I had the best time looking after Beyonce in Park Slope! Beyonce is a friendly, sweet-natured dog who will cuddle up next to you and enjoy walks around nearby Prospect Park. Park Slope itself was great spot to be in over the holidays. Sam was super communicative and a great host! 5*****
Cindy was a gracious and very kind host who lives in a close knit and friendly community. She had a vegan meal ready for me when I arrived the evening before complete with dessert!! She even had food for me available for a neighborhood pot luck on Friday evening. Her home is very comfortable and clean and modern. I really enjoyed the nature surrounding her home, it's almost like you are in a tree house and one day I did see a bear walk along her home into the woods. So exciting. Gracie and I spent a lot of time together going for walks and hiking. She is a good girl, but she does pull on her leash which actually was a nice addition to a hike as she became my motor pulling me up steeper inclines. I appreciated her energy level and found hiking with her to be a joy. The bark collar is a must as Gracie does get excited with noises/animals around the house, but if she is having an excited time, the bark collar works immediately. She is a cuddler and will be with you all night. She doesn't snore which is big plus for a bed sleeper. LOL!! She enjoys a quick game of fetch in the house with a ball, but is fine with being near you and laying in the sun. She is loved by all the neighbors. You will truly enjoy time at Cindy's house.
Jess and Andrew have a lovely home and were extremely kind and welcoming. Their dogs - Alfie and Sam were a pleasure to look after. They’re lovely characters and easy to care for. Happy to sit for you anytime you like :)
Our experience caring for Klaus and Reesie in Sindy and Rob's cozy, inviting home was incredibly special. Sindy provided us with clear, detailed instructions that made tending to Klaus, with his specific walking needs due to his early stage of hip dysplasia, and Reesie, the charming indoor cat, effortless and rewarding. Our walks with Klaus were filled with serene moments, appreciating his gentle nature, all thanks to Sindy’s thorough guidance to ensure his comfort and safety. Reesie captured our hearts, especially during the playful evenings when my son engaged her with laser light games, which she absolutely adored. These joyful interactions highlighted our days, creating memories we’ll cherish. The warmth of Sindy's home, reflective of her and Rob’s nurturing and considerate spirits, in such a beautiful area, made our pet sitting experience unforgettable. The clear communication and the organized setup for both Klaus and Reesie facilitated an exceptionally smooth and delightful experience. Being trusted with such adorable pets in such a welcoming environment was a privilege. Thank you, Sindy, for this wonderful opportunity to bond with Klaus and Reesie!
I strongly encourage other sitters to sit for Jane and Martin if the opportunity arises. I’ve been very fortunate to have so many sits through this site, but this is one that I will always remember, and very fondly. These are lovely and thoughtful hosts. They were very accommodating of my schedule and were kind enough to pick me up at a train station that was quite far from their home. (The Attleborough station is only a couple of miles away, and there is plenty of parking if you have a car.) The house is very nice, with a great kitchen and a comfy bed. I don’t remember sleeping better. I have to admit that I was a bit anxious about my farm duties, not being terribly familiar with sheep or geese. But, Jane’s directions were very clear and I really came to enjoy the daily routine. It’s really quite easy to feed the animals and let the geese and chicken out and get them back in at night. You can do it all in 15 minutes (twice a day) though I didn’t rush. I would end up watching the sheep or the horse or the geese or the chicken. I also enjoyed taking the dogs for walks. I will always remember and forever be grateful for the chance to interact with so many wonderful animals. I’m smiling as I type, thinking of them all. I certainly hope I get another chance to see them all before too long, and I strongly encourage my fellow sitters to apply when they see any future listings here. Plus, Jane makes the most fantastic cheese. I am glad she didn’t leave more for me as I would’ve eaten all of it within a few days. I hope you can tell that I had a fantastic time. Thank you Jane and Martin!
We had a wonderful time housesitting for Holly and Patrick. They were so welcoming and there home is beautiful. Koda is a most delightful dog and very easy to look after. We hope we can go there again

Lisa is the best we have taken our dog to Newbury Bark for years. I highly recommend!
Friendly. Love pr dog as if it was their own
The staff at Doggy Den are the best! From the phone call to the evaluation the next day, the service was perfect. These women love what they do, and you can tell that by how they do it. Our dog, Washington, had a blast and came home exhausted. We love the Doggy Den!
