I highly recommend this training facility. The staff is nothing short from amazing! Extremely knowledgeable, kind, and happy to help you. I took the Therapy Dog Class here with Beth and just finished the Trick Dog Class with Adria. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Adria is an excellent trainer. She was able to show me how to teach my dogs tricks I never thought my dog could learn, and the way she would teach us my dog caught on within the first minute! This is a facility I am very willing to travel to! Happy Tails Ranch, thank you for offering such fun classes! Your staff is excellent!

The Best kennel where my dogs loved to stay!!! They don’t even say goodbye when I drop them off. Amy Bieri the owner is also the best Boxer Breeder I know. She has the most beautiful looking boxers with very good behavior. I just purchased my second boxer from her and this time I decided to make his a show dog. If you never got a boxer from her and you are considering a cheaper option then her don’t do it!!! She is very experienced in breeding, showing boxers and I give up on $1500 puppy from another person and bought my lovely puppy from Amy. Check pictures for my previous boxer who passed away in April and out new puppy!!!

Love this place. Penny always comes home so tired and he gets so excited whenever we pull into the parking lot of Happy Tails Ranch. Also, the staff are incredibly friendly and care about the dogs. We’ve taken our fur baby to a couple of different doggy daycares in the McHenry area and to say that NONE OF THEM even come CLOSE to Happy Tails Ranch is an UNDERSTATEMENT! Happy Tails Ranch is the BEST doggy daycare around!

I have been a customer at Happy Tails for 20 years, with 3 different dogs. This is a caring facility with a great staff. We have used the grooming, doggy daycare, boarding, board & train, private training sessions and group classes. Each of my rescue dogs have had issues with leash reactivity, and the trainers at HTR have been a godsend. Truly life changing stuff! One thing I appreciate is that the staff will customize care for dogs, for example they provide one-on-one time for my fearful, skittish dog. They insure safe, controlled socialization which has been amazing. When I leave my dogs for daycare and boarding, I know they are in good hands and are well cared for - this gives me peace of mind. I have worked with multiple HTR trainers, including Amy the owner, and they are all excellent. They are truly invested in our success and are very knowledgeable and caring. To be honest, it feels like family. I’m really grateful for the services and level of care provided by HTR.

We were looking for a new place to board our dog and we took a chance on Happy Tails Ranch and we were not disappointed. They took such good care of our Dixie girl!! We booked another overnight and we are considering extra training for her. Thank you for a great experience!!!

Great trainers. They are a pleasure to work with. The trainers are great working with my labadore. When Mississippi Belle gets private training they send videos while training Mississippi. Can't say enough great things about Happy Tails Ranch. Mississippi Belle loves going there she gets so very excited to go.

Our family suddenly had a great opportunity that would take us traveling almost every weekend for months! First thought was..."who is going to take care of our cats?". I didn't have time to do the extensive research, I usually do, and I did a search and Tails-a-Waggin 4U popped up. I phoned Peggy, and instantly got a great feeling from her. We have now been using Tails-a-Waggin 4U for awhile now. Peggy is wonderful, and had paired us up with one of her sitters..Linda! I can tell you that we do not have an ounce of concern, about the care our furkids receive, while we are away. I highly recommend Peggy, and her staff. Our cats, and our family, adore Linda. There are no words on how amazing and kind Peggy is! She took care of my fur child Luna (female cat, age 7.5 yrs) for 4 days and was the best. She understood that my gal can be a bit shy and timid around new people and was extremely patient with her. So patient that my cat warmed up to her and allowed Peggy to brush her. She has been the only person, outside of my husband and I, who has been able to accomplish that! We were even surprised to see cute little report cards about Luna. Peggy knows exactly what she’s doing and is always prepared if any situation arises. Anytime we need a pet sitter, we’ll always reach out to Peggy. Cannot recommend her enough!

