We would like to say thank you to Pam & Cilla for looking after Pickle and the house while we were away. Pickle was well looked after. She was spoilt and treated like a princess. Her litter tray was kept clean. The house was clean and tidy upon our return with fresh flowers. The indoor plants were watered and looked after, also the grass was cut. We would highly recommend Pam and Cilla as sitters and would always welcome them back to look after Pickle and our home again.
Benny was a lovely pup! He was always energetic for his walks but so affectionate and cuddly at home. We will miss him! Rachel communicated clearly and kindly. Her home was clean and in a great spot to walk to amenities. Thanks again!
It was only three days, but I will never forget them. Mr. Noble is an affectionate dog that manages well outside and inside his house despite his visual limitation. And King Kaiser, a very active cat day and night, always looking for you to pet him. And even though they don't play together, both of them are there to wake you up and go with you in bed until you get up. Thank you, Carol, for allowing me to meet them!
Paul & Tony have the loveliest pair of Italian Greyhounds - it was such a privilege to be able to take care of Enzo & Rocco for the month that they were away. Their home was also super conveniently located, with the shopping village directly downstairs. The communication was also perfect: they are very responsive and their welcome guide had all the info you could possibly need! I'd highly recommend this sit :)
My first experience sitting and I couldnt ask for better home owners. Lisa and Mike are very kind and gracious hosts and Toby (the cat ) is an easy, sweet, leave-me-alone kind of cat. Toby gets busy in the mornings and evenings and sleeps all day - he was super easy. Lisa is great at communicating and she left me a very detailed guide about taking care of Toby and the home appliances. The kitchen is well equipped if you feel like cooking. In Their home is beautiful and very comfortable and right in the middle of wine country. You can literally walk to a winery! And it’s about a 15 minute drive to downtown Santa Rosa. When I arrived 2 hours late due to traffic, Lisa still gave me a very warm welcome. I feel very fortunate to have been chosen to stay with their precious Toby. I hope I will be able to sit for Lisa and Mike again. Their home was a true blessing to us and caring for Toby was entertaining, he’ll play in their beautiful backyard while I had my coffee. And he’s gorgeous.
Superb but a 'far too short' housesit. Wonderful location...in fact stunning location on the banks of the Test with beautiful English countryside all around. Whilst a car is recommended, there is a good bus service about 100m from the gate taking you in both directions through/to many small and bigger towns with train stations connecting London not far away. Very good communication with Davis pre-sit and he supplied a comprehensive dossier of information covering all aspects of the house and Monty of course which gave us a lot of confidence. We stayed a night with David and Julie before their departure which we think is how all house sits should operate giving the homeowner and sitter(s) the opportunity to meet, nail down any small matters to pave the way for a successful sit as well as striking up what can turn into a lovely friendship. Monty was very much 'no fuss' so that side of things was quite straight forward and we highly recommend David, Julie and Monty if the opportunity arrises!!
Kim & Mike were very kind & welcoming and showed us around the house before they left. Communications were excellent before and during the sit. The location near the beach is very nice, even though we had rain most of the time we were there, we still very much enjoyed it. Milly & Molly are super sweet dogs. They really enjoy human contact and cuddles a lot. They are super easy to walk and generally care for. The only reason we give 4 stars for this sit is because the dogs have anxiety issues and do not want to be left alone. This means they follow you everywhere and cannot relax if they cannot see you. This made the house sit quite intense at times as we couldn't really leave the girls alone. This is not really a problem if you are aware beforehand. Once you are in the room, they will relax and sleep on the sofa. For us it wasn't really a good fit, but that depends entirely on the kind of person you are and what you enjoy. We do miss the girls as they are so loving and sweet!
