This sit was exactly what I anticipated. Maple (who is a bundle of silliness & love) and I explored surrounding neighborhoods with beautiful architecture, as well, the area park is within a three block walk. Within a half mile you can access groceries and eateries. I really enjoyed the grandness of this house and its proximity to downtown is a plus. The sunroom in the back was a beautiful place to mellow out with the cats who are distinct in their personalities;Sweetness and cleverness. Trang has detailed instructions on how to care specifically for the cats and Maple. She is great with keeping the lines of communication open and responded promptly to my queries. I slept very comfortably while staying in their air-conditioned room.
I had a great time taking care of Ruthie, Bo and Ranger. Each one has their own distinct personality, and I enjoyed getting to know all of them. Riva has a lovely home in a very cool neighborhood, close to everything. Communication was easy. I would definitely recommend sitting for her if you have the opportunity.
I had a fantastic time with Nala and Winston. They were really fun dogs to sit. Nala and Winston are very happy dogs always playing and having a great time. They listened to commands and were always fun to walk. Dani and Diana were excellent hosts providing documents and videos of all the information I would need for my sit. Very easy going and easy to talk to. I look forward to sitting for them again and I would highly recommend them.
TL;DR: Awesome sit for two cool cats and one great owner in a killer location! This was my first sit through Trusted Housesitters, and wow did I get lucky. Everything I hoped a sit could be, this sit was that and more. George was a dream host. The flat was in immaculate condition when I arrived, with clean towels, fresh sheets, and even an empty nightstand drawer. Whenever I had a question he was quick to answer by WhatsApp, so I never felt I couldn’t reach out if need be. Overall just the loveliest guy. The two sisters, Omorpha and Ziggy, are both so adorable and sweet in the same ways, and hilarious in different ways. They’ll keep you entertained. If you are willing to comb Ziggy night and day, she won’t complain. And Omorpha will have a chat-off with you if you’re game. I miss them already. They were fantastic company! The building is ridiculously positioned in the most fun neighborhood, with incredible food all around (Brick Lane at the end of the block and a Sainsbury Local around the corner). You can walk between 2 to 5 minutes to catch a bus to any part of Central London (I prefer buses), but the Shoreditch Overground station is literally a 3-minute walk too if you prefer trains. I never once felt unsafe even as a solo woman sitter. Then there is the view! The pictures in George’s listing only give a hint of the gorgeous cityscape. I’d sit Omorpha and Ziggy again in a heartbeat if George asked. If you get the opportunity, DO IT. You won’t regret it! Thank you G, O, and Z!
What a lovely home Rachael has, it certainly feels a lovely family home & very cosy with absolutely stunning views over Torquay, if you like the sun her balcony is the perfect sun trap. The house has all the amenities you need & in a perfect location to explore the beautiful coast line. Chester her adorable cat is so easy to look after, he spends a lot of time outside, but he still loves to come & see you for some fuss. Rachael was easy to keep in touch with all the time & before we started the sit. We would loved to have spent more time here & hope to sit again soon, I would highly recommend this sit.. This is a late review, but we were 100% pleased with our experience here. Being able to pick up and drop off our dog during the day was great. That enabled us to take him where we could, yet still enjoy eating out, etc.
This was my first time using a kennel and Mary was friendly, experienced and helpful for my special scheduling needs...plus my dog seemed happy there! I liked its smaller number of dogs and the location was pretty central.
Nice large inside/outside kennels with gates to close the dogs up inside at night. The owner was especially helpful when we had to find lodging for our dog on short notice.

We were so relieved to discover Claudia at Happy Paws to take care of our special needs rescue mutt, who is a sweetheart but is insecure and reactive. After thoroughly learning about his behavior and needs, she accepted him for exclusive overnight care. When we left him for his first trial night, we were skeptical he would be able to adjust, but Claudia is a true dog person because he settled right in with her in her comfortable doggy-centric home. She sent us multiple updates during the 24-hour period, reassuring us he was doing well and asking clarifying questions to ensure his happiness and comfort. Claudia is a gem and we highly recommend her for doggy care needs!
