Kathie and Ricky and there 3 children looked after our home, garden and 2 guinea pigs. We received lovely little clips and photos of two happy piggi. The house was as we left it, and the garden looked fine! Overall we were very happy with Katie and Ricky and we hope to catch up with them again!
Sara was attentive and caring with Beebs, with daily photo updates. She kept the house clean and asked for assistance when she needed help finding items in the house. It was a great bonus that she ran the dishwasher and laundry from the guest room before departing!
We had a great time house sitting for Marilyn and Leon. They were nice enough to give us a tour and run through of their place and kitty duties before they departed. The communication was great and any questions I had were quickly answered via text. Their house is lovely, cozy and very accommodating. The beautiful yard is a huge plus, I enjoyed walks through the property and the cats tagged along! It's also in a great spot with hiking right down the road and Asheville around the corner. Their cats Lila and Luis are fantastic! They are so sweet and Luis will snuggle up in bed with you. We really enjoyed spending time with them and it was hard to say goodbye. I would highly recommend Marilyn and Leon's house sit!
This sit was lovely. Martín is extremely friendly and him and Hilary even left us a welcome gift of wine and chocolates! Their home is very comfortable and well located. Their cats are adorable and low maintenance. Having the luxury of an automatic cat feeder, we had plenty time to explore. Newcastle exceeded our expectations. We’d happily sit here again another day
This was such a wonderful sit! Kate was super responsive and kind enough to pick me up from the tube station when I arrived. She had clear instructions for taking care of the pets. Winnie is super sweet and cuddly, and Syd is lovable when he wants to be! Archie and Millie were also fun to feed and be around. The home is in a nice, quiet neighborhood outside of London but with easy access (bus and train) to the city. I had a wonderful time. Thank you, Kate!
We had a fantastic time in Emily's apartment in Escandon. Her apartment is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and in a great location. We really felt at home and enjoyed just exploring her neighborhood, especially the Tianguis Tuesday market. But of course, the star of the show was her adorable puppy, Fernando. He is an absolute sweetheart. He has the silkiest hair, big puppy eyes, and a personality that is impossible not to fall in love with. He's an incredibly affectionate dog and warmed up to us very quickly. He gives lots of kisses and loves to play. Even though he's a puppy, he's fairly low maintenance. He barked a little whenever he heard something strange, but in no way is he a "barkey/yappy" dog. He has spurts of energy throughout the day but easily tires out with a good walk or play session. We really enjoyed our walks around the neighborhood and also took him with us for meals and cafe outings. He loves to sniff everything and loves meeting new dogs. There is a dog park just a short walk away. Honestly, he's just a great little dog. We really miss waking up to his little, demanding nose! Emily made everything really easy with a well organized powerpoint with everything we needed/wanted to know. This was our first official Trusted Housesitter sit, and we couldn't have imagined a better stay. Highly recommend this dog/house sit to future sitters!

Great place to stay with a super sweet cat! June comes for cuddles and likes to play but is just as happy being lazy. The apartment is very comfortable, spacious, and everything I could need was there (and also a great book collection!). Communication with Aurora and Milod was easy and they were super friendly. I only stayed for a week but wish I could've stayed longer!

