Matt and Mel stayed in our home for three weeks. This was a first experience of using Zeewoi for us both and I think we all felt it had worked well. Matt was easy to communicate with and from the outset I felt positive about trusting him with our home and dog, Pepys. On our return from holiday it was clear that Pepys was relaxed and had been well looked after and the house looked as clean and tidy as we had left it. I would definitely recommend Matt and Mel as a friendly, sensitive and caring couple to invite as sitters.
ok WHERE ARE THE OTHER 5 STARS? Cole is a fantastic housesitter, aside from being a really interesting person! She made time to come early for training and I could immediately tell that she would focus and care for our animals and also take care of our home and plants really well. She communicated very clearly through text and phone to clarify any questions, and put up with our animals' many shenanigans. When we returned from our trip, late in the evening and tired, we found our instructions were followed to a T and she had tidied up after herself above and beyond what was expected! I hope she can sit for us again soon and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.
I invited Carrie and her mother to sit for me. She took good care of my dog, sending pictures and walking her every day. Unfortunately, we both made assumptions about the sit which diminished its value. I assumed she and her mother would be the only ones in my house and they had a male guest. My dog is not keen on males and I was disappointed that she didn’t ask me first. When I returned in the evening, tired from my trip, I was disappointed to see that the 2 beds were not made and the sheets were in a pile in the hallway. There were also a few dirty dishes in the sink. I had made the assumption that my beds would be remade and at the least, put on the washer. Her assumption was that because the housekeepers were here they would take care of these tasks. I’m in independent living and they do not take care of those tasks. I have learned that I need to be clear and specific with my expectations. I’m hopeful that she would have done these things if she knew they were expected, but on her end she also needs to communicate better.
I had a great stay with Roxy and Betty in Harrison. They were so much fun to be around the whole week, very easy to care for and just lovely companions. Roxy the chihuahua is constant entertainment and laughs throughout the day, Betty is a sweetheart and they get along great. Kim was a very welcoming host, even went out of her way to buy me some groceries before I arrived. Lovely, spacious home with good natural lighting and a nice fenced in yard the dogs can access. Comfortable home in the suburbs with beautiful nature trails around but also only a short drive into downtown Cincinnati. This was a really relaxing housesit and I would definitely watch the girls for Kim again.
