Lovely house and incredible owners - Doramy and Marc made us feel so welcome, and the dogs Dippy and Bean are so sweet. There were a few potty training incidents but nothing we couldn’t manage. Excellent location, being very close to the station and nice walks!
We had a lovely time staying in rural France and greatly appreciated how welcoming Katherina and her family were. They took time to show us all the responsabilities with the horses and other pets so we were absolutely sure about what needed doing. They also very kindly left us a car to use, which was very generous of them. This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the 'real' rural heartland of France but you do need to have some experience of handling horses in order to get the most from the experience. There are a variety of horses you can ride according to your ability and confidence. We had some great rides out. We loved the dogs too - they were loyal and fun and happily joined us for horse rides and trips locally. Despite last minute changes to our plans Katherina was able to adapt things accordingly and couldn't have been more helpful. We look forward to coming back some time!
Staying at Adrienne’s home was like a dream come true. The home and the land is absolutely beautiful and like something out of a movie. Adrienne was so helpful and caring, I feel as though we have become friends for life after my stay. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Bingo, Rocky and Pace were all so well behaved and lovely. Super easy to look after and absolutely adorable. I miss them all! I honestly have nothing bad to say about staying at Adrienne’s it was amazing. I hope I get the chance to return x
Communication with Sally and Chris before our sit was excellent. We arrived in time to be shown the ropes, meet the gorgeou Winnie and enjoy a lovely evening meal with Chris and Sally. Their home is lovely as is their garden, despite the near-drought conditions. Our room was very comfortable, with lovely bed linen. We found lovely local walks and also explored further afield, walking with Winnie and our Westie girls, who all got on very well. St Catherine’s hill in Winchester is highly recommended as is the walk along the water meadows, visiting St Cross en-route. This was a wonderful, relaxed sit and taking care of little Winnie was an absolute delight. Thank you Sally and Chris for this lovely opportunity to enjoy Winchester and environs. We hope we’re invited back.
We were made very welcome at Pridewood. We arrived the night before which gave us a great chance to get to know the layout of the farm and meet the pets (as well as the owners). This combined with comprehensive notes and advice we were given ensured we had all we needed for our sit. We had great fun getting to know and looking after the dogs all of which have very different personalities. Cuddles on the sofa with Pip and Percy were lovely. Phin is more shy but happy to have attention and fuss. There are lots of lovely walks on and from the farm which we really enjoyed. Edward the cat is no trouble at all and likes to sit by the fire. We would happily return .