I have a ten year old mixed-breed doggo. We lived together in Athens, Greece for the better part of her life. When I decided to bring her to Edinburgh, I was afraid she wouldn’t adapt well given that she was not trained beyond the basic commands of ‘sit, stay, paw’. I thought she had separation anxiety and issues with other female dogs. My biggest fear was that I wouldn’t be able to let her off the lead due to her history of running after stray cats, even into busy roads. Until my partner and I found Ariana. After a lot of research, we decided that Ariana would be up for the task. And boy she was! Not only did she manage to tame this predatory beast, she also taught us the most important things, which are how to understand and communicate with our dog, how to meet her needs, and how to provide her with a safe and calm environment. Now, the walks which had been so stressful in the past have become the most blissful and enjoyable thing to do with her. We can now happily let her off lead and let her explore her surroundings, knowing that she’ll come back. In addition, leaving her alone at home is no longer another stress – thanks to Ariana’s help, we saw a huge improvement in this in literally 24 hours. To our surprise, Ariana helped us to realise that our dog wasn’t actually the one with the separation anxiety… Ariana is an excellent trainer who knows and understands animal behaviour and psychology. She truly loves and cares for your animal and wants the best for them. The only thing you have to do is listen to her, and follow her advice! We’re so grateful for all her help and support.
We first contacted Arianna because we thought that our dog, Mortimer, was reactive to people and other dogs. He used to bark angrily to everyone and we were starting to feel like we couldn’t control nor teach our pup to behave better. Any other trainer would have probably just treated Mortimer like an aggressive/reactive dog, but Arianna spent lot of time and energy trying to understand the deeper meaning and causes of Mortimer’s behaviour. She taught us how to truly improve our relationship with Mortimer by learning how to understand him better. I re-homed a lovely but re-actively aggressive French Bulldog who saw every dog as a threat. Ariana showed me the tools to build trust between her and myself on walks in and around Edinburgh (I was super anxious about her getting mauled by other dogs, and my anxiety was part of the problem too!). Within a month, I saw immense improvement in her reactivity to dogs and now can confidently let her off off lead. Ariana has a lovely calm presence and has a really deep understanding of dog and human interaction. she truly is a "Dog Whisperer" in every sense of the word.
I really enjoyed working with Arianna to help my cocker spaniel puppy grow in confidence and to become less anxious. We were struggling to raise our little Corgi in our flat, and put a lot of hopes on Arianna, from Mindful Pets, to help us bond with our girl. We not only got amazing advice on bonding and training, but we found someone we could confide on and get supported during a lot of troublesome times (our little puppy has had some misfortunes in her short life). Arianna is friendly, knowledgeable, incredibly dedicated and Aki adores her. We are truly glad we decided to give Arianna a message a few months ago, it completely changed how we perceive our relationship with our dog.
I had adopted two dogs from the Dog's Trust in January 2020. Over the next few months I worked with the dogs, settling them into our home, routines, etc. Like all dogs they do have some behavioural issues. I engaged Arianna of Mindful Pets to work with me, to understand their individual issues and help me with tools and training to improve their behaviour. I was delighted with how Arianna works - she is interested in the psychology of the animals and studies how they react in their home environment, outside, socialising with other dogs and reactions to people and situations. Arianna has looked after our house and two cats on several occasions. We have been away for up to ten days at a time and have returned each time to a spotlessly clean house and two very happy cats. Arianna is a very nice and friendly person who genuinely loves the animals in her care, I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a house sitter.

My hens and duck boarded here. Kevin was extremely helpful, accommodating and put my mind at rest from the offset. When I met him I found somebody who truly cared about birds and was definitely going to look after them well. I had an update that they had settled in which is so reassuring. My girls came home looking fit, happy and healthy. This is true value for money in a caring and secure environment with somebody who went the extra mile to ensure my needs were met.

Best pet sitting service in Edinburgh! Couldn’t recommend Animal Antics more! I have 3 cats. All different in their own ways and they catered for them all. One of mine is especially fussy when it comes to people. In the time I’ve had her she’s only liked 2 people. Well as soon as she met Ffi she was comfortable and smitten. I received daily reports with photos which made me feel at ease being away from my 3 pets. The company is very professional and caring. Best service I’ve had. I actually thought using Animal Antics was much better for my pets than having the neighbour or best friend pop in for them. Worth every penny! Great communication. Great pet knowledge. My pets loved Animal Antics and especially Ffi and I will be using them every time now!!! Couldn’t recommend more!
We were recommended Ffi by friends to look after our kitten. She’s really professional, came to meet us and the precious kitten before we went away. Ffi was calm and very flexible when we had to postpone due to air-traffic debacle. This was much appreciated as were the daily reports and photos. We discovered Fi at Animal Antics through neighbours when we lived in Edinburgh. As well as general pet sitting and feeding services, she always went above and beyond providing much play, care and love. We have recently moved to England and still use their services for general advice for our cat. Fi has such knowledge and passion when it comes to pet care, which has been a fantastic help to us. Our cat had an awful gastro issue and we had no idea how to fix, Fi recommended a new dry food which solved the problem in days. Our cat is a really shy wee thing, but loves Fi and often sat with her when she visited. Fi would send pictures to us which was just really wonderful to see and just one part of the excellent service we have always received.

