Carmel and Ned have a very sweet cat named Joey :) They have a beautiful apartment with a sunny terrace and many plants. It is a quiet and relaxing neighborhood only 15 min walking to the beach. It is also very close to the town center for shopping and the train line that takes you into Lisbon or Cascais. Carmel and Ned are very warm and gracious hosts.
Our recent stay near Victoria with Cocoa and Nouille was a fun relaxing affair, both dogs and appartment are sweet and cuddly (comfortable). As older dogs they seem most happy hanging around the house with you, short walks are fine and Nouille really comes to life chasing sticks on the beach! Jena was very organized and comunicative, her kitchen well equipped, although I should have brought a few of my favorite prep knives:). Definately recomend for a quiet couple of days
Pet sitting for Boba was amazing! Ethan and Keith are lovely and left clear instructions for how to take care of Boba. Boba has a lot of energy so we had a lot of fun at the dog park and on runs. After a couple days he starts to do this very cute thing where he protects you from other dogs. Highly recommend!
I definitely enjoyed spending my days with Jasper with such a gorgeous view from Kathryn’s apartment. Jasper was very affectionate, loved sitting next to me when I was on the couch and loved playing with his teaser wand. He was very easy to care for. The apartment was spotless clean, very well organized and decorated. Is in a central location in Portland and having a safe parking spot in the garage for this sit made the whole difference. I saw the bus runs right in front of the building too. Kathryn and Jim were very welcoming, left clear instructions and were very easy to communicate with. I would love to come back in the future and highly recommend this sit :)
Staying at Kaia's was an experience we will never forget. We absolutely fell in love with her Parson Russell Terrier, Tuey, over our 2 months staying there. Her other dog, Mochey, which was a Jack Russell wasn't around, but we wish he was to keep her company at times. She was such a gentle and peaceful dog, and despite her old age, she was in such amazing condition with tons of energy and seemed to just be in a perfect state of health. I can't say enough good things, but we miss her greatly! Kaia's house was beautiful as well. Small and cozy with 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, which felt very spacious. It is also in an ideal location, at least for us, because it is acoss from a long walking path; there's no neighbors in front and it was very quiet overall, hardly ever realizing people were nearby; there was an awesome asian market down the street with amazing tropical fruit like jackfruit, persimmons, mangoes, rambutans and durian; the neighborhood had a nice energy with colorful homes and aesthetically pleasing. You were far enough from Downtown Portland to be away from the craziness, but close enough where you could get there easily. We went everywhere on foot, and had no problem going into downtown once or sometimes twice per week, not to mention there is public transportation everywhere. Kaia was also such a friendly person who we really enjoyed getting to meet, but wish we had more time to get to know each other. She drove us to the airport and bus station no questions asked, and had the house perfectly cleaned upon our arrival. She had anything we could've ever needed from a blender to a food processor and dehydrator as well. Also, if you go in November/December she had a huge Hachiya persimmon tree where we harvested almost 200 (you pay $4/each at Whole Foods). We hope to go back, but if whoever is reading this goes, you won't regret it, I just hope you respect her home, and be good to her dogs!

The Dawg Joint is just awesome! Cindy and Bob care for your pets like their own, They are also conveniently located in downtown Asbury Park. They cared for my puppy in their doggie daycare program. She had such a great time - she can't wait to visit! They also provide grooming services. I have a very large cat and they were so sweet and patient grooming her. I highly recommend them :)!

Today I took my puppies to The Dawg Joint for the first time and I COULDN'T be any happier with them. I loved how they took them in with so much love and kisses even though the pups were covered in sand. I love their haircut and can't stop smelling them. I am so grateful we have found such a great place walking distance from us.
I have been going to the dawg joint for 4 years and Cindy and Bobby are amazing. They always go the extra mile for my dog Coco. They fit her in when I really need it. Look after her if I run late and always do an amazing job grooming. After a truly scary experience at Petco I was so happy to find them and they are the only place I will take my dog.
One of the best groomers in the area — if not the best. They truly will spend hours giving your dog a perfect groom. They are very busy so be sure to call many days in advance !

Having our Newfie, Matthew, shaved down for the summer was a tall task for Yellow Roof. It took 2 sessions to get results. I can't say enough about the staff. The worked until 10 PM on the second session. The best around.
Very friendly staff. You and your pet will feel very comfortable. I am happy to find a place that will bathe her, brush her teeth, polish her nails and give her a temporary tattoo(pet safe). Prices that won't break your wallet. I highly recommend this place. UPDATE: my baby in the photos passed on 07/20/19 at 12:40am while admitted to the Garden State Vetinary Hospital. The Neptune Animal Hospital,with Rocco and Dr.Lorenzo saw my Nene on an emergency basis and I will always be greatful for the care and attention they gave on an emergency basis. We love our fur babies and when something goes really wrong, you definitely will feel better knowing that your vet (and wonderful staff,esp. Rocco) took the best care of the pet at this time.

