I had a wonderful time sitting for Laura and taking care of Teddy. This 3 month period was everything I needed and I look forward to returning for another sit when Laura needs me. I can recommend this sit for any Sitter looking for peace, quiet and comfort.
We had a fantastic time taking care of Dixie for a week. She is super sweet and very well mannered. I enjoyed taking her for walks along the trail as well as going to the local dog park. Jaime and Karl’s house is clean, comfortable, and in a nice neighborhood. They were great hosts and we would definitely recommend this sit.
I had a wonderful time looking after Lola and Benji! They have such charming personalities. Whether we were playing in the yard or snuggling on the couch, they were great company to have around (and are excellent watchdogs, too!) Meeting Megan and Alistair was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was among old friends. They were incredibly welcoming and kind and went out of their way to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. From stocking my groceries to leaving me a set of house shoes—their hospitality was sublime. The guest home where I stayed was spacious, cozy, and had all the amenities I needed to feel right at home. I slept exceptionally, and the bedroom has a gorgeous view overlooking a green pasture with a window that catches the sunrise as the birdies chirp in the morning. It was so peaceful. I would jump at the chance to stay here again!
Loki is such a loving and funny little cat. He’s very vocal and active. He loved having his hair brushed, being pet and snuggled, and enjoying his breakfast. Lynn and Fred make everything so easy for you to take good care of him! The house is incredibly well-appointed in a neighborhood with quick and easy access to Bellingham and Whatcom County, but situated in a leafy bower that makes you feel like you’re in a treehouse far from other homes. The view is spectacular and the house is clean, bright, and airy. I slept really well in the quiet guest bedroom. I happen to have known Fred and Lynn for decades and even worked for them after college. They are truly two of the kindest and most interesting people you’ll meet. They ran three of my family’s favorite restaurants in Whatcom County (okay… everyone loved these restaurants!) and pioneered healthy, ethical eating and consumption in our region. They’re such special members of our community. If you have the opportunity to housesit for Loki, take it! Everything is laid back and open-hearted and Loki will be very good company for you! Cannot recommend enough!
Pet sitting for Marilee & Lindy is like having a best-kept secret that I don't want to tell! Auttie, Milo & Wali are a funny trio with a unique bond between them. It's obvious they all are the best of friends and are surrounded by lots of love. And they are so well behaved too! The Base Camp cabin is like visiting a mountain retreat surrounded by beauty & peacefulness. Marilee is a very gracious host who made certain I had everything I needed, including snacks! (Who doesn't love snacks?!) The cabin is super comfy & impeccably clean. All in all, pet & house sitting for the Base Camp family is one of the dreamiest sits you could ever do!