We highly recommend Happy Paws Inn and Resort. we left our golden doodle, Beau with Claudia for four days and she sent pictures showing how he was getting along. It was obvious that he was having a good time. It is also obvious that Claudia cares about each dog she takes care of.
We can't say enough good about our dog's stay with Claudia. This was his first time away from us, and he couldn't have been happier. Claudia helped him adjust, relax, eat, play with the other dogs, and cuddle with her. Claudia has watched my dog a number of times, as she takes wonderful care of him. He is always happy to go over there, and I have total peace of mind when I travel knowing that he’s having fun! Happy Paws is a serene and beautiful vacation spa where my Labradoodle (Lola) gets personalized attention, long walks in the country, daily pictures, home made chicken broth mixed with her kibble and sleep induced snuggling in the owners bed. Lola even comes back smelling clean! Happy Paws is a happy place for your dog.
The best thing about Puget Hounds is that my dearest dog, Jake, loves to go there. He gets his hugs and love from the lovely people who work there. He has his regular dog friends. It is a second home to him. He is safe, he is fed to my directions. It is a great place for a dog and a great business to work with for a dog’s owner.
My dog Mady seems to love all of your staff. I believe that he has a good time playing with the other dogs. I was so impressed with Amber on your staff. I am handicapped and I was fearful that my dog could get out when someone opened the front dog if he was not tight on his leash. Amber helped me put his leash and harness on. She was so thoughtful and kind. Mady is only ten months old. He is a lot for me to handle with my osteoarthritis, but no one could love him more dearly and give him a better home than me. He needs the socialization at Puget Hound that I cannot give him at home.
Earlier this year we got our pup Luna signed up. She loves going to daycare! She has made great friends and it always excited when we drop her off. She comes home tired from a day full of play. The staff are very friendly.

It was unnerving sending my fur-baby off to daycare for the first time, but the staff at Puget Hound have been very responsive to any questions or concerns that come up. Bandit has been going to Puget for over two years now. Not only does it give him an opportunity to run and play all day, it gives him time to interact with the other pups, which is a good thing for him. The staff are great. They clean him up on the wet days, and the always have him ready when it's time to go home. Having him somewhere that they show they care about him as much as we do is important.
Puget hound has been such a god send for me! I work from home and am always looking for an opportunity to get my little Rosie the chance to play while I’m typing away. My dog Monty absolutely loves it here! He can't wait to go "play with doggies" as I tell him! The staff is so helpful, attentive, and really love the dogs, and you can really tell the dogs are having fun too. I love that he gets indoor and outdoor play time and comes home tired at the end of the day. I haven't used their boarding yet, but I would feel totally safe leaving Monty with The Puget Hound for any length of time. As a very protective dog parent, having someplace that I can safely leave my pup for the day while I run errands, work, or do whatever needs to be done is priceless. I'm so happy I found Puget Hound and recommend them to anyone!!

Roxanne took great care of our Coonhound, Rosie during multiple overnight and day care stays. She is a welcoming and adoring person and clearly loves the pups she cares for. I felt at ease on a long trip knowing that Rosie was in a caring environment that allowed her to sleep on couches, interact with other dogs in a large, open facility and have attentive caretakers. Roxie sent photos of Rosie and kept us abreast of her activity while we were away. During COVID restrictions, she makes online reservations simple and curbside drop-off/pick-up an ease. I wish there was a facility like this everywhere we’ve lived! I would recommend Roxanne and Fidoggo highly to any friends or family in the Anacortes area.
Roxy is awesome! When we first brought Tug to stay with Roxy, she showed incredible care in integrating Tug with the pack she maintains. Roxy is a "dog whisperer" who can clearly read the temperment and personality of dogs. Like most dog owners, we are unreasonably attached to our dog and leave him in the hands of others with great trepidation. For Tug, I am convinced, a trip to Roxy's is like a stay at summer camp. If you are looking for a place to board your pup for a while, I don't think you can do much better.