The Groomer and Staff at Yellow Roof take great care of my 1 year old pup. He always looks and smells amazing after his visits. I prefer to use the Yellow Roof over a chain store because they are more personable and experienced, and they know my pup.
I absolutely love this place. They take such good care of My puppy Gus. He’s been there several times now with nothing but positive results. The staff is very friendly and helpful and you can usually get an appointment rather quickly. These are truly good people. I once accidentally left my wallet there filled with cash. And not only did they call me. They brought it to me fully intact! I can’t say enough good things about this place. Nothing but positive experiences!

Donna has been wonderful for our anxious dog. Tami warmed up to her so quickly - she normally takes days to weeks to be comfortable with a new person and Donna was able to get her out of the house on a walk from the very first day. Knowing that Tami is in good hands while we are at work gives us such peace of mind. We are so lucky to have found her and highly recommend her services.

I’ve worked in the pet care industry for 6 years, so I know firsthand how important, yet difficult, it is to find trustworthy and caring people to take care of your animals. I found Erica and Chaz through a colleague when I was looking for a dog walker as my job got busier and it became more difficult for me to take my dog, Peaches, out in the middle of the day. They are the kindest and most caring human beings with her and have put up with her quirks so well and I would simply not trust anyone else, besides my parents, to take care of her. I contacted Bark at the Moon late last winter, when I needed advice before adopting a sweet and snuggly but “difficult” dog. I had never met Erica before, but her experience with the Victoria Stilwell Academy gave me confidence that I could trust her input. During our phone call, Erica's insightfulness and realistic perspective about our situation furthered my confidence. She said she’d be happy to work with us if I decided that adopting this dog was the right decision for me. It was, and he and I have been happily working with her since then! Erica is personable, understanding, and genuinely cares about her clients and their needs. The more I talk to and work with her, the more I respect her insights and knowledge about dog training and behavior. She always asks questions about my dog and his habits, to be sure we’re working to treat the causes, not the symptoms. Erica taught us positive reinforcement-based tactics that work for his specific needs (and mine!). She also gave me pointers on things I’d already been working on, which turned out to be the keys to getting consistent responses from my guy. All of the things we’ve worked on have fed into one another, and I’m even seeing positive changes in certain behaviors that we haven’t addressed directly. To me, that’s a huge testament to her methods. It’s been a lot of work and there’s still more ahead, but we’ve made SO much progress in a pretty short amount of time. We definitely wouldn’t be where we are now without Erica’s help. Thank you, Erica!!
Erica takes care of my two cats, Kodak and Leica, when I'm out traveling. I never have to worry if they're being well cared for. She'll reach out with pictures and updates of how they're doing. I recently rescued a puppy, Sadie, who had a rough start to her life. She was an incredibly fearful puppy and I was unable to comfortably groom her, get a collar on her or share a couch with her without fear of being growled at or snapped. Unfortunately, I tried a different trainer previous to Erica who actually recommended that I return my dog. I was feeling very lost and discouraged, but didn’t want to give up on Sadie. That’s when I found Erica and everything changed. Erica listened to my concerns and taught me positive reinforcement training techniques, which really helped to earn Sadie’s trust and reduce her fears. Sadie has blossomed into an incredibly happy, energetic puppy and I feel confident in the skills that Erica has taught me to apply them to future problems that may arise. I would recommend Erica from Bark at the Moon to anyone considering dog training.

Erica and her husband run an amazing company, I've had her care for my babies(dogs) for awhile now and have been very happy with her services. Both dogs have taken to them super fast which to me is a great sign, they are pet-loving, spoiling and compassionate about what they do. I highly recommend them if you want to feel comfortable and at ease when leaving you babies!
My senior dog, Morty, is medically fragile and completely deaf. The care provided by Erica and Bark at the Moon is unparalleled. I know my dog is in competent, compassionate hands with this excellent company - they have my utmost trust. His medications and foods are dispensed perfectly and communication with Erica is always clear. She is extremely precise with care instructions and I feel confident that everything is handled down to the tiniest detail. His deafness means he startles easily and cannot use verbal commands, but Bark at the Moon is so gentle and patient that he is always at ease with them. He had an unexpected surgery recently and the care provided by Erica while he was recovering was nothing short of exceptional. She made sure he was comfortable as possible and took him on short little walk in his cone. They have my profound gratitude for helping our most beloved family member when he needed it most.