Peggy is the best! She's helped us out for years by watching our cats and walking our dogs 2-3 times per week. Our pets love her, and she cares for them like they're her own. She is professional, responsive, and very dependable. Couldn't ask for better.

Peggy and our dog walker Colleen have been so amazing to work with. I was nervous to get a dog walker because we just rescued our dog and he is terrified of people and can be aggressive. From the moment I called Peggy she assured me that they are open to dealing with him. Colleen came to me our dog several times before she began walking him and over the past few weeks they have become the best of friends!! He even lets her rub his belly!!! Excellent service! Peggy came to our rescue when our regular pet sitter suddenly went out of business AND right before a big holiday weekend - so it was hard to find someone fast! She was able to stop by the next day, meet our Muttley and learn his little tricks and took amazing care of him while we were away for a week. She texted photos and updates every day and wrote a report on him each day as well. Really great, affordable, RELIABLE and very great with communication. I highly recommend!

The owner of this small business, Peggy, is a kind and energetic woman who is running an outstanding pet sitting service. She is very quick to respond and just a truly good person. The sitter for our area, Linda, is an absolute darling. I don't think I can truly describe how kind, patient, and caring she is. She consistently makes us feel like we can trust her with our home and pets and like they are more than taken care of. It's like having a reliable community member who can watch our spoiled pets while we're away. Pause for pets is incredible. They go above and beyond every time. I’ve been using Pause for Pets since my pup was 6months, she’s 2.5 now! I could not recommend them enough! Leigh, Amanda and Suzanne are PHENOMENAL. They give my dog plenty of love and attention, always go above and beyond my expectations. I have a random schedule, where at certain times of the year I need a weekly/bi-weekly walk, and other times I don’t. They’ve always been great at accommodating my schedule. You will not be disappointed with their service!

Sent my dog, Sparkle, there Saturday and when I got home the first thing I noticed was the nick so close to her eye. That made me check her ears one was clean and the other wasn’t. When I called them on Monday no let me make it right just a we don’t clean the ears unless asked. Well then why clean one and leave the other and since this was not her first trip her ears were always clean. I guess I need to find a more compassionate groomer for my sweet girl.

Updating our review: We hired Pause for Pets to care for our two dogs while we were away on vacation. They took care of all the walks, care and feeding, including overnight stays at our home. We have used Susanne’s dog walking service for several years, but this was the first time for extended stays, and they did a wonderful job. It was nice getting reports with photos throughout the day of what our pups were up to, including a final good night post. We returned home to find our girls happy (not having to be boarded in a strange environment), the house thoroughly neat and clean, and the yard free of poops. Not an easy task considering mild temps, rain, and a really muddy yard. We enthusiastically recommend Pause for Pets for any of the services they offer! Pause for Pets pet care has been a great blessing to us and our two dogs. Susanne and her team are consistent, reliable and allow us to go about our workdays without worrying about our dogs being cared for. The website is super easy to use for scheduling, payments and to access the daily reports with photos we love to get. We’ve been using Pause for Pets for quite some time now and give them our very highest recommendation!

Susanne, Leigh, and Cody really put my mind at ease while we were away. This was our first time using pet sitters - we usually board our dogs, but due to our place closing and one of our dog's requiring more TLC, we opted to find a pet sitting service. Right away when I spoke with Susanne, I felt Pause for Pets was professional and thorough. I met with a few other companies but ultimately chose Pause for Pets because of my initial conversation with Susanne and my gut feeling of their reliability and the level of care they'd be able to provide. My gut wasn't wrong! I love the portal Pause for Pets uses - it allowed me to enter in as much detail as I needed regarding our home and our pets. I was also able to see the daily journal entries with information about each visit, along with photos. Next time we need pet sitters, Pause for Pets will be my first call!

