Jen was an absolute delight to deal with, and I would recommend her to anyone! She had great communication and was very organised and reliable. She really adored our kitty Neve, gave her the space she needed to get familiar and seems to have given her a spa treatment as we came back to a particularly soft furball❤ she also agreed to extend her stay another night when we found ourselves in a bit of a tricky spot. Thank you, Jen!
I thoroughly enjoyed taking care of Penny in her rural environment, she is delightful, great company and so well behaved. Jann’s Frittata delicious.
I loved this housesit. Anna and Rupert were so welcoming and keen that I should enjoy my stay. Anna and I spoke beforehand and she had completed a thorough welcome pack too. Their puppy Rolo is absolutely beautiful: playful and needing lots of attention but also being well-trained by Anna and Rupert. We enjoyed some lovely walks in the village with Rolo coping well being off-lead, away from the roads. She also travels well in a car and lies quietly under the table when stopping for coffee. I had a great few days and would happily return to look after Rolo for Anna and Rupert.
Julie is a kind and welcoming host. She has large home in a beautiful area well situated for trips nearby. She is a true animal lover with her snarky parrot Corky, kitchen chicken Betsy, lovely Max, chickens, and random wild birds who fly into the kitchen. 😆 She was always available for questions and has lovely family members close by. This sit is great for kind, adventurous, relaxed people who appreciate animals. If you are a clean freak, this isn’t a sit for you (Betsy, the kitchen chicken is accustom to being in the kitchen leaving little poo presents and bits of feathers. 😆) Max loves his walks and being outside. He is very gentle and patient with children. He is reactive to other dogs and Julie made it very clear to always avoid other dogs when out walking. Julie has spot on recommendations for shopping, site seeing and dining. Thanks Julie! We hope to see you and your lovely pets again someday.
Kimchee is such a good boy. Looking after him was a real delight. I didn’t have any experience with Akitas, but I’ve become a big fan of them and I would love to have one in the future. Communication with Pri was really good and I felt very comfortable at her place. Would love to sit for Kimchee again!
Sandy is nice and friendly. The communication with her was great. Minnie is so cute, very friendly and quiet. She is easy going. Ray the Dalmation is half blind so requires a good amount of attention when walking her. She is old but active. She really snores like a drunk man at night. Bring ear plugs :-) Sandy’s apartment is located in a doorman building at a very good location. I have known the area well since I went to NYU there, but still can’t get enough of it. Her studio apartment is a good size for one person. Separate small kitchen with everything you need. Very cozy. It even has a small patio/back yard which is very rare for Manhattan apartments. As for cleanliness, I gave 4 stars because when i arrived, her brother and sister-in-law was there. They stayed 3 days after Sandy left for her vacation. They didn’t clean the refrigerator. It was full of left-over food plus 2inches of water in the vegetable drawer. I had to clean all that so I can put my groceries in. Also, they didn’t take out the garbage neither in the kitchen nor the bathroom which were full already. So this was not Sandy’s fault but still it was not nice walking into that. Having said that, I would still highly recommend her apartment and her pets.
I spent a great moment with Santos et Satchmo. There are so nice and calm. It was a pleasure to take care of them and i will be very happy to keep an eye on them if needed! The apartment is very quiet and functional with a beautiful terrace. Thank you again Alysha and Alex!