I hate leaving my anxious dog Gracie when we go on vacation and am reluctant to leave her at a kennel because it makes her anxiety worse. When I came across FiDoggo in a web search I felt it would be perfect for my pup! It's more of a homestay than a kennel, but you still get the professionalism and assurance that your dog won't be alone. Roxy eased Gracie into the experience with day care so when the day came to board, she wouldn't be so nervous. During vacation Roxy kept in touch with photos and updates. When we came back Gracie looked healthy and happy. It was a success! We'll definitely be using FiDoggo again.
I was lucky enough to stumble upon Roxanne a couple of months ago and she is the dog sitter of choice from here on out. She only has about 4-5 dogs at a time and operates out of her home, which is ideal for my dog who spends most of his afternoon at home and isn't the most social of pets. She has been accommodating and communicative. Couldn't ask for better. Also! test of tests, we saw her at the dog park, and when my dog saw her he ran up, tail wagging to say hello :)
I can’t say enough great things about Roxanne. I take my senior dog to her 5 days a week. She is so patient and attentive to all his sweet old dog needs. She and Larry are such nice people to interact with and the doggie accommodations are very nice. She cares about every dog there and it shows.

Totally Tails Pet Care Services has provided excellent, caring and reliable dog walking/pet care five days a week for the last year for our two Golden Retrievers (our dogs are now one year old and nine years old). Our family is so impressed with the level of service and professionalism provided by Totally Tails Pet Care! I highly recommend them! The daily pictures of our pets, which they email us, are just the best. It is so reassuring to know that our furry family members are well cared for while we are at work.
I hired Totally Tails to watch after my 2 dogs while I was on vacation in Hawaii. I knew I didn’t want to kennel them, so I was excited about someone coming to my home to feed, exercise, and care for my pups. Not only do they do a fantastic job of exercising the dogs they sent DAILY photos and follow-ups of their health and progress. These reports made me feel very comfortable with Totally Tails. They also rotated indoor lighting so as to give the impression that someone is always home. Superb service! Beats kenneling when your pups are in their home environment. I will contract with them again!

This was the best pet care service we have ever experienced. An excellent value. The daily 30-minute visit was packed with focused attention to our cat's specific needs: food, medication, daily litter box cleaning, brushing, play time with treats, supervised outdoor deck time (indoor cat), and loving lap petting time. We received a daily review with pictures that served as both comfort and joy to us while we were away. Absolutely reliable. Knowledgeable about animal care. Loving and attentive. Professional. Responsible. Attentive to detail. Michele made sure we provided for unanticipated problems prior to leaving so our bases were covered in any event. THE BEST. We came home to a calm, happy, well cared for cat.
As fellow pet care providers we are quite picky who we leave our pack with should we go out of town. Ramona took care of a large zoo of animals (game birds, fish, Guinea pigs, and dogs). Her updates were thorough, and we came home to a clean house and happy animals. If you need a professional you can trust, you've found one here. Part of why we never leave town is not having had anyone we felt comfortable leaving them with, but now we do!
I love Michelle! We trust her implicitly with our dog and home. She goes above and beyond by bringing in our trash cans and packages when she's at our home for a dog visit. She sends us texts and pictures of our dog so we know she's taken care of. And she insists you text her that you're back home so she's assured your pet is safe. That's excellent care! Camano Pet Sitters hav been taking care of my two Springer Spaniels for the last 2 years and I couldn't be happier. I was stressed, four sorta feral cats and I had to take a trip. My vet said boarding was a bad idea because none of them would adjust well - in addition to being expensive. Camano Pet Sitters to the rescue! Not only did they do a professional job I think they made headway with my cats who were actually peeking out at them by the end of the week. I cannot recommend Camano Pet Sitters highly enough - they are now my go to folks when I have to travel. My neighbors, who travel regularly, were so impressed by the level of professionalism and caring my pets received they will be switching to Camano Pet Sitters.
I have been taking my dog to Rover Stay Over for about a year and a half. We typically do the premium bigs lodging. The premium option has her play with other dogs in group play for most of the day! The staff will sometimes send us photos of all the fun she is having. Every time I drop my dog off she is very excited to be at Rover Stay Over. When I pick her up she is tired for a day or two. I am very happy that my dog is in a safe environment and enjoys her time so much! The staff is very friendly as well.
