Cat Sitters in Niagara

From the outset I was very confident that Mary & Ian were ideal sitters to cope with the nuances of my furry family of 3 ! As . We had chatted several times on Whatssap, and both had had cats as pets over many years, and a wealth of life experience living with cats!! As soon as they arrived Mary & Ian set about familiarising themselves with the apartment layout and then observing the foibles of Mau, Kitty& Toots., including the litter tray routine ( lol)….Marrying my outline Guide to the “real deal”, and I believe they, like my cats themselves , were not at all daunted at the prospect of being surrogate trusted “fur parents” for a week . All 3 furs vied for attention, and Kitty, although quite nervy,, took to sitting on Mary’s lap at every available opportunity …with Mau & Toots competing for attention… and their daily groomings too!!!, when they returned from their daily sojourn , exploring the area., they had the energy to care for and be entertained by the furs! Mary’s excellent forward planning ensured that they gave time to the furs on a morning before setting off…and again on an evening , Ensuring that the cats’ routine, especially feeding times ,was not disrupted and as all parties enjoyed waking fairly early?.? (lol) Mary & Ian had time to explore and enjoy visiting several highly recommended tourist attractions, they had researched. Ian was a gem and offered to sort out finishing laying down approx 400 kilos of Wood chip and off cuts based “soil” along the side of my drive, AND remove Garden garbage to the recycle area , down the road. So the outside was very tidy & orderly, on my return . Mary watered my pot plants on the calçada , AND Enjoyed fresh lemons & picking physalis berries( Chinese gooseberries) . All my flowering plants , young tomatoes , beetroot n onions were thriving on my return. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Kitty , Mau & Toots, my garden and my home. Everywhere was clean and tidy and in good order when I returned. The cats simply adored Mary , and the regular photo updates sent to me by Mary endorsed the fact that I had not been missed!! It was truly lovely to have you stay and look after M,K,T and get to know you a little. The “5 Star” rating for every aspect of their stay reflects Mary & Ian’s commitment to be genuine “zeewoi”, and importantly ensure that Mau, Kitty & Toots…. Were safe and cared for , during my absence…….. they simply Never missed me!! We all really enjoyed your company …Thank you sooooo very much. If you are ever blown off course in your world wide adventures and land in Portugal again….please look us up!,,,…you’ll always be Welcome.

Sheila was our first pet sitter experience, and we were quite nervous and hesitant at first having someone new look after our kitties while we were gone. But we couldn't have asked for a better caretaker and person to do the job! Sheila also has two cats and is very familiar with pet care and also administering medication, which was one of our biggest concern with Apollo. Sheila was very responsive from the beginning, responded to messages timely and also offered to do a video call before her visit. She put us at ease from the beginning and we were confident that she will be a great match to look after our kitties. Sheila was good at providing us with pictures and updates in the morning and evening, not too much to disrupt our time away, but just enough so that we don't have to worry. She demonstrated a great ability to follow our instructions/guidelines to help maintain our kitties daily routine to avoid any stress and anxiety on their part. Sheila left our home tidy and clean, and with a little gift to put a smile on our faces when we got home. Our kitties missed us a lot for sure, but they were in good spirits and we could tell that they were well taken care of and given lots of love and attention. We would definitely have Sheila back again!

We had the pleasure of having Joanne look after our cat Séamus for Canada Day Weekend. She was super organized and helpful throughout. She had some questions before to make sure every little detail was taken care of, and was really responsive via text when needed. Very flexible to our schedule and sent some updates throughout. Would highly recommend Joanne to anyone without a moment's hesitation :) Thanks Joanne!

The day I meet with Scott and Belinda, I knew straight away that they were the perfect sitters for my girls Pixie & Scout. Pixie is a rescue pup and a good judge of character and immediately she was comfortable around them. Scout loves everybody. While I was away Pixie had her birthday, they went to the pet shop to buy a toy and they had a pup party at home with party hats, tiaras and special treats for the birthday girl. I got photos from them regularly. The love they both showed towards the girls was beautiful. I would have them every time as my sitters if they lived that little bit closer. I would recommend them as amazing. Thank you so much :)

Having Mark in my home was my first pet sit and it was a great experience. I had a short time to review everything with Mark when he arrived at the house but the welcome guide was a great idea and it allowed me to leave more information. Frick is skittish until he ways up to anyone but then he is very loving. Frack is happy from the onset. Frick warmed up to Mark quickly. We stayed in contact over text. Mark made this easy for me and I am grateful. Thank you Mark!

Such a great sit by Mallory! She communicated well every step of the process, arrived exactly when she said she would, kept our cat Milo happy and well-cared for, and even left the flat spotless upon our return. Mallory is reliable and self-sufficient. Please don’t hesitate to book her for your future pet-sitting needs.

Margaret was fantastic - our pets were well cared for l, happy and healthy when we came home! The house was clean and tidy and we were even surprised with a treat!!! We had communications during our time away and got a picture or 2 of our happy pup! I would highly recommend Margaret - we had complete peace of mind while away!

Normally with a sitter, you worry foremost about your pup's practical needs being met, and it's a bonus if your pup's emotional needs are also met. John was fantastic in meeting KBlue's practical and emotional needs, especially since KBlue's separation anxiety had ticked up a bit recently. Hearing about John's own experience with his rescue, I knew KBlue's rescue baggage would be empathized with, and he was going to be well taken care of. John was also super flexible, going the extra mile to accommodate my travel schedule. By the time I left KBlue in John's care, I was already reassured he was in excellent hands and that reassurance was maintained throughout the sit. Highly recommend.

Aaron and Smeeta and their children were ideal house sitters. They arrived a day early to get fully prepped and informed about pool care and chicken care. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them a bit. Aaron gave us daily updates and was able to troubleshoot a few hiccups with the mower and such. We came home to a sparkling pool and an extremely clean and tidy house. We had such a stellar first house sitter experience with Aaron and Smeeta and would highly recommend them!

Kristen and Linda arrived the evening before we left; by the time we departed the following morning for New Zealand we were both absolutely confident our much loved cats and home were in very safe hands. Kristen sent us daily updates on the 'gang' reassuring us that all was well. When we returned home, after a long flight, Kristen and Linda were all packed up ready to hand our home back to us. Not only was everything clean and tidy, the fridge and larder were stocked with enough food that we didn't need to immediately go food shopping ... a welcome bonus after a long trip. A truly lovely mother and daughter team who the cats clearly adored; in fact I think Rosie is disappointed to see us return! They looked after our home and 'family' with respect and love; we cannot recommend them highly enough.
