I took care of Bubu (the dog), the two guinea pigs and the teeny-tiny fish for one week. Cameron and the family very kindly adjusted their departure time to allow me travel time. Very much appreciated. Bubu settled very quickly. He loves to be with you. He either snuggled up beside me or lay on my lap. He LOVES his walks, and is great on the lead and very friendly to other dogs he meets out. The green areas are excellent for walking him. The piggies are really sweet, and require the cage maintenance time each day, and making sure the various foods and water are topped up and available. The neighbourhood is lovely, clean safe and really quiet, and everyone I met was very friendly. All the dogs being walked are beautifully behaved and friendly. There is a large supermarket with everything you could want directly across the road, which is very handy. The home is comfortable and cosy and the slidibg door out onto the garden is great. Cameroon always communicated excellently. Thank you Cameron, Sally and Charlie for entrusting your home and beloved pets to me.
I had a lovely time with Sharon's adorable dogs, Charlie and Lokki. They were impeccably behaved, loved their walks and kept my feet warm in the evenings. A joy to look after. Sharon's cottage is very quaint, in the countryside, with a nice country pub within walking distance and the historic city of Salisbury is a 10 mins drive. I had everything needed for a week's stay, with the use of modern appliances, however still keeping it's charm. I would love to sit for Charlie and Lokki again.
It was lovely watching Ninja and Maple 💕 Ninja is just the sweetest little cat who makes no trouble at all. He meows when he's hungry and just loves playing and cuddling. Maple needed her time to trust me but once she did so, she was a little love bug too. But I would recommend having some experience with dogs before meeting Maple, just to be able to read her behavior and don't approach her to quickly but giving her the time she needs. Alyssa made it possible having me the night before they left, so Maple could realize that her family invited me to their house. Alyssa was very welcoming from the moment I met her and explained a lot of Maple's behavior to me. Her kids were very funny 😂 The house is pretty big and I was able to find all I could have needed. I would definitely come back again for another sit!
We concluded our adventure at Roberto and Julia's home, where we had the pleasure of meeting Orfeu. Orfeu is a beautiful little dog. At first, he's a bit shy, but gradually, he'll warm up to you and be by your side throughout your visit. If you're working remotely, he'll be your ideal companion. He's quite special and always knows exactly what he wants and what he doesn't. During your walks, let him lead, and he'll take you to discover new streets, always knowing the way back home. Orfeu also enjoys having his own private space and moments to play with his toys. Without a doubt, he's an endearing little dog, and saying goodbye will be hard. As for Roberto and Julia's home, what can we say? It's a beautiful journey to the past with all the modern comforts you could ask for. You'll have everything you need and will thoroughly enjoy your time there. The front facade is stunning and transports you to the golden age of Hollywood, with the city's emblem visible right from the street. The location is perfect. In just a 35-minute walk, you'll reach the Hollywood sign, and you can go there every day with Orfeu as your ideal guide. Undoubtedly, it's a privileged location. Right in front of their house, the bus passes by for both directions, and the best part is it's FREE!!! This bus will take you to the Walk of Fame, supermarkets, restaurants, and wherever else you'd like to go. It was truly a pleasure getting to know Roberto and Julia, and, above all, spending time with Orfeu. Thank you, guys, and we hope to return someday.
Taking care of Aries was a pleasure for us, she is a great companion, smart and loving. We had all the necessary support at the house and Amelia was very kind. Thank you very much for the experience.
I had a great time at Jessica's home! Everything was so well communicated and I immediately felt at home. I even got to meet them personally and they're both lovely people :) the cats were a bit shy for the first days but then became so attached! Also they're very easy to take care of.
