We had a wonderful time looking after the delightful Coco and Chino in Amanda's lovely house. We were made to feel very welcome and she left very clear instructions for us about the cats individual needs and the running of the house. Amanda was very thoughtful about ensuring that the house had been cleaned to a high standard, in view of Covid, and arranging for us to arrive after the family had departed for their holiday. We kept in touch whilst the family were away and we would be very happy to look after the cats again - we highly recommend this housesit.
Jo-Ann and David were amazing hosts. Very generous and understanding, great communication and a very well appointed and beautiful house in a very safe and enjoyable neighbourhood with lots of cafes, restaurants, bars, breweries and shops as well as being a stones throw away from High Park. The best part is getting to hang out with Grace who's an incredibly loyal dog to her parents and her sitter, she's a great cuddler and a joy to play with and hang at parks conversation starter with others as she's just sooooo adorable!
Sophie and Max are a wonderful couple who were very welcoming and fully prepared for our stay, with a detailed welcome guide upon arrival. We felt at ease and comfortable in their lovely home. Jack is such a delight to look after, he is a sweet gentle giant. He loves to nap on his blanket next to you, and he will sit with you in the garden whilst you are having a cup of tea. Jack is such a homely cat who enjoys his humans company. He will tell you sharply when he is due for his dinner and often finds a comfortable place to sleep on his water bowl. Sophie & Max have a lovely family home. In a quiet area with a lot of nature around. Which felt like a nice retreat for us. It’s only 20 minute walk to Haywards Heath train station and local shops and supermarkets. We would absolutely stay again :)
We had a wonderful stay at Mauricio and Ani's house, and absolutely fell in love with Enya and Kyara. The two girls are such different personalities, both amazing! Kyara is funny and silly and was our best buddy immediately, she is full of energy and very affectionate. She was always so excited to go for a walk, and watching her swim and try to pick up rocks from underwater in the reservoir was very entertaining! Enya was shy at first and clearly sad about her human family's departure, but she warmed up to us after a day or two (especially after we had persuaded her to join us for a couple of walks) and was very loving. She is a very sweet dog and really won our hearts! Both dogs were a pleasure to care for and spend time with. We grew more confident walking them off the lead after a few days (once they became more used to us and more likely to return quickly when called). The walk Mauricio showed us around the nearby reservoir was beautiful and allowed plenty of opportunity for Kyara to swim, which she loves! On very wet days when we didn't fancy a long walk, we walked them around the attractive local streets (on the lead) or to a park just up the road. Both dogs loved to snuggle up with us on the sofa in the evenings (Kyara is quite big and doesn't really fit on the sofa with anyone else, but she likes to try!), and would sit close to us while we were working at our computers during the day. Mauricio and Ani were great hosts - very welcoming, they gave us plenty of details in their welcome pack about the dogs and the house, and they were in constant communication with us so it was easy to ask them anything we needed to. The house was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location is perfect - two minutes' walk to the reservoir for walking with the dogs, and 5 minutes to Hadfield village centre with several small shops and takeaways etc. And close to Glossop which has larger supermarkets, pubs and other shops. We were sad to leave Enya and Kyara and hope to look after them again in the future!
Thank you to Kate and Jamie for a super house sit in a fabulous location. A warm and friendly welcome when I arrived and easy communication throughout my stay. Frank is a great character who's full of life and an absolute joy to look after. I would definitely recommend this house sit.
We loved our stay with Gracie! She was such a sweet dog from the moment we met her. She enjoys relaxing outside and playing ball. A low maintenance, lovable dog who we would love to sit for again! The house was beautiful and situated in a quiet and safe neighborhood.
