Peter was a great pet and house sitter! We came home to happy cats, happy plants, and a clean house. Our communication was good and it gave me a lot of piece of mind on our trip to know things were going well at home. We would definitely have Peter sit again.
We really enjoyed meeting Lucy and having her look after Zipper and our home. Her communication was great from the start and she was comfortable asking any questions. She arrived a few hours before we left to get oriented to the house and meet Zipper - they were fast friends right away. Our home was left spotless, sheets and towels were clean and you couldn't tell anyone had been in the kitchen. We got a few updates (which were unexpected since it was only a long weekend) which were nice. We highly recommend Lucy as a sitter and hope to have her back again.

We have over 10 years of experience prior to THS & this sit was very disorganized on our arrival. We arrived the night before to do the handover. While some verbal instructions were given, the homeguide wasn't ready. I had requested it via THS earlier. It was finally given to us in the am when Darcy was prepping to leave. The house hadn"t been cleaned or room made in the fridge for groceries. We were asked to leave them in the car overnight. Thank goodness for cooler temperatures. On an earlier review someone made a comment about her expectations of duties were high. We are in agreement to that. I felt that the respect for a mutual exchange was missing. We were being given orders. Her listing did mention the AirBNB however we weren't informed of the guests until we arrived or the fact that the deck or backyard are shared space. There isn't a privacy divider. We were told that once the guests were gone, that was it A few days later we were suprised to see a guest walking her dog in the backyard. I thought she was trespasser. I must admit that I skimmed over the Ammenities & missed the fact thst there isn't a TV or shower. Darcy has a beautiful claw foot bathtub, however it takes about 35 -40 mins. to fill it. Prep time in the a.m would be close to 1.5 hours for the two of us. GOOD NEWS Her home & garden is spectacular. So many unique art pieces. The surrounding area offers beautiful beaches, plenty of hiking trails & great day trips. Amber is so smart & a great hiking companion. Loves cuddling & being patted. One of the sweetest dogs we have had the pleasure of looking after. Onyx is a playful loving guy, who lets you know when he wants attention. Great lap cat with the best purr. From previous reviews we may look like "sour grapes" but I haven't any idea why this was experience was so different.