I was staying in the Lyden area camping and needing an overnight facilty for my dog because we had to go fishing VERY early. I contacted Rover Stay Over and set-up a reservation. Even being from out of town, they were able to take my dog because I had all the appropriate vaccine information, etc. Bailey had a great time and was one tired pup when I picked him up. Rover took great care of our 5 dogs when we were out of town. They returned home tired and happy from all the play. Rover sent us photos so we could see they each felt confident and cared for. We will definitely use Rover again.
Rover Stay Over was able to get my dog in for a 6 day “emergency” when my regular boarder went on vacation. The facility is clean and professional. The staff clearly LOVES the dogs (I got to hear them talk to other pet parents - it wasn’t just me). I loved the report card and photos so I knew Charlie was having a great time. I’m definitely going to be a regular!!!
I was looking for a new place to groom our 2 year old cockapoo. It was suggested for me to bring him to Rover stay over for grooming, which I didn’t know they had grooming options. I was very happy to find that our dog was groomed to exactly how I had asked and was treated with care and love. Plus, the price was completely reasonable and very much within my budget. I will definitely come here again!
Our dog loves going to Rover Stay Over for their daycare playgroup! Her excitement shows when we drop her off. She gets to run off leash and play with other dogs in a fenced, supervised area, which is so good for her. The staff there is friendly and experienced. We’ve also boarded our dog there from one to several days and are happy with that experience too.
We love taking our doggos to Rover Stay Over. The dogs are super excited to get there, practically singing with glee when they see we are slowing to turn into the driveway. The staff clearly love all their charges and we love them back. The only gripe we have is regarding overnight boarding policy that if you leave your dog after 11am on the pick up day they will charge for another day of boarding rather than a day of daycare. This is a new change this year, which is why it is why I mention it. We have learned how to work with this, but we preferred the way they did it before. Thank you for being in the community and making our dogs so happy !
Our pup came home very ill with some respiratory infection, lethargic, not eating. He could barely keep his eyes open. They told us this 2 days before I picked him up early- and only because I called and inquired how he was. Only one report card after a couple days and then several days went by with no communication. I had to call and ask for one, and then they said he was coughing and they would " keep an eye on him." Said he also wasnt eating. Seems they should have realized he was getting really ill.He's been home 24 hours and looks very sick- going to vet first thing tomorrow. They need to do much better with observation, and communication potential issues. Not recommended at all. My dog was a healthy 8 month old when he went in. I'm quite concerned now.
We love Rover Stay Over and have left our dog, Briggs, in their care for many years. We love picking him up freshly bathed in his adorable bandana, exhausted, happy, and healthy.
Terrible place... If i could have given less than 1 star, I would have. We boarded our dog on the 19th Dec and picked her up on the 23rd. We had already informed the team that she is not good with all dogs. They assured us they would try slow introductions and if it doesn't work out she would get individual playtime/walks (for which we obviously had prepaid extra). The day we pick her up she was a different dog completely. Her usually happy behaviors were all gone. We thought may be she was just very well tired out and needed some time to recover. We asked at the reception how the boarding went and they assured us that she had a perfect score and it went all fine. Our interaction there with our dog was just receive her from the staff there, put her in the car and immediately drive back home. As soon as she reached home we notice a huge and deep gash on her bum with blood pooling inside. We immediately call CCCC and whoever picked up says oh yes she got into an altercation with a dog on the 20th and had been bitten by that dog. They apparently checked her for injuries. Mind you, this was the 23rd when we had picked her up. My poor dog did not get any medical attention for 2 whole days. And if we would have left her there any longer she would not have gotten any attention for that entire time as well. She could have had sepsis and things could have taken an awfully wrong turn. I beleive the staff at CCCC is not to be trusted. They did not even care to notice a huge gash on our dog. She is a malamute and she has a lot of fur, but that wound was so easily visible that unless they interacted with their eyes closed, there is no chance a person would miss noticing that wound. I also noticed someone in the reviews mentioning that only half the food of what might have been measured was fed to the dogs. I noticed that too as well. I stronly urge CCCC to hire competent staff, because this is beyond outrageous.
