It was a delight having Vanessa looking after our Siamese cat Mairie during our week's holiday abroad. Unfortunately, Siim was unable to come because of passport issues. Vanessa's steady demeanour and natural affinity with animals provided a firm foundation for looking after both house and cat. She sent at least one cat photo and message each day so my wife and I were able to completely relax during our holiday knowing that all was well "back home". And the house was in good order on our return. Thank you, Vanessa.
Hanna is an absolutely adorable dog to sit. She was such a delight to walk in the beautiful cycle paths around the village. Elizabeth and John are perfect hosts and communication was excellent. I would highly recommend sitting for Hanna.
Chilli & Ella left a mark on our hearts! As with all Spaniels, they crave human companionship, and love to be wherever you are. We found it especially funny in the mornings when first opening the garden doors, watching the two of them run out at a million miles per hour, bumping into each other like true crazy Spaniels! Although Ella is 15, she has a surprising amount of energy and keeps up on walks - they are both very well behaved on and off lead. Ella particularly loved swimming & Chilli is quite content catching a ball or stick a million times over! Chilli is a little powerhouse and when you can catch her during a moment of calmness she gives the sweetest cuddles. They are both very loyal, sweet natured dogs and we loved every minute with them! The house and garden is gorgeous and we felt truly relaxed here. Thank you Caroline & we hope to sit again :)
I have now enjoyed two stays in York. If the notion of staying in a delightful “arts and crafts” period property with an enclosed garden in easy walking distance to the centre of the wonderful historic city of York and its riverside walks is appealing, then this is a great place to be. Communication was easy from the start, Jean provided a very helpful and comprehensive welcome pack and particular guidance and observations on the different needs of the faithful old lady Megan and the boisterous and scatty Samba ( she is a cockapoo after all). The house is a pleasure of design and decor and has all amenities you might require. Jean and Richard gave a warm and friendly reception and were very accommodating and easy to deal with. A very good house sit.
Our housesit in Milton Keynes was delightful. Gill was very kind and welcoming. She made us a lovely dinner the evening we arrived and showed us around Simpson so we could get our bearings, which was very thoughtful. She also provided some groceries to help us get started which was very generous and much appreciated. Gill's house is a tidy, warm, comfortable home. It is also in an ideal location for exploring around the Milton Keynes area. We especially enjoyed our visits to Bletchley Park Code breakers museum. Her cat, Tascha was no trouble at all. She warmed to us from the start and enjoyed being petted and made a fuss over. She was so sweet we really do miss her. Altogether, this sit is one we would definitely highly recommend to other sitters.
Oliver and May were great communicators and left me detailed information and instructions. It was also clear that they wanted me to enjoy myself and have a good stay. The doggies were just so sweet. Each with their own unique personality. It was fun hanging out with them. I also appreciated how well trained they were and that they knew their schedule! The home was lovely and comfortable and had some great views. It is 10-15 minutes from all the modern conveniences and yet feels quite removed from it all. I enjoyed all the night sound from the patio in the evening. An enjoyable sit!
I had a lovely experience looking after Fibo, it took him sometime to warm up. But otherwise he’s the sweetest, yet slightly grumpy kitty. Communication with Carla was easy, and she made me feel comfortable in her home. Would definitely recommend!
