Well this was a particularly special sit. Dirk and Erna were very generous and welcoming hosts. Their home is delightful; cozy, expansive and with a million dollar view. It’s far enough outside the city to be its own destination but I was still able to get into work. The cats of course are the real point, and I enjoyed them immensely. It takes a day or two to be allowed to join the tribe, but I have a soft spot for Bengals and I know the drill. These two were the quietest pair of the breed I’ve ever met. Both super healthy and very open to being petted. Overall just a perfect house sit, and I plan on being available to stay there as often as possible for several years to come.
Gracie-Nelly the cat mom was really a chill person which I find makes everything go smooth. I was back in the city at a comfortable and convenient location with a sweet cat who only wanted my attention. Clear and concise directions. All went smooth.
Cuteness Alert!!!! Bentley, Twiggy, and Chuey are adorable trio. They are very well-behaved, playful, and highly lovable. The group enjoys playing fetch and showing off their competitiveness, especially Chuey. Bentley is the lover of the pack, and he would demand your attention. Twiggy is the balance that brings Chuey and Bentley in line. Spending time with them will quickly put you on cuteness overload. James and Hector are very accommodating and have a beautiful home offering every modern amenity you could imagine. Their exotic garden is spectacular. I have a photo album full of exotic flowers I never knew existed. Staying there felt like vacationing in a tropical resort. It would be a pleasure to come back and sit with these adorable fur babies any time.
We enjoyed this sit immensely. Sohail's apartment is neat, clean and has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Leia; the cat, was very playful, loveable and loving. She loves to be played with and caressed once she's finished playing. She's Avery smart cat too. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood but is 3 minutes walk to the bus stop and 7 minutes to the tram stop which is next to Migros, a good size supermarket. One could easily ride either the bus or the tram to the heart of the city which is inky about 15 minutes ride... we rode both forms of these public transportations to visit all the attractions in and around Basel. I highly recommend Sohail and Leia for an absolutely enjoyable time and experience in Basel.
We loved our time looking after Lizzie and Oscar. Not only were they very easy to care for, they were super cute and great company (Lizzie was brilliantly behaved when we were out with her). Catherine’s house is in a fantastic location - walking distance from Hastings centre and the Old Town (very near Smugglers Adventure). The house was very comfortable and Catherine made sure we had everything we needed 😊
I enjoyed your mountain hideaway, and the four cats...Oliver, Random, Honeybadger and Mac were charming companions. Marcia was easy to communicate with, and her neighbor was very helpful. I suggest adding a few landmarks to the directions to the house, ie turn at the first fork after the Arroyo Seco village and go past the Holy Trinity Church for x distance, then when the road turns toward the mountains...take a sharp turn onto x road. Go x distance and the driveway, with flower boxes, will be on the right. You know you missed the turn if you drive into the mountain village...or something like that. Now I know exactly how to find you! I would welcome another opportunity to housesit for you in the future, if you'd like. Thank you, Mary Sky