Took my perfectly healthy happy dog there, he was there for two nights and now he is not the same dog I dropped off. He's skinny, they only gave him half the amount of food I sent with him that I had measured out prior to bringing him. And he came out limping and they said nothing about it when I asked them about it they acted like he got it on the walk out then claimed it was from being in the water at play time. We live by a river that he swims in everyday so that’s certainly not what happened, his entire paw is swollen and he can’t even step on it. He looks and acts absolutely traumatized and malnourished. I never leave reviews like this but when it comes to what I consider my child I will prevent it from happening to someone else’s. Will be hiring a pet sitter next time.
We were so nervous to board our 2-year-old bubs for the first time. We had never been away from them. The staff is so wonderful, so kind and patient with us when we called every morning to check on them. Our boys loved it there, they were able to socialize and play with other dogs and we will be taking them there for daycare. Such a great place to take our dogs with peace of mind that they are adored and cared for so well.
My dog seemed to love it and was very happy dropping off and when I picked him up. And they didn't seem bothered at all when I called to check up on him Update: it's been almost two years since I brought my dogs in! They stayed for 7 days this time! My one dog is very skittish and not a people lover. They both did great! They seemed to be well taken care of! They did walks everyday and I was able to call for updates. I had a fantastic experience at Canine Country Club and Cattery during my first visit! The staff was friendly and genuinely cared for my dog, making us feel completely at ease. The facility was clean and well-organized. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliable and caring dog daycare!
I have used canine country club a few different times and I have always been happy with their service. The pups seem to be excited when we drop them off and they are always happy and normal when they come home. Highly recommend. Good pricing too. I like that they offer walks and play time.
Been going here for years! Took my pup there for a weekend, no worries about him...I think I needed a kennel too. They treat my dogs like gold!!
Phenomenal group of folks here. Our dog Nakita now gets so excited when she's realizing where she's going! They take care to report on anything that occurs during the stay which just lends to a peace of mind you won't get anywhere else. And when Nakita sees any of the staff she's instantly happy and excited to see them. Ten stars if I could!

Very nice people. My dog loves coming here and is always excited to go. Rates are good, and I feel they take good care of my dog. Hours could be longer but are adequate to work an 8 hour day with an hour commute each way.
Vanessa has taken care of our dogs several times while we've been traveling, and she has always done a great job. Our dogs adore her! She is professional and strikes me as someone who is very trustworthy. The daily text check-ins with photos of the dogs are the cherry on top. I'm happy to have found someone reliable to look after our pets. I would whole-heartedly recommend Vanessa to anyone in need of pet care.
My experience with Vanessa was exceptional. She helped my dog with past trauma and anxiety come around to walking on the leash and opening up to new people! We had such positive experiences with Vanessa. She stayed with our dogs a few times while we traveled. She is extremely professional. She always stayed in touch with comments and pictures of our dogs. When my husband fell and broke 5 ribs, she went out of her way on short notice to come exercise our 2 labs while I had to care for him. I could not ask for a better experience. She is extremely trustworthy and respectful of your space if she stays over night to care for your animals. Do not hesitate to hire her. You will not be disappointed.
Vanessa provided me the utmost peace of mind when caring for the animals that mean the most to me in the world. Vanessa was amazing with my dog, helping with training, exercise, behavioral management, and overnights with responsive enthusiasm for the work that she put in. She always took incredibly photogenic pictures of my little buddy out there having a blast when I was stuck at work on rainy days. The staff was very welcoming. I have never boarded my dog before and the moment I walked in everyone was giving my girl so much love and attention I felt at ease. It’s very clean I lover pulling up to the red barn and green fields. This is a very comfortable space.
