Wow, Wow Wow, what a wonderful sit. Jo and James were perfect hosts and their family are really polite and friendly. We shared a meal together the night before they left early in the morning which was very enjoyable and we got to know the house and Lucy really well. Jo had left very comprehensive lists of items that may need attention and we felt really confident in taking care of Lucy and their beautiful home. Our bedroom was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. But the star of the sit was Lucy, what a wonderful natured dog, who loved her long walks and her cuddles. Almost everyone we met on our walks commented what a lovely dog she is and we felt proud to be taking care of her. We really missed her as soon as we left but kept in contact with James and Jo for a few days just to make sure all was well. We would certainly love to sit for Jo and James again and would jump at the opportunity if offered.
The house was amazing. Just what we needed. A 1 hour walk from Glastonbury town but the buses run pretty well between 8:30-6 Monday-Saturday. Unfortunately one of the dogs fell ill the day before we came and so the sister in law took care of the dogs. But we are hoping to go back in the future to see the dogs - we did meet them and they were super lovely ❤️ thanks Jane & Pete for everything 🙏🏽
Overall we really enjoyed our time with Luna. She was an extremely sweet dog that warmed up to us very quickly. We miss her a lot! Janty was also a very welcoming and friendly host. We met her and Luna before the sit to have a rundown of everything and stayed in touch during our time at her house. Finally, the location of the house is great for dog walks and any amenities you may need. Luna loved running after the ball on the common and it was a nice area to explore. It was a pleasure to look after her over the last 5 weeks :)
Had a wonderful time at Dorothy & Bob’s home. The garden is lovely and while large, fairly easy to maintain. Learned how to ride a lawnmower! Great communication with Bob throughout the sit, and would happily return. Gorgeous area for walks & exploring. Highly recommend!
Abby and Austin were great hosts. Their home is very comfortable and well located. Asher is the most beautiful dog. We loved him and will miss him a lot. I highly recommend this sit.
This housesit was wonderful – one of our favorites! Penny and Chris are kind, thoughtful, and friendly. They provided us with everything we like to have when housesitting, such as a spacious bedroom with nightstands, table lamps, hangers, and drawers! The bathroom had a double sink, a large window and great shower. Their comfortable, beautiful home was exceptionally clean and organized. Its backyard’s view is a part of the Colorado National Monument and was absolutely amazing. The front yard’s view was snow covered mountains. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing on the front porch, amidst the quiet, peaceful surroundings. Also, we loved seeing the birds eating at the feeder and splashing in the bird bath. We could not have enjoyed our time here more. The pets were wonderful, as well. Cooper, the dog, was exactly what we’d want in a dog. He was sweet, laid-back, not demanding and loved to go outside with us. We took him on walks, and he’s very well trained on and off leash. Cooper was the perfect dog for us! Alice, the cat, loves to be petted and go outside. She is beautiful, and also very sweet. We were happy that she was friendly and enjoyed being with us in the evening. This was our first housesit where we cared for 2 goats, Sylvester and Danielle. We enjoyed feeding them, talking to them, and petting them. They were beautiful, adorable, and wonderful. They ate well and have a huge yard to frolic in. This housesit was just not long enough (only 5 days). We’re very hopeful that we can return there one day. Do not hesitate to apply. First time we have used this kennels for a stay which was over Christmas 2021 and it was excellent. Almost a shame that the current owners are closing but after 18 years they have earned some down time. Terrible service. Do not take your animals here. I've always been sceptical of them but this has confirmed it. We took my dog here one year and when he came out he was in a terrible state, really poorly and seemed shaken up. My family have always respected their service however and this year I booked my cats in. Sadly now I can't go home because a family member has tested positive for covid. So I called and the woman who answered the phone was curt and unfriendly. I am glad I have cancelled because I would not want my animals with them if this is how they treat others. Who knows what they do there. It is a difficult time for all, but there is no need for it, these situations are out of our hands.
Our dogs Millie and Milo were well looked after. and Milo our male dog came home liking other dogs which was a wow factor because he would have gone to attack any other dog. He is ten years old and the vets said we will never get it out of him..

This is the only kennels I use in the area. Fabulous place and my dog is happy to stay there too. You'll be hard pushed to find anywhere better.

Looked after my two cats for a week in their own accommodation with a self contained outdoor run. The cats were apparently happy when I collected them and have shown no sign of stress since.
