Audrey was great! We would get picture updates and it was clear Pip loved having her stay.
It was an absolute pleasure to house sit for William and Cécile and to care for their delightfully cute and adorable young cats Pearl and Gaia. We were able to meet ahead of the house sit and provided with all the information we could possibly need. The house is situated in a very pleasant, relaxed and quiet part of South Manchester with easy access to local facilities. The south facing garden is spacious, private and the house is very comfortable, well equipped, tidy and with everything you would need. The kitchen is particularly spacious, sunlit and airy. Pearl and Gaia were easy to manage, well behaved and very, very, cute! They explored the local gardens during the day but always came back instantly with a magical recall system they had been trained with! William, Cécile and their children were all very good company, personable and likeable people. We made a good choice. Thanks guys!
I really enjoyed my week in Oxford caring for Cosima and Pruna for Oriana & Arnau. Cosi is a snuggler and will take advantage of a lap and a blanket often. She'll let you know when she wants attention. Cosi, a Sphinx, requires a little special care which was no problem. She's is such a sweetheart! Pruna, while a little aloof, is curious and will roll over for belly rubs when desired. She gets a little rough with Cosi, which occasionally requires human intervention, but it's mostly hissing etc. rather than real injury. The kitty gymnastics were fun to watch too! Their home is very comfortable and has every everything needed. It is well located for walking to the city centre, for public transportation and I felt safe. The Welcome Guide was thorough and included pictures too. A few videos were also provided. While our paths didn't cross, communication was very good at all stages of the sit. Experienced hosts, adorable cats and a lovely city! Thanks Oriana & Arnau for the opportunity!
We really enjoyed staying in Joanna’s home! Joanna was absolutely lovely, accomodating and easy to communicate with. She also provided detailed instructions and walked us through everything, so we felt very comfortable and well prepared. Lola and Mico were adorable. Lola is a cheerful, happy and well behaved doggy. She absolutely loves playing with her ball. We had a lot of amazing walks with her. Mico is independant but loves cuddles. Both Lola and Mico were very easy to look after and we had fun getting to know their personnalities. The house is amazing and the garden and country side around are absolutely beautiful and great for relaxing. We highly recommend Joanna’s family.
Emilie, David and their daughter, Leonie are lovely people. The house is great and has every amenity. Annecy, the dog is well behaved and happy. Great house sit.
I had my very first housesit in Elena’s cozy apartment in Berlin, taking care of the cutest dog Zola. Elena and Zola were so good at making me feel welcome and very helpful in terms of useful information about her place, area, and activities. Zola is the sweetest dog and we clicked as soon as we met. She is loving, calm, playful, and overall very easy to look after. I felt very safe and relaxed, walking and taking the train with her. I can only recommend Elena as a host, with her good communication and friendly personality. Hopefully, we will meet again one day!
Every day of our stay was truly heaven for us and we're so grateful for our time caring for Sarah's and Mark's home and farm. Beyond being wonderful and caring hosts, we've come to feel them as good friends. Smokey and Pudding, being farm cats, at first seemed fairly independent but day-by-day grew to be sweet, funny, wonderful companions, joining us for our morning chocolate or coffee, accompanying us on our daily rounds about the farm, and stretching out for soothing purring, rubs, and catnaps at the day's end. From nickers and whinnies as we stepped out each morning to climbing up the hill from grazing whenever we would call their names, we grew so close to Belle and Jolie that it was difficult to say goodbye--our last day filled with soft nickers and tears. Though spring was pretty chilly for much of Europe this year, the farm and countryside were so magical and beautiful that we've now set plans to move France. The farm itself is so serene and peaceful--deer grazing in the pastures on our morning walks...blissful quiet in our days at work, reading, and writing...sunsets on the rolling hills that stopped us in our footsteps to simply watch in silence--we passed most days without ever leaving except to pick up a fresh baguette or run a short errand. And when venturing out, whether to greens and fruits at the weekly market, eating a romantic dinner at our favorite café in town, or heading out to nearby villages for a flower show, flea market, or just to explore, we grew so fond of our stay at Mark and Sarah's that it was more difficult to leave than we could ever have imagined...and with gratitude for their friendship, the memories, and days to come that lie ahead.
