They looked after Koko and Brittany brilliantly. The house was so tidy when we got home too, which was so nice after a flight home. We would not hesitate to recommend them as house sitters and hope they will agree to come and look after Koko and Brittany again.
Sue is a house-sitting dream come true. Not only did she take our two dogs out for daily exercise adventures, she dropped us at the airport and picked us up, left us wonderfully curated wine and dinner-makings for our first night home, left the house cleaner than when she arrived, emptied the garbage, recycling and compost, washed the sheets and put them back on the bed, and washed the towels and put them back in the bathroom, bought the dogs new toys, and picked up all the poo in the backyard. The list goes on. If you want the ultimate 5-star housesitter, choose Sue. She sets a very high bar! It was a pleasure to meet her and spend a little time with her before we left.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Zachary to other hosts. His communication was clear and easy during the planning stages and during the sit itself. Our cat clearly had a great time with him and we got timely detailed updates. The apartment was left clean and tidy for our return which we really appreciated. He’s be welcome back any time.
The Cat: Mitzie is a very sweet, affectionate cat. She warmed up to us within a day or two. It was no problem giving her medication twice a day. Whenever we came home she was waiting for us at the door which was so cute. Mitzie, we’ll miss you and we hope to see you again. The owner: Dorothy is extremely nice and was immediately responsive whenever we had a question. She spent time with us before she left showing us how to give Mitzie medication and how she liked her food etc… That was so helpful. She also made a very thorough welcome document that covered everything. The apartment: The apartment was immaculate and just like the pictures on the site. The bed was very comfortable. The building was quiet and we didn’t hear street noises at night. Also, the cat didn’t keep us awake. I’m a light sleeper and I had no trouble sleeping in the apartment. Location: Loved being a 2 minute (no exaggeration) walk from the bus which dropped us off right at the sky train. Also, every amenity was within a 2 to 10 minute walk. It was a nice neighbourhood and we felt safe walking around.
