It was an outstanding experience housesitting for Katie. Excellent communication and positive vibes from the start. Katie set me up for success with communication beforehand and had a clear and helpful instruction booklet. And Purrvis the cat... he was just awesome... He came out of his shell quickly, and was a very sweet and loving cat. A perfect roommate to relax with. The timed feeder makes this assignment very easy. Katie encouraged me to ask any questions I had during the sit, and responded back in a timely manner. She is a very pleasant, positive, and considerate person. The apartment was very clean, cozy, and pleasantly decorated with eclectic decor and an interesting book collection. The apartment is located in the safe and hip area of Lakeview. Plenty of restaurants, food markets, and shops nearby, as well as nice neighborhood walks where I was able to enjoy the Chicago style architecture. The Red Line metro train is a 5-minute walk, enabling me to get out easily and see what has been voted the best city in the USA.... CHICAGO I would definitely enjoy petsitting Purrvis again. On a scale of 1 to 5, this was a 10-star assignment. Thank you, Katie, for selecting me!!
We thoroughly enjoyed a long sit with Angus and Hamish. They are two young siblings who are making their way out of the kitten stage, through the teenage antics period, and into adulthood. This means that they frequently play-wrestle and have an insatiable appetite. But they also have an incredibly cute purr, love cuddling up against your leg, and are entertained chasing bottle caps endlessly. They are easy to care for and fun to play with. They live in a comfortable apartment that comes complete with Dutch stairs, in a family oriented area that is incredibly convenient to just about everything. And their mom, Helen, is incredibly friendly and supportive. We wholeheartedly recommend her sits, and hope we can return in the future.
We pet sat for Sarah and Steve taking care of their amazing two Salukis, Belle and Mouse for a couple of weeks. Belle and Mouse have such a gentle temperament. They are happy to be near you when they feel like it but are also comfortable with their own company. We took them on a few different walks through the beautiful woodlands around the property. They are very good on the lead which makes for a relaxing walk. We met a few of their neighbors during those walks. Everyone knows Belle and Mouse. Steve and Sarah are a delightful couple. They greeted us warmly on arrival, took time to show us around the house and the local area. They had everything stated in their guide and made sure we have all that we needed for a comfortable stay. They are also great communicators. And their house. Wow. This is a most beautiful home that has been newly renovated to a very high standard. The kitchen is huge and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The snug is nice and inviting. The guest bedroom is very large with a comfortable bed and an amazing ensuite with a full size bath and a separate rainshower. The home is surrounded by a lovely garden and is within a short drive to the picturesque town of Lewes We would be very happy to return should the opportunity arise and can highly recommend this sit.
Emma is a precious dog, I thoroughly enjoyed caring for her. Jessica and Jake were easy to communicate and plan logistics with. The beautiful yard, garden and quiet neighborhood provided a lovely place to work and hang with the dog! I’d watch Emma again in a heartbeat. Thanks guys!
Where to start? Mackie and Miffy (and the chickens) were an absolute joy to look after. Mackie will nudge your hand for some strokes, bring a boot (or any kind of footwear) to you, - and loves walking between the two of you. We loved watching Miffy jump about in the countryside and come up for cuddles. They're both excellent with other dogs, and definitely obedient - a simple shout of their name brings them back if they're out on a field. We took them everywhere with us. We didn't realise till we left the property that we hadn't said bye to them before in the house. Olivia and Petra were always there to communicate with during the stay. The house itself was far beyond expectations. We slept well, wakening to bird song, and spotted lambs on the nearby field. Twas bliss.