This was my first time ever having to leave my dog in the care of someone and I am so glad I found pause for pets!! It was pretty short notice but Susanne was able to accommodate my requests and went above and beyond. I never worried about being gone for the weekend after seeing the level of care she gave to my dog butters. The portal they have is amazing and you can see each visit along with pictures! My dog and I love fire spirit doggy day care! The employees take the absolute best care of the dogs and they roam free and have so much interaction and play time! It’s a wonderful place for a dog!

This place is fantastic. We recently got a puppy who has a lot of energy who loves coming here. She gets to play all day with many dogs. The staff is amazing and so accommodating to our dogs needs. They always have time for last minute baths and nails. The are extremely friendly and my dog loves them. They are relatively cheap compared to other places and offer many different packages. I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for my dog. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a place for their dog to make friends and release energy.

Our pup loves going to Free Spirit Doggy Daycare; she practically sprints from the car to the back to go and play. The people who work here are all wonderful, you can tell they truly love dogs and are passionate about them. Tricia did our pups evaluation and we knew right away that we would be bringing our pup here on a regular basis based on how friendly and welcoming she was. She answered all of our questions and I loved that they not only did a people evaluation with our dog, but a dog evaluation with her to make sure she was comfortable and the dogs all got along. We love that we have the ability to watch the dogs play on the tv screen, they always look like they are having a blast. Highly recommend bringing your dog here if you’re looking to burn some energy or your pup loves other dogs and wants to socialize.

They took great care of my dog. He hurt his paw playing with the boarders and free spirit called me to tell me. After discussion they took him to the vet to get checked out. He was fine just a bruise. They kept him separated so he can heal. 3 days later I picked him up and he was fine back to normal. I totally recommend FREE SPIRIT. Thank you for great service.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Leaving my dogs is never easy...but Free Spirit makes me feel much better about it. The staff is always SO friendly!! I am able to call whenever to check up and they tell me exactly what my doggies are up too. All the staff seems very knowledgeable as well. They have helped one of my dogs socialize with other dogs better, as she was not so good at this to start with. Great knowing they are in good hands!

If you are looking for a safe healthy environment to board your fuzzy, I highly recommend this location. My fuzzy always acts wild and crazy when on a leash. I took him here for a few days and he completely loved being with a pack of dogs. The staff made us feel super safe about having him their and catered to our peculiar needs for our fuzzy.

I called last minute and they were able to get my 2 boxers in quickly. Great job on grooming and my dogs were at ease immediately with them, which does not always happen. I am impressed and will be using them regularly. Pricing is very reasonable.

Irina loves going to doggy daycare at Free Spirit. The facility is so clean, smells great, and the staff is wonderful and very friendly. Cage free daycare. I love to see my dogs to play with other dogs freely. Price is reasonable. We have sent our dogs there from time to time for over 3 years. Wish they could have discount or pass packages for boarding.

We've been bringing our dogs here for the past year and a half. The facility is very clean, and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. It really says something that our dogs literally jump out of the car and pull on their leashes trying to get inside. They love it here!

Tyler and his team are the best around! Our golden retriever absolutely adored him for his daily walks. They were always extremely flexible with our crazy schedules, and we always loved getting picture updates during their walks. Would recommend these guys to everybody!

My dog really likes this place. They have good pricing, a nice facility, and convenient hours. I do wish they offered full grooming services but they do offer baths and nail trims.

Our Sunny is not the type of dog to like being left (as a rescue there's some past trauma there) but boy does he seem to really enjoy playing with the other dogs! When we have to leave him, paws on Pingree is the place to trust.

The staff and facility are wonderful. My senior "Winston" was always happy to go and did very well there. It is clean, organized and accommodating. After Winston passed the staff sent a photo that had been taken at some point and a kind and warm note. I would always recommend based on my experience.