I’ve taken my puppy Rolo on a few occasions to this very well run dog crèche, and will continue to do so well into the future. You can tell Monica loves the dogs, and they all seem to have the best time. It is very reasonably priced and a nice touch is seeing photos of the dogs having fun posted on their socials (with your permission) or sent directly to you. It is clearly great for puppy /dog socialisation and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this service to anybody.

We dropped our little guy off for an hour while we did some shopping. He had a great time playing with the other dogs and did not want to leave when we came to pick him up. Monica is patient, knowledgeable and knows how to manage several dogs at once. We felt very comfortable leaving our pup in her care knowing that he would be safe and well taken care of. We'll be definitely coming back, and know that our doggo can't wait to go back either!

Could not be more satisfied with Vivienne's professionalism, dedication, flexibility and devotion she gives to our wee pup. He always comes home happy and content and I know he has had a brilliant time. Vivienne has helped us out at very short notice on more than one occasion. I have absolutely no problem with the fact that she has access to our home and trust her implicitly with our beloved boy. I do not recognise the Vivienne that is described by another reviewer.
Do not under any circumstances use this service. I left the keys to my property with this woman and now she refuses to return them. Naturally my landlord is furious because we have had to change the locks. If you value the safety of your home do not use this service.

We had our 6 month old puppy old English bulldog in for a trial this morning, from drop off to pick up the staff kept us updated through there social media, our puppy looked so comfortable and relaxed, the staff are extremely kind and professional, she is now fast asleep after a playful morning. She will be going back very soon, would highly recommend Winston’s☺️
After looking at the reviews for Winston's, I was really excited to sign my dog up. Looking at the website, it states that they accept small-medium breeds, my dog will fall within the medium category when fully grown. Unfortunately the afternoon before her trial, I got a message letting me know that my dog won't be accepted due to her size when fully grown. Such a shame and a little inconvenient. The information on the website needs to be changed so it is clear they only accept smaller breeds. The staff member that sent me the message was really lovely though!
Our dog has an absolute blast visiting Winston’s. They post videos and photos on Instagram all day so you get to see what a great time they’re having and the staff couldn’t be nicer and, more importantly, love on our dogs like they were their own. It’s especially excellent when we’re on holiday, as it means we get to see videos of our dog having an amazing time, relieving some of the guilt we feel for leaving him 😂🥰
One of the best doggy day cares that I have left my little cockapoo at. All the staff are amazing and he is always super excited to return and very tired at the end of the day after a fun filled day of play. Very happy dog, very happy owner! Would certainly highly recommend Winstons
i would happily recommend this doggy day care. they are so in tune with the dogs and really look out for their best interests. it turned out to not be the right environment for my dog after a couple of sessions, but they were so caring and kind about everything i wouldnt hestitate to recommend to others!
Winston’s is so great! My pup goes twice a week and loves it- she’s always so happy to see everyone and gets lots of love from the staff. Their communication is always good and having the Instagram to check during the day is great as they put lots of pictures and videos up. Also very easy to book via the online system. Our dog loves it there! Every morning he's dropped off he cannot wait to go inside and see everyone and in the evening, he comes back absolutely exhausted. The staff are excellent, they give you an update on what's happened each day and you can see how well they treat all dogs. Would definitely recommend.
I have been sending my dog there for about six months, and he loves it! The place is well staffed for the amount of dogs that are there, and his every need is cared for while he's there - He's fed, walked and played with! Would recommend Winstons if your looking to get a break, or even socialise your dog.
Not great,environment for certain dogs, especially as a couple hadn’t been neutered yet and got very aggressive so put in a cage The noise of the loud barking can’t be healthy Plus two of the dogs while I was there, where in small cages and looked really to timid to be in such a hyper loud environment

