We absolutely loved our stay at France’s lovely home in Kentfield. The location is incredible, with adorable towns and tons of wonderful hikes very nearby. It’s also an easy trip into San Francisco from the area. France has a beautiful yard with redwood trees towering over the house. The views from the living room are stunning, and we enjoyed lots of natural light, as we were there during spring when the days were getting longer. The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We felt like we were at a wellness retreat! France was already traveling when we arrived, so we took over the sit from another sitter. She orchestrated the handover seamlessly, and we had a lovely time with the previous sitter. In addition, France was an extremely responsive communicator, and we had multiple video calls to ensure everything was going well and we had all we needed. Even though we haven’t met in person (we plan to do that soon when we are close by again!), we feel like we got to know France well, and have met a kindred spirit and a new friend. The best part of our stay was getting to take care of BOE! He is a very sweet soul and quite a character. While he doesn’t really like to be pet, he is extremely loving and likes to be close by. He will cuddle up to you on the couch once he warms up. He’s also super fun! BOE loves to play fetch non-stop, as much as you will play with him. He’s a master hiker and it’s obvious his happy place is on the trails. We loved our daily hikes with BOE, and our playtime in the backyard. His care is very low maintenance and pretty easy all around. Thank you, France, for trusting us with your home and with your sweet BOE! We would 100% recommend this sit to anyone considering it, and would sit for BOE and France again in a heartbeat!
Kiss and Cindy were very cute and loved lots of cuddles, as did Smudge the cat. A lovely area with lots to explore, St Emilion was amazing!
We received a warm welcome, written details carefully spelling out for the care of the home and their loved children (pets) Our stay was comfortable as their home was very interesting and the pets were lovable and friendly. The HOs offered their home to us to use as if we were family and we had access to anything we needed. As the pets warmed up to us it was evident they enjoyed being with us and were interested in our daily routines and tried to help us in their own way. Entertaining to watch. LOL. There was nothing to change to improve the stay except perhaps another week with Baer and Niki...access to a bus line was just a 10-minute walk to a very busy commercial shopping area that contained every store you might need. We recommend this sit for its loveable pets, considerate owners, well kept home and neighborhood.
Paul and Lynne were amazing hosts. They are a very gracious and communicative couple to work with. The girls Nellie and Storm are very sweet and easy to look after. Nellie loves her walks/gallivants in the pastures in the morning and Storm will want all of your affection! Cash and Fudge were easy as well and live for food so they will be very happy to see you for their morning and evening feedings. I had a wonderful time and loved every second of it. If you are looking for a quaint village and farm home to stay at for holiday, Paul and Lynne’s home is perfect for you!
We had the BEST Christmas staying at Nick and Hilary’s magical home. We fell totally in love with the dogs, the environment, and the way of life. All of my interactions with Nick were very easy-going and attentive, we would love to stay here again one day given the opportunity!
