Overall, Cheryl was great. I only gave four stars for pet care but let me explain. I went away for 3 weeks. There was a heat wave the entire time I was away, and I was so afraid my newly planted back yard would wilt to death. Therfore, I leaned on Cheryl heavily to water my back yard plants and shrubs, which is a time-consuming job. She sent videos of my back yard along the way to show me how things were looking. As well as the outside, she also watered my indoor plants regularly. I returned home to see all my new shrubs and plants thriving despite the high 90 degree temps. I also returned to a wonderfully clean house and a satisfied kitty. The main issue around the pet care was that Cheryl believed my kitty should be fed more than I have been feeding him for the past 11 years (based on vet's recommendation) . Despite our email communication regarding her concerns he was not fed enough, and me clearly stating to keep to the feeding directions I'd left, Cheryl disregarded this and fed him more anyway. Although I'd left more than enough cat food to cover the time I was away, the last week she ran out of cat food and needed to buy more. I felt Cheryl was not tuned in to my cat's behavior. While she interpreted my cat was hungry whenever he meowed, much of the time he simply wants/needs/responds well to some gentle talking to with affectionate touching (massages, hair brushing, rubbing his belly), or just a few minutes of interactive play. Yet if food is offered, he will never turn it down. During Cheryl's housesit, I emphasized the yard watering. Because I felt like this was a big inconvenience and burden to place on anyone, I didn't want to emphasize that my sweet cat also required alot of attention. I knew my kitty could make it through 3 weeks on less than his usual amount of loving, but my yard would not survive a heat wave without watering! Because of my choice, I take some responsibility for the perceived lack of attention in the pet department.

Brynn did an excellent job taking care of the farm. When she arrived, all of my critters felt comfortable and safe around her. She is very easy to be around. I enjoyed talking with her. I would highly recommend her for a sit. I hope she will come back and sit for us again.

Thalia, Vinny and Chopp were wonderfully friendly and kind. It was like meeting old friends. My pets were taken care of so well that they looked for them the next day. That’s always a good sign and the house was spotless when I got home. I’d gladly have this happy little family back any time.

Cat did a great job taking care of our pets and home. She is very responsible, mature, and attentive, and she communicated well before, during and after the sit. The cats were well cared for, the house was clean and tidy with everything left in great shape, and the garden was well-tended - not an easy task this time of year! We were glad to have Cat stay here and she is welcome back any time.

Sherry and Dennis are absolute gems, best house sitters ever, and I've had excellent sitters. They were super communicative before and during the sit, the house was cleaner than I left it, and the pets warmed to their calm and loving presence immediately and were well cared for. Then, above and beyond, not required and shouldn't be expected, but... wow - they washed the sheets and towels, picked up dog poop in the yard, cleaned my car inside and out, replaced a broken headlight (that my mechanic forgot to fix the day before they arrived), and wanted to replace a soap dispenser when it was accidentally broken. I would have them back in a heartbeat, and if you are lucky enough to attract them to a sit, you've won the lottery of house sitters!

Jenni was fantastic! We stayed in touch prior to the visit about travel plans, etc, and she was able to come in a day early and come over to meet the pups and show her around. She clearly loves animals, and was very open to helping with any and everything while we were gone (watering indoor and outdoor plants etc). Our littlest pup struggles with thunderstorms and fireworks, and since it was right after the 4th of July, we knew that might be an issue. She was understanding and handled it all like a champ so we didn’t have to worry! She’s responsible, kind, tidy (she even did all her laundry before leaving, which was not necessary but much appreciated!). Top notch sitter and we’d love to have her back!

Reya and Elijah were excellent sitters. They gave our girls lots of love and attention, and even spent time giving our elderly pup some reiki on her arthritic hips. They responded promptly and left the house perfectly tidy. They were always quick to respond and gave lots of updates on how the pets were doing!

Jenika is an absloute gem! Her communication was outstanding throughout our vacation. She sent plenty of photos and videos of our pets, Yoshi and Bub, keeping us connected and worry-free. Upon our return, we found the house spotless and were delighted by a surprise flower arrangement. Jenika's attention to detail, care for our pets, and thoughtfulness were truly impressive. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and wholeheartedly recommend her services. Jenika is reliable, caring, and goes above and beyond - the perfect choice for anyone needing a trustworthy house sitter.

Emily was truly lovely lady to have look after our adored labrador & our home, I would have no hesitation in recommending her for the future.

My flight got cancelled and I couldn't get another one out for a few days so unfortunately I had to cancel Laura's sit, but I'm giving her 5 stars for a few reasons: -I met Laura over video chat and I felt very confident in her ability to care for a senior dog based on the details she made sure to cover. She asked how he likes to take his meds, his comfortability walking in the heat, stress levels, etc. It was clear that she has a lot of experience with older pups. -She was communicative and graciously flexible. On the day the sit was supposed to start, my flight was pushed back more than 6 times. We kept in close contact throughout and she was very understanding about the constantly changing plans and when I had to cancel. Great communicator, knows dogs, considerate, flexible, kind... I would love to have Laura sit in the future.

Denisse was amazing! Great communicator and she took wonderful care of my home and pets.

Ana was such a kind and responsible sitter for our cat. She sent daily updates which I really appreciated, and left the place very neat and tidy afterwards. We would be happy to have her sit again.
