Astrid is an absolute treasure - she is just the right ratio (for me!) of cuddly:independent. She’s very careful not to claw you when she paws you too. VERY curious and may watch you change her litter! Alex was great to interact with; gave me plenty of info beforehand and was quick to respond to my questions and need during the sit. Despite being next to a highway it was surprisingly quiet. •the 4*s for a couple of points are: the layout is quite different from photos; there is less space, & a dog does lives there (maybe trouble if you’re allergic); and not so much cleanliness but my skin was reacting to something in the bed. Could’ve been a detergent, I did not see a single bug in the home.
We had a wonderful time with Amara. She is a lovely dog, we loved taking her out and about on lots of lovely walks and we had the pleasure of taking her out in the snow during our stay, which she was absolutely delighted about - catching snowballs and diving on piles of snow. Our youngest loved practising all her tricks, that we read she could do. Kate made us feel very welcome and her house is very cozy with loads of beautiful house plants and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect - a few minutes walk from Lark Lane (which has loads of gorgeous restaurants and bars), there is a library a few minutes away too, Sefton Park, Priory Woods and Festival Gardens are all within walking distance. Very close to bus route that takes you straight into town in about 20 minutes. We hope to come back soon! ❤️
My sit with sweet, chatty Lucky was great. As soon as she warmed up with me she stayed by my side & on my lap. Dawn & Phil are lovely people who made me feel welcome straight away. The house was absolutely spotless & tidy - best I've seen so far! The location is super, so close the town center of Tavistock & some beautiful walks along the canal & just a short distance to the moors. I'd come back happily anytime & will certainly drop in for a visit when I'm in the area next. Thanks a lot Dawn & Phil, I had a fab time!
Leah and her family were amazing. They were so kind and the house was beautiful and in a great location. Lola is a wonderful, loving dog and very responsive and incredibly smart. There is a beautiful walk in the canyon just 5 minutes from the house where Lola and I went every day. London was a bit more standoffish until we got to know him, and then he wanted lots of cuddles and pets! The Village of Montclair is just down the hill with lots of restaurants and shopping. San Francisco is only 30 minutes away, and Lake Merritt is just 10-15 minutes. I would not hesitate to repeat this sit. Very highly recommended.
Petsitting for Snowball and Abby was so sweet to the point where it's actually hard to leave the house to explore sunny San Diego! Snowball is the kind of kitty that doesn't hide, curious to meet you, ask to play as often as you can with her, and will cuddle with you on the couch or on the bed. She loves to 'zoom' around the house and come back to you to play with her toys. She's very easy to feed and her litterbox is easy to clean. Abby is the mellow type of dog that loves it when you throw ball with her either inside the house or outside in the yard. When you play with Snowball, she'll bring her ball and join to play as well! Very easy to walk and is a great companion to go to a local park or to the Dog Beach at Coronado to run around with the ball. Abby will keep you company on the bed or on the couch at night depending on her mood. Jamie's home is very clean and comfortable to work in and use as a base to explore San Diego. She's a really kind host who makes sure you feel at ease when you arrive, shows you around the house, and is easy to communicate with while she's out of town. Everything you'd need is already supplied. Highly recommend this petsit if you can!