Really disappointed by our latest visit to the doggy den. My husband accidentally dropped off the food with our dogs food bowls, and mysteriously they weren’t able to find them. More importantly, our dog returned with a pink eye and had lost 1 to 2 pounds. When asking about their food protocol, I was shared a staff member would have had my husband who did the drop off fill out a form specifying how much food to provide our dog: this did not happen. In trying to call back to share this so that their staff members know to ask the food portions, the staff member wouldn’t answer my call. I would not trust leaving my dog here again. When attempting to share our experience the staff member would not acknowledge that my dog had lost weight in their care. Poor customer service and a $350 bill, but more importantly if they aren’t asking how much to feed your dog, if something were to truly go wrong during your dogs stay, this is not a business I would you want to have to deal with. For anyone coming back to this facility make sure they ask how much to feed your dog.
Following up to the owner’s response to my wife’s post ( Brittany Glant) as google wouldn’t allow me to reply to Ana’s message. We picked up our dog, Fiona, on Wednesday evening, and immediately contacted the owner on the same day, and today (Saturday) to address our concerns. So, contrary to the owner’s claim, we did not wait a week before reaching out. When I first saw Fiona, I didn’t notice any immediate physical changes, but after picking her up today and weighing her, it became clear that she had lost approximately 2 pounds during her stay. As a responsible business owner, it would have been more professional to acknowledge the situation rather than respond defensively and dismissively. I would have appreciated it if you had simply acknowledged that you didn’t ask us how much to feed our dog when we dropped her off, which I understand is part of your process. That alone would have resolved the matter. Additionally, we were never informed that Fiona had a pink eye during her stay until we noticed it ourselves and called to inquire, which you clarified that it was from the shampoo. Thank you for that. As pet owners, we place a great deal of trust in businesses to care for our animals, and it’s reasonable to expect empathy and transparent communication. Instead, we were met with defensiveness and unprofessionalism when we attempted to share our feedback. We reached out multiple times later but our calls were ignored. It’s disheartening to see this is not an isolated incident, as other reviews reflect similar experiences. The way you handle customer concerns speaks volumes about your business, and unfortunately, based on both our experience and others’ feedback, it seems your response to customer concerns often lacks professionalism and empathy. This could have been resolved with a simple acknowledgment of the situation, but instead, it has led to unnecessary frustration. I hope you take this feedback to heart and consider adopting a more customer-focused approach in the future. Wishing you the best moving forward.
I just moved to the area and took my English bulldog Gracie here. Blown away. The staff clearly care about our babies - AND they were taking evacuated dogs from the fires. Very impressed and can’t wait for Gracie to go back and see her friends!
My dogs are very high spirited & the staff at Doggy Den can handle them. Fortunately, They play well with other dogs so boarding works out well for us. We can go on long vacations and know that our dogs are safe and well cared for… Anne did training with them years ago & we were very happy with the results.
Our Australian Cattle Dog rescue has some separation anxiety issues but taking him regularly to day care has been helpful. The staff is so good with him; they patiently (& enthusiastically) answer my “how’d he do today” questions!
My mini golden doodle, Fifi, has been coming here for the past year and she loves it! She is always super excited when she is dropped off. The staff is very professional. Kalina from day one has been so great always greeting Fifi with excitement. I always recommend The Doggy Den to friends!
Great place to board your beloved pup. My corgi never seems excited to leave when I pick him up (doesn’t he miss me?!?!) and he’s always happy to return. Plus he always seems “well fed” when he gets picked up and he’s doted on by the staff. Never had any issues and the entire staff is full of dog lovers who are more than willing to cater to reasonable dog-specific needs.
We can not recommend Doggy Den enough! The staff is very qualified and knowledgeable. Excellent facility for day care, boarding and training. The dogs are well cared for, happy and love coming here. Our first experience boarding our dog here changed my mind about dog boarding and daycare. I am looking forward to bringing our dog for regular daycare as it was such a positive experience for her!
My pup is super high energy and can be a handful at times. I love that every time we've taken him here he is welcomed by a loving staff. And I know he likes the place because he ends up running to the door waiting for it to be opened.
