She has a wonderful home, sweet pup and helpful neighbors. Thanks for having me.
We had an amazing time looking after Cooper and Wilbur. They are both easy and loving. Although we looked after them for 5 days only, saying goodbye to them was really difficult. Cooper is a strong, but very gentle and sweet young dog. He loves to play with other dogs in the dog park. He gets along with all other dogs. Wilbur is a beautiful affectionate cat. He loves his privacy, but also liked to play with us and asked for a cuddle now and then. Besides playing in the dog park, Cooper likes longer walks too. The circular walk in Seward Park is highly recommended. Cooper is very relaxed with other people. At home, Cooper loves to relax in the garden (weather permitting) or play with one of his toys. Wilbur loves to chill and snuggle up on the couch with you. Lovina is a very kind, hospitable, positive, generous and appreciative host. She gave us her trust from the minute we met. Communication with Lovina was very easy. During the housesit we had regular contact. We sent lots of photos of Cooper and Wilbur. Beforehand, she made sure we knew everything about Cooper, Wilbur and their wonderful property. Although we met only briefly before and after the housesit, it felt like we knew each other already for a long time. And then last but not least the house itself. What an amazing place to look after. The house is clean and well organized. Watering the plants was easy. The house has all the luxuries. We felt privileged, we could stay in this stunning place. It’s also located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. A bus stop (bus 14) is nearby. Lake Washington is in walking distance. Shops are a bit further away. We highly recommend this housesit. If Lovina needs a housesitter? Don’t hesitate and apply. You won’t regret it!
From the moment I connected with Chris & Gill about taking care of Hugo, Henry, & Bex, I knew it was going to be a lovely sit. Their home and animals were really such a pleasure to take care of. Although Hugo is quite strong on his lead, I did actually manage to walk them both together most days. It was great to take them out to the fields so Hugo could have a run around and play catch with his ball. Hugo is such a loving spaniel, and really loves a cuddle. Henry is such a sweet little character and was just so excited to be out walking, and wanted to chase everything, a tiny feather in the street, a leaf blowing in the road. Keep a watch on his excitement for chasing things, and you will do fine. The two of them together are quite the pair and would play together in the garden whilst I was reading. Bex is a lovely cat, but spends a lot of her time out as the dogs try to chase her, but she will let you know when it’s meal time, as she is always right there for her food. It was a lovely little village to be in, and they had many homes which sold vegetables from a table outside their door. There was also a home on the way in to the village that sold flowers outside her garden. They have a local shop, but if you like having a lot of fresh food, the co-op is in the next village of Haxey. Their home is beautiful and easy to take care of, and Gill’s mum would visit to fetch the animals some salmon. She was so lovely & welcoming, and I ended up also making a new friend in her. Their son was also lovely and came for a walk with me and the dogs to show me the local walking routes. He also allowed me a go on his PlayStation. What lovely people and animals, and I really hope I get to visit and take care of them again. Thank you so much for having me. 🙏🏻💜
Received a lovely welcome from Petra and Tom. Petra kindly picked me up from the station and happily did a click and collect from the supermarket for me... Much appreciated. Some very nice chocolates and dessert treats were left for me. (Yum ) The handover was very thorough, showing me all through the house and detailing Whero’s feeding habits. Written information also available as back up. The house was comfortable, the location quiet, a walkable distance from York centre, but also close to public transport and supermarkets. Whero is a gorgeous cat. He is quite a nervous cat; patience and a gentle approach is key to gain his confidence. He is quite chatty at times once he gets used to you and likes a good chin scratch. It’s quite amusing to watch him patrol his territory throughout the back garden. I enjoyed my time with Whero and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this sit. Thank you Petra & Tom for having me as your sitter.
Maria and Marshall's house is beautifu! We met up before my sit for a meet and greet so both Boss and Ladybird warmed up to me as their parents had introduced us, so that was very lovely and helped us all get along well.
Kim’s place is a beautiful oasis in the heart of downtown. Two very different puppies - one tiny princess & one big handsome very energetic boy who everyone on the street loves.
