Hudson was an absolute gem to take care of; he captured my heart from the moment I laid eyes on him. His beautiful personality, combined with his peaceful, easy-going nature, friendly demeanor, and gentle excitement, melted my heart. Walking him was an absolute joy. Watching his excitement as he sniffed around, little bursts of playful energy with his adorable wagging tail, always brought a smile to my face. He adores his toys, and it was such a delight to see him entertained. He also loves snuggles and never left my side, always keeping me company. Every time I turned around and saw him watching me, it would make me laugh. He brought so much joy and was a truly wonderful companion. Bea and Detlef are welcoming and fantastic hosts. Their spacious and beautiful house was a pleasure to stay in. My bedroom was lovely, adorned with nice paintings and a very comfortable bed. The garden was a treat with its variety of blooming flowers, a visual delight to witness. Lastly, Fort Langley is a charming and quaint small town with so much to offer. It's filled with historical sites that are well-maintained, and the streets are adorned with charming flowers. Exploring the different antique stores and appreciating the various art pieces was a delightful experience. The community is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall, my experience of dog and house sitting was absolutely delightful. I highly recommend it to others. You will fall in love with the charming gentleman, Hudson, and the enchanting town of Fort Langley. It's an experience not to be missed!
We had a wonderful time looking after Moose and Little Ro!!! Eric and Kathleen were very gracious and even fed us an excellent lunch when we arrived. Moose is super easy going and very loveable. He just wants to be around you and will follow you wherever you go. Little Ro is very well behaved and will let you know when he wants something. He will snuggle with you on the couch and loves to be petted. We miss both of them already:) The house is very comfortable with a nice covered patio, soaking pool and big back yard. We were able to walk to restaurants and grocery stores. We ate at The Fisherman's Wife a couple of times and loved the Grouper. The beach is about a 5 minute drive and not crowded with easy walking, bathrooms and no parking fees. Carrabelle is a pretty laid back community and just a relaxing environment. We would love to sit for Moose and Little Ro again!!!
Gabi's and Carsten's place was a huge pleasure to take care of. This was one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed, thanks to Gabi's care, how they prepared everything for us, and thanks to people in the village. The tasks were clear, the property is really lovely, and we enjoyed some gardening a lot as the dogs were not there this time. Thanks a lot, Gabi and Carsten, we loved looking after your house and garden!
We had a wonderful time at Christina’s home in Bozeman. Her house is lovely, comfortable, and very clean inside. We would’ve been happy to have stayed much longer! We spent a little time with Christina before and after the sit and we really like her. Easy to communicate with and very easy to sit for. Her 2 cats are very sweet. Teaser warmed up to us immediately and Firecat was not too far behind. They are both affectionate yet independent. When they decided to sit on our laps or jump into bed with us, it was always a happy moment for us. But the real star of the show is Tilly. She was not excited to meet us, but that only lasted for a few minutes. After that, she was the most loving and affectionate dog you can imagine. We loved having her in bed with us at night since she loves cuddling. (You can shut the door to the room if that’s not really your thing.) Also, we highly recommend taking her to the dog park. We took her to Gallatin Park a number of times. She basically lives to chase after a ball…and she is FAST!!! It’s amazing to watch her run. Overall this is a terrific sit and we highly recommend it.
This was an amazing sit. Probably the best by far. The location was amazing, Amanda a great host and the best of all were Charli and Bobbi. Easily the two most adorable fur babies we've ever cared for. We got lots and lots of cuddles and had some amazing walks with them. We'd be back in a flash. Thank you so much Amanda for the opportunity.
Charlotte and Paul-Eric are wonderful hosts who are kind, easy-going and welcoming. We had an initial video call and on the day the sit started, Charlotte showed me around and communicated well what needed to be done. Communication with them was always prompt and easy. They live in a spacious flat in Friedrichshain, a vibrant district of Berlin. From here, it’s easy to go wherever you’d like in and around Berlin. The flat is very comfortable with lots of natural light coming in. This flat is also inhabited by a cute little creature named Gary. Gary is a young cat with lots of personality who loves to chase his toy mice around the house, or whatever other toys you’ll present him with. He will be up for it, and he will appreciate any moment you’d like to play with him. He also plays on his own sometimes which is cute to watch. While he is energetic and playful, he also enjoys napping. In the evenings, that’s usually next to you on the couch. Gary is a chatty character who likes to tell you about his needs (like ‘hey, I think I deserve a treat now, don’t you think’ :) ), or maybe the dreams he has just had. We had some interesting conversations together. He’s very knowledgeable. :) It’s been a lovely time in Berlin with Gary, and it’s been a pleasure to look after him.
