There are truly no words to express how absolutely amazing this sit was. Everyday felt like paradise and is noted as my favorite sit- one that will be very difficult to beat! Rose is a gem and I had no problems communicating with her during my stay. She was thorough with the details of the watering schedule among other responsibilities on the hobby farm. Waking up every morning to water the garden and flowers and take in all of the beauty she has created on their property was a real treat. During the walk, I would collect berries to eat for breakfast along with fresh eggs from the chickens. Her dog, Hadrian, became my best friend and he was always eager to join me on my walks around the property and always ready to play. Super friendly and a true joy to be around. Her other dog, Kiva, is a real sweetheart. She is on guard when you first meet her but within a few days she joined in on the walks and would even roll over so I could scratch her belly. Winning her affection was a delight. I loved seeing the outdoor cats run around and play in the vineyard along with making my rounds to say hi to the goats and chickens. The weather was rather hot so having a pool to jump into was an added bonus! And I can't leave out Timone- the indoor cat. Such a sweetie and very social. Always a joy to have around. I can't recommend this sit enough! I truly cannot wait to go back. The connections I made with the animals and homeowners is something that cannot be replaced. Forever grateful.
We had the great pleasure to housesit for Simone, Oliver and family and to look after their two adorable White Swiss Shepherds, Enzo and Dino. We were warmly greeted by the family and the doggies and made to feel at home straight away. Simone and Anais, their charming daughter, prepared a delicious supper, whilst Oliver offered us an endless supply of his excellent home brewed beverages of lager, stout and gin!! Needless to say it was a jolly evening !! Dino and Enzo are the most intelligent and sweet natured boys. They thoroughly enjoyed their short bursts of training and playing games in the large garden and were content and happy to settle by us in the evening. Despite their size, they were relatively easy to manage on walks. The house is spacious and comfortable and the large garden offers spectacular views of the Wiltshire countryside. Marlborough high street is walking distance away and we enjoyed the variety it offered. We can highly recommend this sit. We felt honored to experience, and enjoy the company of these amazing dogs. I had a lovely stay at Theresa and Sue’s flat. Frankie, Jack and Percy are adorable cats and easy to manage. Percy has an independent spirit but at the same time he loves to play and be caressed. Frankie is so lovely and cute and she was following me everywhere. Jack is the shy one, but in the morning he was jumping on bed and ask me for pampering. Theresa and Sue made me feel completely comfortable and taken care to provide all the necessary details of the animals, the home and the area. Furthermore, they have been available for answering to any questions during my staying. The flat is so peaceful and easy to get in from the from the city center. I would definitely recommend this sit to anyone.
Winnie was such a joy to look after! She liked to keep to herself and nap during the day, then come out around dinner time to hang out with us or do some sightseeing by the windowsill for the rest of the night. Once she got comfortable she also loved sleeping on the bed with us. She’s a gorgeous cat and we had so much fun spending time with her while Gretchen and Luke were away. The flat itself is beautiful, tidy and well kept. In addition to the main bedroom, there’s also an office with a pull out bed. The flat has everything you need - fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, cleaning supplies, WiFi, streaming services on the TV (Netflix, Prime, iTVX), etc. The flat is in a very nice and safe area, and only a few mins walk to the tube station with easy access to central London. Gretchen and Luke were always prompt with replying to our messages, both on TrustedHousesitters and WhatsApp. Prior to the petsit, Gretchen did an in-person keys handover, showed me where everything in the flat was, and left us handwritten reminders and notes around the flat. These were so informative and ensured the entire petsit/housesit go smoothly. They are lovely people and would recommend petsitting for them. Thank you so much again for letting us look after Winnie and your home!
We spent a lovely weekend in Ann-Marie and Derek's comfortable farmhouse looking after Bertie and Luna. The weather was cold and rainy so we unfortunately didn't get the chance to explore the nearby walks with the dogs.
Lesley's place in San Jose is very comfortable - it's really luxury living, with a host of amazing restaurants at hand. It's a short walk to the local Safeway, and easy to get on the 280 to head to SF. It was quite easy taking care of the dogs, even with one of them being a young pup that needed a lot of attention!