Paws on Pingree is a great place for people who work full time and need daily care for their pets. It’s also a good solution for when you are going out of town (but only for a few days because it’s EXTREMELY exhausting and stressful for the dogs so I would never leave mine there for more than 2 nights). The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they seem to have a hard time managing the rarely talked about, but very real, poop-eating problem. My dog contracted Giardia from there on 2 different occasions and when I called to figure out what they can do to rid the place of the nasty parasite, they pretty much said they couldn’t do anything. To their credit, they listened to me on several occasions while I tried to provide some suggestions on how to help with the issue, and also separated her from the big dogs while she was a puppy which seemed to help. I love all the staff who work here, and my dogs love them too. The prices are a little steep, but for the quality of service it’s worth it. My dogs always bound in there like it’s the best thing ever, and then they come out like they have had so much fun and are totally exhausted. It’s also a great way to help your dog build confidence, my young pit bull mix was very shy and timid at first, and was so scared to come, but after about 3-4 times she learned what a fun place it is and it really helped with her confidence.

We’ve been taking our dogs here since 2017 and absolutely love it. It’s a great way to socialize your dog from a young age, and my two dogs love “going to see their friends”. I always feel comfortable boarding them, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other places. The staff is amazing and they all are trained and just simply love dogs. I always can relax knowing my dogs are being loved and well taken care of. They come home happy and exhausted. The staff also does a great job with mail trims which is a bonus! Our dog is loved here! And she loves to come. The membership price is super reasonable for what you get, and the employees really love the dogs. They also have a snapchat account, it's fun to take a break during the day and look to see what all the pups are up to. The Manager, Christy/Christie, is super sweet and personable. Everyone here knows my pup by name, and we feel good about trusting this daycare with our pup. We use them for daycare, baths, and boarding and will continue to!

We (doggies included) love Paws! The come home exhausted and happy every time. I love how the staff builds relationships with each of the dogs and you can genuinely tell they care about the dogs in their care. So fun dropping our dogs off and seeing how excited they are to be there!

Jessie has a connection with animals that every pet sitter should hope for. Animals LOVE Jessie and she loves them right back. There are few people that I would trust with my pets and Jessie is at the top of the list. Not only is she a great sitter/walker/playmate, but she is also educated in the medical aspect of animals. She knows what to look for if a pet is not feeling well or acting a bit off. To have someone there when you are not that can quickly make the right decision is so important to a pet owner. Jessie does indeed got the extra mile for all of her clients and I couldn't think of a better person to be with my pets when I can't.

We have two big labs that Jessie takes care of when we are out of town. It is so nice to be able to leave them at home and not worry about bringing them to the kennel. We know they are well attended to by Jessie!

My dog is the love of my life and this company understands that and is the best thing that has happened for my baby. They are reliable, loving, and trustworthy. I met Karen on a second visit and knew that I could trust the Bright Star team with our cats. The website to set up our account, pet details, schedule visits & input our home info was easy to use and navigate. Payment methods were straightforward with competitive rates. I was provided with an app to download on my phone where I could communicate with the team and get updates, as well as manage my account. While we were away - one of our cats proved particularly difficult and the Bright Star team went above & beyond to ensure he was taken care of, as well as our other cat who was less shy & finicky. Each sitter provided a detailed report after each visit via the Time to Pet app letting us know how our cats were doing, complete with pictures. I asked A LOT of questions while we were away, and the team were patient & responsive to answer them all. I trusted Anita, Nick & Karen with my cats and our home and would 100% recommend them for pet sitting services.

We have been using Bright Star for close to five years to care for our pets when we travel and/or are away from the for extended lengths of time. Their care has always been top notch. They are reliable, trustworthy and most of all caring towards our animals. They provide photos and written updates after every visit via their customer portal which also includes emails. It gives us woo much peace of mind to see them and know they are doing well. In addition, they make sure our garbage is taken out, they retrieve our mail and water our plants. Bright Star Pet Services are the best! They are very thorough, kind, and go above and beyond with their care. Receiving the daily updates, along with pictures taken daily of our pets, eases our minds while we are out of town. During our last trip, our flight was canceled due to weather, and we needed a last minute emergency visit of our pets. They immediately contacted us back and promptly went to check on our pets. Highly recommend. We feel so fortunate to have found the people of Bright Star!

