Rod and Kathy are very welcoming and great to chat with. They left all the necessary information and were in reach if need be. Their kitties are sweet hearts. They let you know when it is feeding time and Wesley is a little chatterbox.
Owners : Kate and Jon are a lovely couple who own a beautiful home and two gorgeous dogs! I am very grateful that they gave me the opportunity to look after Blue + Monty. Kate and Jon made a booklet including all the instructions and information I needed about their food, walks, commands , medication and more! Which was extremely helpful :). The Dogs : Blue and Monty are both very affectionate dogs who will happily sleep on your lap when on the sofa. Monty has a very sweet charming gentle attitude whereas blue is still very much a puppy at heart with a lot of excitement. They are both very well house trained with simple commands such as sitting, waiting to eat their food and going to bed so you can eat your food. I would recommend walking them separately if you are sitting alone! As when together can become very excited when other dogs come into the equation however individually I didn’t have any issues! The location : The house is absolutely stunning and on a wonderful quiet private strip which has a field and walkway next to a stream directly behind the houses which is very handy for walking the dogs! If you follow that same path it actually takes you into central Cambridge which I did! It took me around 40 minutes to walk into the city of Cambridge but it was a very straight forward peaceful walk if you want to explore the city. The closest place to visit if you was interested is the Fitzwilliam museum! Overall I felt very safe and very comfortable in this home and with these dogs. thank you very much Kate and Jon again for accepting me to care for your home and dogs Shannon x
This was a wonderful sit. The four cats, Pumpkin, Jake, Nutmeg, and Sooty, took a little while to warm up to me and then they were easy to pet, friendly and well-behaved. I missed them when I departed. Ken and Inge have a lovely home that is clean and well cared for. They are very kind and generous. Ken has all the details you need to know to have a successful sit typed and labeled by topic. He is very organized. I wholeheartedly recommend this sit and hope I can return again in the future.
Great stay in a lovely part of the world. Perry was such a sweet cat to sit. No bother at all. She does love sleeping near the warm radiator and was quite content during my stay. Housesitting for Michèle and Bart was a lovely encounter. Our hosts were generous and welcoming. They have a stunning house, which provides a dynamic light show throughout the day. This is a house for a top-tier dog. Benya is a ridgeback full of smarts and character. She sits like a human while her meal is being prepared. She’s friendly to people she knows—and protective, too. She showed some reactivity while we were walking, but she was scheduled to go for training right after our sit, which I’m sure is helping her trust levels ^^ She’s a good girl. What a fantastic week! Debbie's home was beautiful, comfortable, and running on a great routine like a well-oiled maching. Dogs, cats, and chickens were all a breeze to take care of, and I really can't undersell the beauty of their home inside and out. It's clear they've taken much care to make their home a little paradise, and I would be happy to come back and care for all of their creatures any time. I'll especially be missing little Dominoes, she was the absolute sweetest kitty! If you have the chance to come and house sit for Debbie and Scott, absolutely take it!
