Alastair and Gabz were great house sitters for our cats, who are usually super shy but came out of their shells for cuddles during the stay - Alastair and Gabz must have the magic touch! They were very organised and lovely when coming to the house, making us feel at ease immediately. They kept in contact and sent pictures of the cats and we came home to a very tidy house! I cannot recommend Miri and Leo highly enough. I was away for over 3 weeks and they were brilliant. They arrived the evening before so we could have a relaxed evening together for them to get to meet Elvis and Tina (two cats) without the rush of arrival and departure. They were everything I gave 5 stars for, and much more. Their communication was excellent – before, during and after the sit - and I was treated with videos and photos every day I was away (made me very happy). They built little play houses for the cats to play in and a fun ‘obstacle course’ over and through boxes, which were clearly a hit as the kitties take me to their play room every evening now to play. I came home to a clean and tidy home, with sheets and towels washed, with a gorgeous loaf of homemade sourdough bread and homemade jam waiting for me in the kitchen, and with vases of flowers from the garden decorating the rooms. Wonderful. But more than all of this, what was special about Leo and Miri was how they cared for Elvis when he had a problem with one of his eyes. They contacted me immediately, and also my vet, and then took care of him with great love and affection. My vet made two home visits (she is also amazing) and they arranged their schedules to accommodate hers. Really I could not ask for more. I came home to two very happy and healthy kitties, who might be a bit disappointed that I am not playing with them as much as Uncle Leo and Aunt Miri. I would love for Leo and Miri to return to Yew Tree Cottage and I know Elvis and Tina would be delighted, too. Thank you, Leo and Miri.
