Lesley and Jason were a pleasure to speak with during our initial communication of their sit. We had a great video call where everything was explained as to Tatu's needs. They even invited us to arrive the night before and share a dinner with them, which was lovely by the way! When we arrived Tatu was eager to say hello and take on our new smells! Lesley and Jason had said she was feeling a bit anxious leading up to the sit as she could sense they were going away, but they said once Tatu had met us she felt immediately calmer which was lovely to hear. We had a walk with Jason and Tatu and watched her go off to check all the rabbit burrows in the local field near their home! We admired the lovely views of Whaley Bridge and had a good chat with Jason to find out more about Tatu and their life story. They certainly have had an interesting life filled with adventures, pets and plenty of love! It was a pleasure to get to spend time with them and it was just a shame we didn't get to see them at the end as our trains were awkward with timings going to another sit. Tatu was a pleasure to care for, she loves her walks and took us all around Whaley Bridge. We stopped a few times at badger and rabbit burrows, but just to check if there was anything there (there wasn't as far as we could see or hear, but I'm sure Tatu would say otherwise!). She loved to chill out on her sofa in the conservatory in between walks and plenty of belly rubs/butt scratches! We genuinely miss her and felt sad when we left. Lesley and Jason's house is amazing with phenomenal views of the surrounding area of Whaley Bridge. It's close to local amenities, but set on a very quiet street. It's also a stones throw away from the High Peak Canal where we managed to cycle all the way along it to Manchester, Marple is a lovely stop whether you are a canal enthusiast or not. Overall we would highly recommend this sit and we hope to return soon and have more time with Lesley, Jason and Tatu!
I am delighted to have spent 6 days with the wee Munro. I was working remotely there and he was a fantastic supervisor and welcome company to my busy schedule. Munro warmed to me immediately and we had great fun exploring Leith and the surrounding areas. He is full of character and took me on his favorite walks. I loved Abby and Steve's apartment - super location, beautifully decorated, and it has a great energy. Would highly recommend a stay there with Munro.
Coby was an absolute dream of a companion and was up for any adventure. We took him shopping, out to pubs, to the beach and even on the train and he loved it all. The photos of Fiona and Tim's house don't do it justice. The gardens are straight out of a fairy tale and the house has every possible comfort and some you hadn't even thought of. We were sad to leave and would return in a heartbeat. Thanks so much Fiona and Tim for sharing Coby and your home with us!
Our experience with Tilly was wonderful, she is lovely, she easily wins your love. Jonette and Mark are excellent hosts, always attentive and concerned about our comfort and good stay in their beautiful home. We made a nice friendship with everyone in the family, we are very grateful.
Our time at Andrea’s and Christian’s condo was just remarkable. We had a short introduction at their place before we accomplished our week-long sit and felt welcomed from the first moment. The communication with Andrea was easy, and she was getting back to us quickly. Sabi was truly chilled and enjoyed her routine of doing three walks each day and eating her breakfast and dinner on time. She is an adorable and easygoing dog. The view from the balcony was delightful, the bedroom was so comfortable, and the condo was clean and cozy—the perfect place for relaxing winter days. We can highly recommend Andrea’s and Christian’s place in Vancouver and would always come back. Thanks for putting your trust in us.
We appreciate all the thought that Jean has put into her home. We went through the house with Jean prior to our sit which was really helpful. When we arrived she had everything printed out which made for a quick reference should we have any questions. Of the three kitties, Esmeralda was the most open to having us in her space. She received all of the physical attention because Oreja and Tortuga wanted nothing to do with us. Oreja and Tortuga were warming to us a little before we left, but were happy doing their own thing. Normal Heights and Kensington are very walkable communities with lots to do. There are some great restaurants in both areas and the little movie theater in Kensington is a treasure. We enjoyed our time in Jean's home and would recommend the sit.
