I couldn't have been happier with a sitter than I was with Sarah. From the questions she asked when we first met over Zoom I could tell she really wanted to understand how to best care for Reggie and Frida. She communicated with me every day about their well being and was diligent about giving Reggie his medication twice a day.When I came home it was if I never left. The house was spic and span and the animals were peaceful and obviously well taken care of. What a gem!!
I had a brilliant time at Mary's home with her lovely Beagle Lily. Lily was an absolute dream to look after, she was loving, communicative and super friendly (and a great guard dog barking when the post man came). We went on some great walks together. It's a great area for walks with a beautiful park close by. The home is cosy and the back garden is a great gem for a hot city. The area is great with many amenities nearby and the metro that takes you into the centre of Madrid quickly. Mary was super welcoming and easy going, really generous and kind. I felt comfortable at the home immediately. I would love to go back and look after Lily.
Claire and Laurent are absolutely wonderful and welcomed me into their home with open arms! This was such a great sit and I instantly fell in love with their sweet pets! Their home is very lovely and centrally located to the beach, shops, cafes, etc. - I walked everywhere :) Would definitely recommend!! Thank you for everything, Claire and Laurent! <3
What a lovely housesit! Two lovely cats and a fantastic location, plus lovely house. I only completed a short housesit but in that time I got to know Loula and Briki. Loula was very affectionate from the off, and by the end Briki was starting to let me draw close to her. James and Eleana couldn’t have done more to make me feel welcome. All in all a great experience!

Great sit! Super comfy home with the sweetest dogs. Beau and Finn love being loved, and they love their walks, especially Finn who is a miles-long walking trooper. Kathi and Jim were very generous and have a well-appointed home with excellent spices in their kitchen! Amelia Island is beautiful with great restaurants, bars,parks and beaches. We had a great and relaxing time. Would definitely house-sit for Kathi, Jim, Beau, and Finn any time.
Housesitting at Elkes place has been a great experience for us! On our way back home after two months of traveling, we were looking a place to stay a bit longer. On the website we found Elke, who was looking for a housesitter for her two rabbits Ella and Max. We were pleasantly surprised that we could find someone who was looking for a housesitter on such short term. We had been housesitting before but this was the first time on Trusted Housesitters, and we had such a good experience with Elke! She met us the day before we left so she could introduce us to Ella and Max and show us around. Because Max had some medical issues, we had to give him medication and Elke showed us how to do it. The rabbits are easy-going and the apartment is very nice, with plenty of space, our own bedroom, and lots DVDs :) We really enjoyed our time here and are hoping to meeting Elke, Max and Ella again sometime.
