This sit went far too fast. Coco and Pip are adorable and were so easy to look after. If off the lead, Pip will not wander far from your side but Coco, who is tiny, is so fast I'm sure she could beat the land speed record. Both come back when called so are easy to walk if you want to take them to one of the many parks or woods in the area. The house is very comfortable and close to the town centre so although I do have one, it would be very easy to manage without a car. The town centre is only a short walk away with everything you would need. There are lots of lovely villages and small towns a short drive away and would be well worth a visit. Johanna is a lovely host and ensured that my stay was comfortable and I had everything I needed. We had regular contact via WhatsApp and my instructions were clear so I had no problems. I would highly recommend this sit
We cannot recommend this house sit highly enough. Dot & John are a great couple with unlimited knowledge of their area, suggesting to us many places of interest to visit. It was a labour of love to look after Daisy, a very personable Lakeland Terrier & also 2 friendly chickens. Their family home was welcoming & comfortable with a very warm burner, in a very pretty village with many lovely walks & Canal system. We feel we have made a new, wonderful friendship with Dot & John & look forward to House sitting for them again.
This sit went so easily. Thank you Maya and Adam for your hospitality. The house is located in a good area, trees and flowers bloom everywhere on the streets, such a green oasis, and nearby there is everything you need for life. Mochi is a big bundle of love and happiness. He is so wonderful, well-mannered and playful, knows a lot of commands and will be happy if you play with him or scratch his belly. He gave us many smiles. We will miss you, we hope to meet again someday. We recommend it from the bottom of our hearts ❤️
Eric and Lyndsay's home is very quaint- sits in peaceful part of Oregon City, about 20 minutes outside of Portland. It's the perfect getaway for quiet, restful retreat. The alpacas are lots of fun to visit, and very easy to care. Water and some pellets for treats! They are adorable Mousse, one of two small dogs, is super friendly and will follow you around pretty much everywhere you go. She does like to sleep with you - which I was more than fine with- but that's something to note! She's very quiet, and as the room got chilly, she would nuzzle herself under the blanket to stay warm. She's super sweet Butter, who is blind, spends most of time in a clothed- filled hamper bin, sequestered in a back closet. She feels safe in the hamper, and will often growl when you go to retrieve her from the bin, but I learned that once I finessed her out of the bin, she's just fine. I learned that if I cradled her under my arm and talk to her a bit she relaxed and showed her sweetness! The most difficult part about the sit was leaving! I grew so attached to the animals... Thank you Lyndsay and Eric ☺️
Jennifer and Erik were the best of hosts - assuring that we had everything we needed and full of recommendations of where to find the best parks, musums, restaurants and ice cream in the area. The cats were friendly and easily bribed with food to do anything that was needed (like come in from the deck when darkness fell). Their antics were endlessly amusing. The house sits on 5 fully fenced acres surrounded by lovely gardens; a peaceful retreat. It has the coziness of an older residence but tricked out with all the latest technology. So if you like historic combined with modern, this could be the sit for you.
I sat for Verla in their Kerrville home- it's a gem nestled in the trees. I felt like I was living in a treehouse with trees all around. Kerrville is a quaint town with hiking, cute shops, and good food. Great communication with Verla. Chloe is your friend and companion right away. Frenchie and Louie take their time but become your friends. Easy comfortable sit. Love to sit again.