Writing this review to hopefully help others because we were completely blindsided. THIS PLACE IS FAR FROM A RESORT!!! I did some research and Dogwood came recommended by others in the area. Looking at their website, I didn’t think it would be a traditional kennel, and that’s what they advertise. We went for a tour and I was appalled. I guess I didn’t do enough research because after reading some other reviews just now, I likely would have never set foot in this facility. Just looking at this the owner has responded to some negative reviews is very telling. I can’t imagine how these employees treat the pets staying here. First, the staff member who led the tour was far from friendly. She didn’t seem like someone who would give my dog any love or attention. If you go to the website and read the history, you’ll see that they opened this business to not be like other kennels. They state “some kennels are dark, windowless buildings with poor ventilation, cold floors, and low ceilings.” Upon entering the kennel, everything about that statement was true about Dogwood. The smell of urine could be smelt through a mask. The kennel area was extremely claustrophobic. Sure there are a few windows way up high, but overall it was dark and felt like a depressing animal shelter. They only let your dog out of the kennel twice a day for ten minutes. If you would like your dog to be let out more, you can pay to do so. Reading other reviews, this place charges for every little “upgrade” that seem like normal parts of our dog’s lives. To me, it was clear this place was just there to make money. I didn’t get the sense from the atmosphere or the employee that they would care at all for my dog. If you are looking for a place that would love and care for your dog, save yourself the time and don’t bother with Dogwood.
Deserve zero stars. Picked my dogs up after 4 days of boarding. They handed me back over 3/4 of the food I had given them. My smaller dog's face looked sunken in. Took them home bathed them then weighed them. Smaller dog had lost 10# and larger dog had lost 8#. They claimed they fed them twice per day, impossible considering how much food was returned and weight loss. Gave them enough food for those 4 days and like I said over 3/4 was returned. I've read other reviews that state they only let the boarded dogs out twice per day. After this stay I would wager a bet that they only see them once per day period. Feed them, let them out and see-ya tomorrow. I have large dogs that require 4 cups of food per day and they were given closer to 1.5 cups per day. If you love your dogs do NOT leave them in their care.
So clean and a great talented staff. They really know what they're doing here and your dogs and cats will be well taken care of, highly recommended!!
I used the Dogwood for years when I lived on Whidbey Island. This place is truly special and provides amazing care for furry friends. Every time I'd round the corner and head down the street toward the Dogwood my dog would get so excited! He absolutely loved it there. He required multiple medications and treatments and the staff always made sure he was well taken care of. He always came home exhausted and happy. Thank you to everyone at the Dogwood (especially you, Colleen) who made the time my friend spent on the island magical. He has since passed over the rainbow bridge but I am happy he was able to spend so many wonderful years visiting this place. Thank you to all the staff who make this place what it is.
We’ve been taking our sweet Stormy girl to Dogwood about every other month for the past six months for 5-10 days at a time. She’s had the best of time there. She’s always excited when we pull up and they are always happy to greet her when she comes in. Everything has been very straight forward and our dog has been very well cared for. This is a big deal not only to myself but my kids to knowing that she’s in good hands!♥️
Please reconsider taking ANY pet here!!! You may have the belief your pet will be safe, happy and well cared for, but that couldn't be further from the truth!! These animals are left unattended in cement cages for 14 hours a day, 5PM to 8AM. They may get an outside break for a total of 20 minutes a day, at times this doesn't happen as the staff may "run out of time" keep in mind they will NEVER miss a smoke break. There is constant barking and loud noises throughout the day, aggressive dogs are not muzzled and certain dogs who are visibly shaking are not given extra attention or care for their fear and anxiety. Additionally, when a well intending person pays extra $ for their pet to receive extra playtime, it will be too much of a burden for the staff, yet it gets marked down as a provided service. Please consider leaving your dog in its known environment and hire a person to check on and actually care for your pet. I have personally used WAG before and I have had great success.
I should have read more of these reviews. We took our pup there twice to be socialized, both times he came home stressed and nauseous not having spent any time with other dogs and the excuse of "maybe next time." I want to believe they are spending time with my pup but suspect he's spending the day stressing in a kennel, taken out only occasionally to relieve himself. There won't be a "maybe next time." Not a good fit for us and if you want your dog socialized I recomend you look elsewhere as well.
