Richard was able to begin the evening before scheduled so that I could leave earlier than planned. The cats seemed content when I came home; their litter box was clean, as was my home. I would have liked an update on how the cats were doing; though, when I texted to ask about Miss Maple's eye (She was having a flare of a low grade viral infection near her eye), he responded quickly. He does need to work on organization: he left two shirts behind, dropped a condiment packet on the floor (The cats didn't get it open, despite their best efforts!), and left with the living room windows open when it was raining and the heat was on.

We had an excellent experience with Denise and her two cats, Odì and Mané... it's sincere, we enjoyed everything. The apartment and its location, its cleanliness, Denise's personality and her communicability, her accessibility, her kindness. Our cohabitation with the cats was joyful and very pleasant, with its nice surprises ; they were shy at the beginning, it took us a few days to tame each other. Odì and Mané gradually gained confidence in us, and we were able to spend quality time with them ; they are affectionate, gentle, sociable, and love to be brushed and cuddled. Odì really enjoys playing, and Mané liked to sleep on our laps. Both love their naps, and have always been gentle with us. In short, we had a dream stay at Denise's, and we couldn't have hoped for better.

Thank you for everything, and we hope, see you next time :-) !

Stephanie
Stephanie's communication was warm, effective, and efficient. She described Rooney and his needs well, gave a great overview of the building, and offered other local tips that were much appreciated.

Rooney is a complete sweetheart. He is really eager to please, responds to "crate time" like it's magic (my son was completely mystified by this), and kept us up late at night because it was so relaxing to snuggle with him on the chaise that we didn't want to go to bed. Stephanie communicated very well about the need to keep an eye on our food and kitchen surfaces. We did not lose any food to Rooney, and even with his interest there was never any aggression, just a great big heart.

We really appreciated the grocery store open from 6am-midnight on the first floor of the building, getting hot chocolate from the coffee machine on floor M, and the proximity to the metro stop for visiting Smithsonian Museums.

Little notes for future sitters: Apparently key fobs are very popular in DC. There is a bit of a learning curve in that the building entry and elevator use the "back" of the fob, while the apartment door uses the metal nub "front". Also, I found it very manageable and actually helpful for communicating his needs, but Rooney does pull a bit on walks and that could be a challenge if someone has hip or knee issues.

Thank you Stephanie and Rooney for welcoming us into your home!

Stacie
We had a great time at Stacie and Tom's place with Stanley! The house is super cute in a historic area of Houston and the neighborhood is just incredible - lots of fantastic places to eat and explore. The house itself is comfortable and well-furnished with everything you need. Stacie and Tom were very communicative and left a detailed guide with everything we needed to know.

Now Staley is the star of the show here. He is still enough of a puppy to be super fun but mature enough to be mellow when we were relaxing. He's so sweet and just wants to hang out wherever you are. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening swims with him and the neighborhood walks. Stanley definitely made our trip memorable!

Erica
Onyx and MooMoo were absolute loves to take care of. MooMoo was very shy at first; it took her a few days to warm up to my 1 year old but once she did, the three of them were happily playing together. Erica was an excellent communicator and left us detailed instructions. She made our stay comfortable and inviting!
