We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Mari-Ann and Jeff and looking after Ruth and Gaby. From the moment we arrived at their home, we were warmly welcomed and made us feel right at home. Ruth and Gaby are two lovely dogs who were a joy to look after. They were well-behaved, friendly, and we already miss them! In addition to caring for the dogs, the hosts also went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. They provided us with a very comfortable room, access to all necessary amenities, and offered suggestions on local attractions to explore during our time in the area. Our experience was truly delightful and we would not hesitate to return in the future. Thank you for entrusting us with the care of your beloved pets – it was a pleasure to spend time with Ruth and Gaby!
I had a lovely time looking after Kate and Jon’s stunning house and their friendly furry family. We had a virtual meeting before agreeing the sit and met for an hour for a cup of tea and a tour of the house before they left. Kate and Jon were very friendly and made me feel at home and even left me a welcome gift. There were clear and comprehensive instructions provided for looking after Ellis, Boris and Rigby which made the whole experience much easier and also helpful to the animals to feel more settled. Though really they are very easy animals to look after. There are friendly neighbours nearby who were aware I was house-sitting and stopped to say hello when we met on our regular walks. Ellis is such a great dog and I miss him already, really easy to walk on the lead, calm and with a lovely nature in house. The cats have their own routine and like most older cats, spent most of the time sleeping in particular places in the house. The house is beautiful and spotlessly clean and tidy while remaining a relaxed environment. I felt spoilt to be staying there and in such lovely surroundings. There are lots of walks from the door but you would need a car to get to the property and to travel to shops etc. The room available for me was spacious with wardrobe room and a very comfortable bed which I happily shared with Boris each night. The location is stunning, between two reservoirs, which are surrounded by woodland and moors, I was lucky enough to see a deer on one of the walks. I would thoroughly recommend this sit to anyone considering it and would be more than happy to return in the future. Thank you for choosing me on this occasion.
Neil was very welcoming and generous host, he made sure we had all the information needed to care for his home and George and Giselle. Staying in the home was a treat with the 60's and 70's decor - it had comfortable spaces for working/reading/relaxing along with a modern kitchen/bathroom. The self contained studio downstairs where we slept was well equipped, peaceful and backed onto the private lush back yard. George and Giselle were lovely to look after, they had their favourite spots on the front verandah to watch over the neighbourhood during the day, but would wander in and curl up beside us at night time. The location of the home is fantastic, within walking distance to shops/restaurants/sports stadium/public swimming pool as well as public transport. Overall this was a fabulous 3 month housesit, and would definitely recommend to others, or come back ourselves if the opportunity arose - thank you Neil!
This was the perfect housesit that i would do again in a heartbeat. Stephanie lives in a beautiful home with fabulous decor. The garden makes you feel like you're in the countryside but you have almost everything you can think of in walking distance as soon as you walk out the door. I particularly enjoyed Local's restaurant and Taco Bandito for tasty treats during my stay. There are lots of shops and beautiful restaurants nearby. Communication was clear, Stephanie was always reachable if I had any questions and I felt very welcome for my stay. Foggy and Misty are beautiful cats and super low maintenance - they were welcoming and affectionate to me too. I work remotely and Stephanie's home provided the perfect remote office for me with beautiful artwork on the walls as a backdrop for video calls and great WiFi speed. Stephanie's garden is a treasure trove of food plants and I enjoyed admiring everything she has growing there. My room was very comfortable and I slept like a baby... it did not feel like I was in the centre of Courtenay at all. Best of both worlds with all the amenities near by with a private countryside feel to it! Highly recommend this housesit and hope that I will get to do it again sometime soon <3
Staying at Courtney’s place and looking over Penny was my first experience through TrustedHousesitter, and I could not be more thankful for the experience I had with both! Courtney herself is a gem and easy to communicate with, and her home is in a great part of Echo Park right by the lake with tons of shops and restaurants close by to explore. Penny is hands down the most chill, cuddly, and sweet pup ever. She gets excited to go on walks and then loves taking her sweet time moving slow outside while walking. When invited to do so, she will join you on the couch or the bed and just wants to be by you. I just adored Penny, and know that if you get the opportunity to look out for her, that you will too.
MJ and Roxie are awesome dogs, Well-behaved and very social. We visited the dog park every day and they really enjoyed it. Roxie has a lot of energy to burn, and MJ was a big hit with everyone and got lots of attention and pets. He would walk along and follow anyone – everyone he came upon were “his people“. Mark and Dawn were gracious hosts and their home was comfortable and convenient. Mark responded promptly to communication, and all went smoothly. I highly recommend this sit.
