in what they do. Would highly recommend for cats, dogs and small animals 💕
Our lively labrador stayed with steve and meg and their canine companions while we got married and went on honeymoon. Not only did they go the extra mile by offering a chaperone service so our boy could be at the wedding they thoroughly looked after him while we were away. The daily updates of photographs of him enjoying his dog holiday put our mind at ease, he was not missing us too much. So much so that it almost looked like he was far more interested in where his canine pals where when we picked him up. I would use and reccomend the pet joint again and again. Thank you, Steve and Meg.
What can I say? I chose The Pet Joint after asking on FB for recommendations as I wasn't from the area. Originally booked in for a few days, our Puffle ended up staying for three weeks due to a stressful and uncertain house move. I never once felt like an imposition & was continually told by Meg that it didn't matter and Puffle would be welcome to stay as long as necessary. Meg is an absolute credit to petcare and I am in no doubt that she treats all her charges as if they were her own. I wouldn't hesitate to use The Pet Joint again. Thank you so much 🤗
We booked our two cats and dog in for a short break at Pet Joint and were suitably impressed. The care and attention was second to none and the rooms and furnishings were really luxurious. Our little ones enjoyed the experience and arrived back with glowing coats and lots of new friends. Definitely worth considering if you love your pet and want them to enjoy a home away from home! Meg and Steve provide a first-rate, top quality, dog boarding service. Like other dog owners who won’t use kennels, we searched for ages for a suitable alternative for our dog and found it at The Pet Joint. Set in gorgeous North Wales countryside, the dogs have large grounds in which to exercise, sleep in their own, very spacious, rooms and have round-the-clock professional care and attention. Highly recommended.
Meg's a trusting and caring pet mum. She took great care of Roger recently, really efficient arrangements and lovely, kindly approach. Would most def. Reccomend.
I'm very surprised to see a one star review for this service. I aim to explore the pros and cons in my review so you gain a clearer picture of the dog walking service provided. Pros: 1. Tom was always on time and courteous. 2. My dog absolutely enjoyed the group walks and was always returned to me in a tired and content state. 3. He takes beautiful photos and shares them with you on social media. It was delightful for me to see my puppy having fun as he played with other dogs. This alone will make you more than happy to have him as your dog walker. 4. The price was very reasonable for the service offered and I had no qualms in paying it. 5. He offers varied walks to all his clients' dogs. 6. Tom was very responsive to all questions in a timely manner. Cons: 1. When his dog, a dachshund, entered my home it guarded my puppy's food bowl and wouldn't let him near it. Tom responded by picking his dog up and not reprimanding it. Dachshunds are well known for guarding issues if you're not firm with training. Apart for that, it was a well behaved dog. 2. My dog has problems with travel sickness and Tom seemed unable to cope with this due to time constraints. He told me I wouldn't find another dog walker who would be happy to deal with the problem, but he was wrong. My dog now travels happily in a car without any problems, especially if a window is wound down and he is able to sniff the various scents. 3. He wasn't very experienced when it came to the German Shepherd breed. They're rather difficult whilst in their adolescent period and can sometimes have an extremely annoying tendency to ignore commands while using a selective hearing trait they eventually grow out of. Having said that, experience comes with more handling of such breeds. Mature German Shepherds are a delight to handle and much easier to walk. 4. If I'd hired him again for a third walk I would have requested he didn't let my dog off the lead (Though, I did sign the contract giving permission) until a bond between him and my dog was established. He declined to walk my dog again, which was disappointing, but I think that was the correct decision. All in all, I would recommend this dog walking service if your dog is easy to handle without any issues. Of course I'm only able to review the group walks because that's all my dog partipated in. I think the pros outweigh the cons as my juvenile dog enjoyed the group walks immensely and a wise Tom picked high energy breeds for him to play with. This suited my dog perfectly and if my dog lacked problems I believe I would still be using the service now. PS. Shame on the person who left the one star review as I don't think it reflects the service I encounted at all. Edit: I feel the need to also add that I understand my dog can be an utter pain to walk at times, though he can often be a joy, too. It absolutely depends on whether you're strict enough in regards to delivering commands -- which is something I myself struggle with at times.
Very reliable and adored by all dogs he meets. So many adorable photos on Facebook of the puppies and dogs he cares for, who love the time spent with him. Offers fun and sociable walks, and a pet/housesitting service to give you peace of mind while away from home. He's the walker your beloved dog deserves :)
