This person was very irresponsible, had other people taking care of my dog, changed his food, he was tangled in his harness and leash which was choking him when I found him. She was not ready to leave the apartment and spent hours slowly packing her things (along with some other random guy who was also there) after I had to wake her up. My neighbors told me she threw food off my balcony and worse. Her name is not Annie. Stay away at all costs.

Sommer was absolutely amazing. She was so communicative, clean, and took great care of Grayson and Oliver. Unfortunately, our coffee maker reached its natural end of life while she was staying, and just in case, she replaced it with an identical one from Amazon. Over the top, and wish we could reimburse her!! Would love to have Sommer stay again any time.

We recently completed a three and a half week pet sitting assignment in Oakland, caring for three dogs: Charlie, Molly, and Maisy, all of which were affectionate and well-behaved in the home. Maisy, who was on medication recovering from a respiratory illness, showed significant improvement during our stay. Her unique personality made her particularly endearing.

Charlie and Molly required more attention, with Charlie being notably challenging on walks, necessitating a muzzle (which was a recent development) due to his tendency to bark and lunge at people, which the host stated may be due to a Thyroid imbalance. While we were made aware of this beforehand, it proved to be more demanding than anticipated.

Additionally, the dogs barked more frequently than expected, often at random times, which was very startling.

The property itself had both strengths and areas for improvement. The house was clean upon our arrival, and the listing was mostly accurate, although the space was a bit smaller than it appeared in photos. There was little room for storage of our belongings making it feel a bit cramped, and no dedicated workspace for our computer setup, requiring some improvisation.

We are both temperature sensitive and found it difficult to stay cool, particularly during warmer days, affecting our sleep and comfort. The refrigerator and freezer were quite packed, leaving limited room for our groceries, which was inconvenient as we cook often and require a specific diet.

On a positive note, the kitchen appliances, including the stove and oven, functioned exceptionally well, which we appreciated for our cooking needs. The water pressure in the shower was also excellent. However, the outdoor space was somewhat overgrown, limiting our enjoyment of the area.

Sarah was communicative, welcoming, and considerate, providing a generous welcome gift upon our arrival and checking in to ensure our stay was going well. We recognize that many of the issues we encountered were related to personal needs and preferences, but overall, we appreciated the opportunity to care for the dogs and stay in the home.

Nga
Nga and Akshay were so warm and welcoming. They opened their home to me with no hesitation. It made me feel right at home and that I had their trust. Dusky and Eva were a blast to spend the week with. Eva is so loving and gentle and Dusky just followed me from room to room. I would most definitely sit for Nga and Akshay again without giving it a second thought.

Kai & Charlie are truly so warm and welcoming! Dallas, Coco & Ringo are the sweetest pets! They are very easy to care for.
Dallas is the cutest dog who will give you lots of cuddles and love. Coco & Ringo are gorgeous, independent cats who are usually outside.
Kai & Charlie made me feel right at home. Their home is beautiful and super clean. They had a printed out guide on how to care for the animals and notes on the house which made it so easy. It included great tips for things to do in the area. Extremely walkable location. Great communication. My experience was spectacular. I would love to return to pet/house sit in the future!
Thank you so much for having me! It was an amazing experience!
