Taking care of Lillo was an absolute pleasure. She’s not only adorable but also incredibly well-behaved and full of personality. Her playful nature, especially when she's got a pine or a stick, and her explorer personality made every moment we spent with her delightful. She even knows the best coffee spots around the block! And we must talk about Lillo's parents. David and Anne are exceptionally nice, chill, and clearly prioritize Lillo's well-being and happiness (she has a drawer full of treats and different flavors of kibbles 😍). We were warmly welcomed by them, and David provided us with a simply perfect welcome guide. The house is also incredible, very well located and with a breathtaking view! Overall, it was a wonderful experience looking after Lillo, and we would love to do so again in the future. Thanks a lot for trusting us with Lillo; we know how precious she is to the family :)
Nancy and Rick were lovely hosts and it was so fun to hang out with Remy. They were communicative and very welcoming. Remy is a real sweetie and very low maintenance. He’s quite the cuddlebug, which I love! Their location is great and close to downtown Austin. Would love to stay the next time I’m in Austin.
Just back from a wonderful stay in the company of three doggie delights! The house was very quiet and peaceful but with a couple of nice pubs within walking distance. Rosie and Digger were very loving and also very entertaining. Flossie cast an aged eye over the younger dogs' shenanigans. We loved it!
I had the best time at Laura’s looking after the lovely Bradley. The house is in a great location and really easy to get around London. The decor of the house is something out of a magazine, with a real unique and stylish feel to it, as well as still being comfortable and homely. Laura was friendly, welcoming and easy to communicate with, providing all necessary info upfront & checking in when needed. I will definitely miss my garden hangs, cuddles and ‘chats’ with the lovely Bradley. Thank you so so much for having me and trusting me with the best boy!
Hatty is the best cat! She is a happy, contented cat. She will sit on your lap on occasion or curl up nearby, loves a bit of string to chase or a cardboard box to sit in or attack! She can bring in the odd mouse but is pretty efficient at eating them up🙂 We met Rachel in advance of the sit and we met Ian for a short time on the day they left. Both were very friendly, welcoming and were great at staying in touch, despite being in South America! Their 100 year old long barn is full of character, (keep an eye out for the occasional low beams!), warm and comfortable. It's situated in a lovely village with great history with links back to the Tudors. Also, a well stocked small supermarket & friendly village post office with delicious bread & cakes. There's also a cafe next to the playground which we didn't visit but has a good reputation. There is a railway station very nearby which has good connections to other local towns & London. We managed a day trip to London whilst we were sitting. Malborough is your closest town, which is very pleasant with all the necessary shops plus some well stocked charity shops. Local supermarkets will deliver to the house. As it turned out, we did our sit during the wettest February on record so we had to fight off potential floods! Ian had explained the well-prepared flood plan which we put into action. This did involve lifting heavy water pumps into the drains so, if you do this sit in a rainy season, it needs someone who is both practical and reasonably strong. The local neighbours were very supportive and on hand if things had got seriously deep but, fortunately, the flood plan kept things at bay! All in all, with Hatty the cat and a great location, this is a great sit.
I loved my housesit for Clare and Dobee’s three adorable little dogs. The pups are snuggly and mellow, and the house is beautiful and comfortable. Clare and Dobee communicated clearly before, during, and after the sit. Their house is within walking distance of lots of shops and cafes, and it was fun to explore this part of Berkeley! I highly recommend this sit!
