We had a fantastic time looking after Nicki's furry family - we absolutely loved it! Ziggi is a dream dog to look after: calm, very responsive to gentle instruction and respectful of every dog, human and the wildlife we met. We spent a day exploring Oxford and he took in everything with ease - including the big group of schoolchildren who asked to take his photo. Well, he is a wee cutie! We didn't hear him bark, only a soft wooft once when he wanted his bed moved off the couch. He enjoys playing tug and making a den with the rug, he's such a happy wee guy. Alice is the friendliest cat who loves to snuggle and be stroked. Joyfully, she sometimes chose to join Ziggi on our walks over the extensive fields next to the house! Zappa spent more time outdoors though loved a snuggle on your lap or at your feet when in bed. They're all lovely animals to be with, snuggling up and sleeping next to each other. So heart-warming! The animals are very happy in themselves and warmly welcomed us into their home. In short - Nicki is great! We had a lovely dogwalk and visit the day before so that we were familiar with everything and the best route into Blenheim Palace grounds. Nicki's welcome pack is fully comprehensive so there was nothing we needed to ask. We appreciated Nicki's solid organisation, and having back-up plans in plans for whatever eventuality e.g., should we need to leave early in an emergency or Nicki being held up on her return. Our communication was relaxed and appreciated. Woodstock and surrounding is gorgeous! We met many lovely locals who suggested different walks and activities (we'd researched on Tripadvisor but it's good to get local gen as well.) Ziggi loved playing disc-golf with us at the woods at The Old Shed, ie ran off with it sometimes so we incorporated it into our rules and he was our Joker :) We really appreciated him when he found the discs when we couldn't! All in all, we had an amazing stay in Nicki's simply stunning home and would heartily recommend Nicki and her furry family. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!! Thank you so much again Nicki!! :) xx
We looked after sweet little Zoe for a week in Teddington. Vivien and Mark were lovely to pick us up from the train station on the day we got there and we all went for lunch, it was extremely kind and a lovely introduction to the area. We all stayed the night before they left, so we could get to know the ins and outs of the house and get to know Zoe as well. Zoe is one of the sweetest cats we've ever encountered - she loves a cuddle, scratch and just hanging out in the lounge room (if she's not already snuggled somewhere warm). Thanks for having us!
Thank you John & Fiona for the opportunity to spend some time in your lovely house at the top of the Lake District. Yes, it was a shame that Maggie didn’t get on with my dog. Luckily, an old friend came to the rescue. Maggie was very affectionate once she warmed to me. I did find her very strong on the lead and I was unable to let her off-lead, as she was reactive to both other dogs and people, although we didn’t see many walkers, as this is a quiet place and there are no immediate neighbours. Lovely for the peace & quiet and lots of birds and other wildlife to see. Carlisle only 25 minutes drive for larger supermarkets and shops and I went to a gym there. Easy to get to and not far from the M6. Fiona & John made every effort to enable a comfortable stay and even left me food to keep me going for some time. Would be good to keep in touch.
Sally & Rocky welcomed us one day before their departure in their great house. We were warmly welcomed! A beautiful and cozy place, and we immediately felt at home. We stayed in their cottage on the property in the middle of the green for the first two nights. After they left, we moved to the main house. Trees all around, a fish pond and lots of birds. It was not far from downtown Atlanta. But we spent most of our time in the large covered sunroom. Bailey is such a sweet cat and a pleasure to look after. We loved him! He was so calm and had almost no demands. He had exceptional food and also needed medicine for his joints. Unfortunately, he is deaf. We pampered him with lots of love and brushing. I would recommend Bailey's home to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in beautiful Druid Hills. We thank you so much for the opportunity to sit, and we hope to see you next time!
These are the absolute most wonderful cats! Big squishy snuggly sweethearts. Amy and Darren's home is also lovely, with a sweeping panoramic vista and lots of natural light. They did a great job thoughtfully leaving notes for me and we communicated well throughout my stay. You will love it here!
Communication with Roger before the housesit was very pleasant asking us if we needed anything in preparation for our weekend in the beautiful countryside that surrounds his cottage. We were so excited to meet Bella from the photos we had seen of her and she was such a pleasure to take care of. We enjoyed walks with her, brushing her and her nesting her head on our laps and even the way she carried her food in her mouth and spilled it near us to eat even closer to us, this dog loves people's company and we loved that. Thank you for all the tips Roger and the wonderful stay in your lovely lovely home. ♥️