Don't go there - (I will have to add response here as unable to to type response to owner comment below, anywhere else, Firstly I would like to point out this is my view of your service. Secondly we did use your service for our Dog Dylan, I had refrained from detailing what was wrong with the service received but very happy to describe how distressed Dylan was when he left. Why would we correspond with you when my wife felt belittled when she picked him up, and all she wanted to do was to forget the whole experience. Finally my profile is in no way an alias so i would be grateful if you would remove the part of your comment about being a coward.)
My dog is always happy to arrive and enjoys his stay. Norstead does not look much from a humans view, but the dog loves it and that's what counts.
We have left our two dogs (Millie and Milo) there twice now and they have come back very happy but sad to have to go home they loved it there and they will be going back on all of our holidays when my wife and my self go away next thank you to the staff and the owner for looking after our dogs in June and August 2019 ..
Tracy and her husband took care of my cat for 5 days, and he absolutely loved them! He normally doesn’t like strangers, but he seemed to warm up to Tracy from the first day, and he was very happy to see her every day! It definitely allowed me to relax knowing he was being taken care with such great care!
Tracy looked after my cat and rabbits while we were away for 10 days. It was not ideal timing because we had builders there while we were away and my cat is very wary of strangers at the best of times. Although Tracy didn’t see my cat every day she reassured me that he had been coming in for food every night. She also did a brilliant temporary repair job for me when one of my rabbit homes developed a hole in the bottom of it. She kept in regular contact and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
We have two female cats with very different personalities and like any pet owner, we are anxious that they are fed, watered and cared for while we are away. This was the first time that we have used Maccy G Pets service and we can report that we are very happy with the service. Tracy visited us to meet our cats before we travelled which was a nice touch. Tracy kept us updated with daily videos of her interactions with the cats and when we returned all was well with them and our home. Thank you for the care. We would happily recommend their service.
We could not be happier with the service provided at such short notice. Our two elderly cats absolutely love Tracy. Sadie, our eldest at 18 with failing kidneys is a hard nut to crack and very hard to please but the daily photos showed us that she was very happy in Tracy's company, along with Jinx, who has suffered with separation anxiety previously. She took the time to come and visit and introduce herself to the cats prior to starting to care for them. We have booked again as they have been so well looked after.
Having Tracy to look after our Maine Coon kittens for a week meant that we could go on holiday without worrying about them. We had daily video updates to show all the strokes and attention they were getting! And they were bright eyed and bushy tailed happy kitties when we got home :) We would recommend Maccy G Pets without hesitation!
It was the first time we used Maccy G and they were fantastic We went away for a week and Diane was absolutely wonderful. Our cat Archie is very shy but Diane was so patient and managed to help him overcome his shyness and I could see from the photos she sent that he looked so happy and content. It took away all our worries about leaving him. They are wonderful and we will always ask them to look after Archie when we go away. We really would recommend them. 😀
Tracy is a very experienced and trustworthy person who has a real gift/talent in looking after pets. Everything from pre-visit to regular updates whilst on holiday was brilliant. The pets were extremely well cared for and we didn’t have to worry at all whilst away. We would highly recommend this pet sitting service.
We booked Tracey to come twice a day for 5 days, to feed our 2 cats, while we were away. She came to visit before hand and meet them, the paperwork was quick and easy to complete and as she'd already looked after other family member's pets, we didn't have any concerns about the care she'd provide. She wanted to keep their routines as similar to normal as possible and was happy to spend time with them on her visits, brush them, play with them etc. Turns out, as our cats are total wimps, they didn't want to spend much time getting to know her, but Tracey made sure we knew they were safe by contacting us with photos or video of them when she popped in. Although this is her business and it would potentially reduce her profit, Tracey offered to cut back from two to one visit per day, due the cats having access to inside and outside space and eating dried food. We did take her up on this and saved ourselves a few pounds - thanks Tracey. Our cats, Percy and Archie, would not have coped well in a cattery, so this was a great option. Although they were probably a little miffed with us going away, they were both fed and watered and happy to see us in our return. Photo of Archie who was pretty illusive while we were away.
Had a fabulous experience with Tracy looking after my two turtles. You can tell she cares greatly about keeping animals safe, happy and healthy and wants to learn about their personalities. I felt super comfortable leaving my turtles in her care, she sent me daily updates with photos which really put my mind at ease while I was away! 💚 Cheap and friendly service that I will be using again!