Ruth at PetStay is an absolute legend. Every time I’ve needed to book our toller in she’s linked us up with a wonderful carer (same family every time luckily, our dog loves them). She also linked a family members dog up with a carer a week before our wedding when there were no other options which saved the day. Fab service and can’t praise enough 😊
Could not recommend Petstay or Ruth highly enough. Immediately felt at ease during our first meeting with Ruth and Ann & Les. It is very obvious they love dogs and Max could sense that too as was not bothered when we left him. Regularly updated with photos & videos of his adventures. Max had a ball. He can't wait for his next visit in a few weeks.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Pet Stay said they could cover a weekend for me. Booked to meet a carer - I had to take a day annual leave because the carer’s availability was so limited. Pet Stay cancelled this at short notice. They then rebooked me with someone else. This was also then cancelled. Spent a month wasting time emailing back and forth in total. This seems like a really disorganised and unreliable company - I’d not trust them with my dog.

Ryan and Jose have been walking Cocoa for a while now. Cocoa absolutely adores them and going on his pack walks. He always comes home happy and tired after his walks. They are very good at being accommodating with our work schedules and even when our boy needed an op they made sure his space was still open for him coming back. Being an anxious dog mum and not really trusting anyone or even friends to walk my dog I don’t worry at all when these guys have my dog they are just superb. They always give regular updates which is amazing and nothing is ever an issue for them. Yous really are amazing. Thanks for being awesome 👏
Ryan and Jose are amazing dog walkers and they walked out little dog kiwi for over a year! They were very professional and flexible with our work schedules. They took care of our dog like she was their own. Every day, our dog would look forward to her walk and come home very happy! We also received daily updates/videos after each walk and they sometimes even went the extra mile of giving our dog a rinse if she became too dirty. Overall highly recommend them and we would definitely use their services again when we come back to Edinburgh.

Laura has provided a fabulous service to us over the last few years. We started off using her cat sitting service when we were away - our cat loves her and always seems very happy when we return. Laura always sends us daily updates and pictures of our cat when we're away which always reassures us. When we got our puppy, we instantly thought of Laura and her dog walking service to help socialise her with other dogs. Fast forward a year, and our dog sits at the door and waits every "Laura Day". She loves her walks and always seems happy on her return. I'd have no hesitation to recommend Laura for her cat sitting or dog walking services - and already have. Laura always takes time for an update and we always know that she has our pets' best interests at heart.

Laura always goes above and beyond, tidying our pup up when she’s found a mucky puddle, taking good care so she doesn’t eat any of her food intolerances, and being flexible when she was ill recently. Our 6 year old Border Terrier loves Laura!! He waits patiently at the window for her, then goes bananas when she arrives, bouncing up and down with eagerness to get out and when the lead finally exchanges hands, he drags Laura over to her van!! So keen! Laura has been brilliant with our dog -she clearly loves animals and they can sense it because they love her back. I highly recommend Laura!
Laura started walking our dog last year as we wanted to get him more socialised. He was nervous at first but now absolutely loves his walks and is so excited when she arrives. Laura is absolutely brilliant with our nervous, timid rescue lurcher Corrie. On 'Laura days' Corrie is often camped out by the front door an hour or so before walk time, or checking out of the window until she is picked up. And she comes back as happy as can be. And this is a dog that doesn't really like other people very much and usually runs away when the doorbell goes. Would definitely recommend Oh My Dog, as would Corrie!
Serge absolutely loves Laura! He knows it is her on walk days as soon as the close door opens and stands and wags his tail at the front door. Laura is very reliable and flexible to accommodate my circumstances which is incredibly helpful. I sometimes have to get Serge walked last minute and she always manages to fit him in. Great service and Serge absolutely loves his walks.

Laura has taken our wee Nessie out for a few weeks now and it's great! She comes back tired and usually muddy (Laura gives them a clean before she leaves them at the house but a couple of times we've been in for drop off so we've seen how dirty she can be) but that just means she's had a great time. Would highly recommend!!!
