Staying a week in Catherine's home and sitting Jaz & Ziggy felt like a retreat :) The two furry ones are not only beautiful creatures but also have beautiful characters and are easy to be with. Communication with Catherine has been very smooth. A lovely person and so is the rest of the house. It is calm, open & bright and has floor heating which even during the colder days it always felt cozy inside. And then I even enjoyed the little town and all the signs talking about it's history I would def come back :)
I have nothing but praise for Sarah and Lola! Communication was excellent from the get-go, on Zoom and then via WhatsApp. Sarah could not have been nicer to me when I arrived, showing me around the house and the neighborhood. She is a very kind and thoughtful person. When she asked me to come back I didn’t hesitate! Sarah’s house is very quiet and comfy, just minutes away from the train and overground station. As for Lola, she was friendly to me right away and in a matter of days she started sleeping on my bed. This cutie likes a good belly rub, fishing rod toys and a good hunting session in the backyard. She is so much fun to be around, I just adore her. Sarah thank you for everything, you know I will be delighted to care for Lola again :)
We had a great sit at Emma's with good communication throughout. We spent the evening together before she left getting to know the house and the dog's. Emma made us feel very welcome to her home plus a nice meal. Jaffa and Crumble proved to be absolute softies they love to be next to you on your lap if it's Crumble. Nola Emma's daughter's dog also became part of the team adding to the antics. The location is perfect near the New Forest which we visited but the local walks are outstanding. Paths in all directions from the door, allowing for so much choice amazing wildlife seen everyday. Stable and Wick farm shop a few steps down the road for daily coffee and pastries not to be missed. Highly recommend for walking with lovely companions.
Mike and Katie were wonderful people to sit for, and Peanut and Chilli were a pleasure to care for. The dogs are easy to manage once you know their routine and very fun to get to know their personalities! The house is very comfortable, and I felt right at home while I was there (I actually sat for 10 days, we just had technical difficulties putting it in the site correctly). Mike and Katie are laid back, friendly, and easy to communicate with; they made this experience an extremely positive one!
I had the pleasure of caring for Risa's beautiful cat, Paloma, for a week while she was away. Paloma is a delightful, affectionate cat who loves to snuggle on your lap every chance she gets. But while she appreciates the attention, she will happily leave when she has had enough. Paloma does take medicine periodically, but she is accustomed to it and administering it is not a problem. Risa was great about giving a demonstration before she left. Risa's home is very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near the charming shops and restaurants of Squirrel Hill and The Waterfront. Risa herself is a warm and welcoming host, ensuring I felt at home throughout my stay. Moreover, Risa excelled in maintaining clear and open lines of communication. Her welcome guide is thorough and she is fabulous about responding promptly to texts. I highly recommend housesitting for Risa and Paloma—it's an experience you won't regret! They both have my highest recommendation!
