Boy oh boy, will we miss this place! Tucker and Jonah are the most amazing pets, cuddly and affection-giving, but not at all needy, the house is beautiful, large and comfortable, but low-maintenance and Lizzie & Adrian are the nicest couple, super friendly and readily available throughout our stay. The views will leave you breathless, the surrounding areas are as quintessentially English as it gets and you will leave the sit feeling refreshed and energised. A really lovely stay, one in which we made great memories to treasure for years to come. An experience we would happily repeat, given the opportunity! Strongly recommended.
I spent a couple of wonderful days at Ruud and Christine's house. They are a very sweet and welcoming couple. When I arrived, they would still be there for two days, and they invited me and my brother for two really delicious meals. Ruud is a great chef, and I'm sure I will remember the discovery of brandy butter for the rest of my life! We had the most interesting conversations, they are both very interesting and interested persons. I felt very welcome and comfortable right away at their place. Thank you for sharing your story, Christine! Ruud and Christine have a small holiday appartment in the ground floor of their house, this is where I stayed with my brother while they were away. It's very cozy and clean. Sweet Ginger is a real treasure. I went upstairs to feed him and play with him, and whenever he wanted, he came to visit us downstairs and sat with us on the couch in the evenings. I'll miss him! The house and the village are situated in the most beautiful landscape, we had great walks. It's also very quiet - perfect for someone who would like to escape the busy life for a couple of days. Thank you so much, Ruud and Christine for making this relaxing and beautiful holiday over Christmas possible for me and my brother. I hope I can be back one day!
I couldn't have asked for a better house-sitting experience. I stayed for 5 months and Marines was incredibly kind, easy-going, helpful and generous and made me feel comfortable, safe and welcomed in her home. Federico and Sofia are affectionate and loving cats that were a joy to live with, easy to take care of and a lot of fun to play with. I miss them a lot! Marines lives in the perfect location, with an incredibly large balcony and views overlooking the ocean, just a short 5-10 minute walk and you can swim in the sea, or walk along the coast to get to the famous Island of Ortigia. Sicily has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever lived. You can also find cafes, a supermarket and restaurants in short walking distance from the home. I have nothing but wonderful memories from my stay in Siracuse and would highly recommend this house-sit to anyone!
Roxy is such a sweetheart!!! She seriously has such a sweet and wonderful personality and will become your friend instantly. She's always happy and ready to play, and likes to be by your side. She's super cute, and a pleasure to take care of. The apartment location is great, and is really nice and convenient for taking Roxy out and going on walks. When you take her out for her walks, it's right by the water, so you get to experience seeing the water every single day, which is really nice. Roxy is very friendly and wants to say hi to everyone when you're out. Jeff was great as well and made everything super easy. Overall, a great sit that I'd recommend, and a sit that I hope to do again myself to spend more time with Roxy in the future. :)
Charlie and Jenny are kind and generous hosts and Megan, their young black labrador, is an absolute delight, very affectionate and most obedient. All in all a very pleasurable experience.
Julie & Matt's house was so welcoming & clean, we truly enjoyed our stay. They left very clear guidelines to take care of Busy, so everything went by smoothly. We loved taking care of Busy; every morning she came sitting with us in the sun by the window while we were sipping our coffee. We will miss her! The house is located in a calm area, while being very close - about 4min bike ride - to Bushwick which as many nice bars and restaurants. It was absolutely perfect for us! We would definitely recommend this stay and go back in the future.