I have been bringing my dogs to Gypsy Glen K-9 Kastle since 2014. My dogs spend several long weekends and week long visits every year. I know they are treated with love, kindness, and are in safe hands with people I trust.

We have been taking our fur baby to Gypsy Glen for 7 years since we adopted him. Kathy has given numerous tips to keep our dog happy and healthy - from natural dog treats, exercises to training instructions. Given Kathy's background of training K9 for police and fire, our dog is always better behaved when he comes home. We trust Kathy to keep up with the same level of discipline we give our dog. Kathy has been generous with samples of treats and food items so our dog can try different things before we purchase them. The staff is also very conscientious about making sure that the fur babies are in good health when they stay at Gypsy Glen so all other fur babies don't get sick. We always have to provide proof of yearly vaccinations, which gives us peace of mind that our dog is safe from potential life-threatening illnesses.

I wish I could give more stars. It is wonderful to find a place that loves and protects dogs. Kathy the owner spent a lot of time with my dog, a big muscular pit bull type mix who did NOT want her long claws clipped, was afraid to be someplace new. Kathy was so patient and kind, my dog eventually realized she was being helped, but first put up a big fight. Kathy knows, understands, & loves dogs. Gypsy Glen was created for the mental, physical benefit of the dogs in her care. I trust them completely, and there is no higher recommendation than to be able to feel that way.

Kathy was so wonderful with our dogs, both rescues with kennel anxiety. They were very much at ease when we dropped them off and picked them up. The facility is clean, and Kathy and her staff are very attentive. They don't just make sure the dogs are fed and let out - they truly care for your pet as if they were theirs. We will not take our dogs anywhere else!!

My experience with Kathy dates back almost 30 yrs ago. I purchased a black Lab from her. The dog was a beautiful & VERY HEALTHY pup, he just loved to run & had a big mind of his own. I had kids in diapers & this dog would sneak out all the time & just go run. Kathy worked with the dog & I for quite sometime, to try to get him to come to us. He literally would hear his name & run. We worked for months to no avail. She bought the dog back from me, spent 3 more years training him to sniff out Arsenic fires. The pup moved to Tx, to live his life with the Chief of the Fire Dept. Funny thing he’d still run, but all they had to do was start the car & he’d come back! Lol My point is..... How many breeders invest 3 years into training a dog that failed obedience classes 3x & give you your money back for the pup & the classes! Kathy was one of the most ETHICAL DOG BREEDERS around. We have a 8 year old shep/dane mix who can be quite a handful. Our pup has been full of anxiety as long as we can remember, but Kathy has always gone the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. She gives him an extra large kennel (when available), she puts up a sheet to make sure he can get worked up from seeing other dogs, she even notices things hot spots and tends to them if needed. Kathy is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure our boy has a happy stay. He is always excited to get to Gypsie Glen K9 Castle, but more excited to come home. Just the way we like it! Gypsie Glen K9 Castle is the ONLY boarding facility I would trust my dogs to.

very knowledgeable dog owner/trainer. very professional. They have more than 50 acres of land devoted to animal care and boarding. Kathy is very experienced with german shepherds, and has actually started "Police K-9" and "Search and Rescue" programs for a few different local cities/counties. Easy to work with and very accommodating.

Juli and her team are fantastic! Not only do they treat our dogs like gold, but they are responsive, friendly, and trustworthy. There have been multiple times where they have even taken care of last minute emergency visits for us. Our dogs love them! We can't recommend them enough.

Juli and her team took great care of our "kids" while we were gone for almost a month. Healthy, happy and everything clean when we got home. We appreciated her answering our texts promptly while we were gone to reassure us all was fine (we had very limited cell coverage most of the time) . I like the website scheduling as a lot of information can be entered about each pet and if something changes, it is easy to let her know via the site.
