What a wonderful way to be able to leave a treasured pup for 10 days‼️ Lauren and Gui were amazing in every way :-) We have an absolutely delightful, but occasionally anxious rescue Husky who was abandoned, making her very fearful of being alone. As I worked Thursday through Sunday from 10 AM until 8 PM, packing for our 10 day trip was done in stages, increasing Ember’s anxiety. Lauren and Gui came and spent the night before our 4:30 AM departure with us and we met them for the first time. They are awesome! Once the suitcases came out, Ember was following in each of my husband's and my footsteps over a three day period… Then at 4:30 AM, when the Uber arrived, she became frantic and unbeknownst to us, barked and whined from 4 AM until 10, which we have never known her to do before. I had promised Lauren and Gui that she was a perfect angel 😇, and she certainly didn't start out that way! One thing for which I'm eternally grateful is that during a fairly stressful Thanksgiving travel day, we found out nothing about their rocky start until we were safely ensconced in Denver :-) They downplayed how awful it must have been and made us feel really comfortable. With our high step goal of 20,000 per day (3-5 miles minimum!! monitored by our Fi collar), they missed not a single day--which involved some last-minute nearly midnight walks to keep their commitment to us, even though I told them that it wasn't do or die :-) They took her with them everywhere they went, including to Lauren's parent's house for Thanksgiving (with their blessing), and sent us pictures throughout their stay. What a wonderful way to feel safe leaving our most valuable companion behind! We can't begin to recommend Lauren and Gui highly enough! I'm almost reticent about giving them such rave reviews because we hope to keep them coming back over and over :-) They are simply the best!
So grateful!! Sara’s expertise in comfort dog training and her adventuresome spirit was such fun for Riley. They went exploring and met people along the way (some of whom Sara patiently worked with to help them overcome their fear of dogs). Sara clearly gave Riley lots of love and attention!! As an aside, our flowers looked great, even after an early 90 degree+ weekend. We got to spend time after the sit and it was a joy getting to know Sara more. Safe travels!!
