Caroline and Phil did a weekend sit for us and amazingly took on our sons dog as well which we were looking after. They obviously love dogs and the feeling was mutual. On our return the house had been cleaned and all my precious plants watered. Phil had even mended the trellis which fell down while we were away! I would thoroughly recommend them.
This was a long sit, and Marie was very flexible with a week of extended stay, while we were in and out on additional short trips. We had one miscommunication and one misunderstanding about one night where we didn’t properly coordinate the morning backup of the puppies. She was very pleasant and actually became very good friends with one of our future pilot friends. We did our best to remotely answer any of her questions about the operation of the pool and use of the car. We were not able to let her use our boat due to technical issues, as well as heating the pool. She made due with the local YWCA and gym. She did give Pele good daily walks, Winston wouldn’t go. We all did our best during cohabitation periods and she was minimal impact during those times. It’s very important to have clear understanding of needs and technical operation of any facilities. She did ask direct questions with photo backups. Definitely trustworthy with caring for the puppies. We will welcome her back in the future
Deidre and Jason were wonderful sitters! They took care of all the pets and the house. When I was back home I found everything clean, tidy and 3 happy pets. I definitely recommend Diedre and Jason for your next petsitters!
We had a great time with Mopsy and Sadie! They are cute, fluffy, friendly cats. It took only a day or so for them to adjust and feel comfortable with us. Sadie is a purr machine who LOVES being brushed, and Mopsy, despite trying to seem aloof, is really a sweet cat who likes to hang around people. They were most active in the morning and evening, and both enjoyed long catnaps during the day. Donna and Todd's home is in a beautiful, quiet, secluded corner of Connecticut. There are hiking trials nearby, the small town of Putnam about 15 mins down the road, and all of the charm and history of Connecticut's south coast accessible about an hour away. We made a few trips to the coast to visit historic towns such as Mystic and Newport, RI. Their home is only a few years old and very comfortable. We had our own guest bedroom with en suite bathroom and were allowed use of the rest of the home. There is a cozy loft space for watching TV and hanging with the cats, a nice office to use for dedicated workspace, and a large kitchen with everything you need to cook full meals. We also really enjoyed sitting on the screened in back porch reading or watching the birds. Overall, this was a great sit. Donna and Todd were very clear with their communication and available if needed while they were away. We highly recommend this sit for cat lovers who want to check out a nice quiet/historic corner of New England!
