Sitting for Amy & Birdie was a great experience. Amy was great at communicating with me about the sit & when plans changed. She was also very flexible with my schedule, which I greatly appreciated. Amy and her family were a delight to meet and very welcoming. Their home is nice and cozy. I enjoyed sitting outside on the deck at night with a view of the mountains. The neighborhood is also very lovely to walk around, with friendly neighbors, and mature greenery. It's also a very quiet and breezy in the evenings. The beaches are about 2 miles away. It is a great place to relax and get puppy cuddles. Birdie, their French bulldog is such a sweetheart. After her initial hyped up to meet me dance, she was very chill, loving, and cuddly. She did great following my lead! She is one of the most chill dogs I've ever encountered.
Richard and Jane are very nice couple who made us feel very welcome. Dinner was ready for us after the day-long drive and the bed was made. We had a pleasant evening with them. Tabby is a very friendly cat who likes to be with you. The spacious and comfortable home is set in a very quiet area. You can watch lots of birds from your breakfast table. There are lots of things to do in the neighbourhood about which much information was available for us. A sit we can truly recommend and we would love to go there again someday.
Sue and Alan were a lovely couple who made me feel most welcome, even taking me out for a nice meal after my two week stay. There home is in a wonderful location, with far reaching views across the estuary to the folley on the hill at Powderham Castle and Dawlish etc. Lovely just sitting out admirinmg the views or watching the sunset. The pets were all an absolute delight and both dogs and cats would all clamour for attention, especially when sat in the evenings. The dogs were real characters and Harry certainly became excited and let you know he was eager for a walk, whereas Jack being fifteen, kind of gave you that look of must I? He did come out most times and there was a very good park not far away for short walks but sometimes I did take just Harry for longer, faster walks, where we explored the Exe Trail, or walked along the esplanade and beach, or through the Maer and up to Orcombe Point and along the coast to Sandy Bay. Just so many places to walk and plenty of beach to explore at low tide. It was just the perfect location, with very good company and I would not hesitate to sit again. Definitely highly recommended. Thank you for my very enjoyable stay.
Fantastic Housesit opportunity! Amy and Mike were welcoming and great communicators! House was spotless and beautiful! Absolutely the best location in downtown Boulder and Eggroll ( the cat ) is fun, adorable, and affectionate. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity!
What a great stay! Covid got in the way at first but Sarah was really understanding and accommodating. She was an awesome host & provided me with a lot of helpful information. The apartment also was really comfy & in a nice neighborhood close to nature but also close to the center of Zurich. Gogo the cat is the cutest!!🐱 He’s a very social cat who loves being around you and have playing sessions. He will also just cuddle up with you and enjoy your presence. All in all I loved my stay at Sarah’s flat & would absolutely recommend it!
I had a really wonderful stay at Dan and Jennie’s beautiful house looking after Joy. The house is so spacious, light and peaceful and having a big garden and a hot tub made my stay so relaxing. The house is 15 min from Esher railway station and 5 min to the nearest bus stop, where you can get a bus to either Esher, Thames Ditton, Surbiton or Kingston very easily, where you can find good supermarkets, coffee shops, stores and restaurants and the river Thames. Joy is a beautiful soft natured Greyhound who likes to sleep a lot but who usually wants to go out for a walk in the afternoon to the golf courses nearby, where she will take her time wandering along the footpath and watching the world go by. She was great company and once she got to know me, she rolled over onto her back when she saw me coming for endless tummy tickles and strokes, and lots of affection. She was a Joy to be with! I was in regular contact with Dan who was always on hand to help answer any questions and gave me helpful advice about Joy and making her as comfortable as possible while they were away. I highly recommend house sitting for Dan and Jennie and Joy!

Sven and Lyndsey did a fantastic job of looking after my elderly cat, Rueben. When we got home I could tell straight away that he had been well cared for, he was very happy and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble for them, giving my cat his medications, giving him lots of fuss and letting him play outdoors for a bit as well as watering our garden every day! Communication was brilliant, highly recommend!
Amazing service-and genuine care. Lindsay and Sven made us feel so comfortable going away. It’s not easy to leave them-but having met with several services, they bowled us over. When they look after them, I think our cats get more love when they look after us than us!!! Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Lindsay and Sven really love animals of all descriptions. They have looked after my Shih Tzu on a number of occasions and have even taken him away with the for a weekend. They have taught him how to negotiate steps which was always a problem for me. I have no hesitation in recommending their services especially when they can look after other small animals at the same time (carrying sugar gliders in a waist pouch). How good is that!
Sven and Lindsay have just finished their second stint of looking after our dogs at our house. They are outstanding. The kindness and thoughtfulness is always greatly appreciated. The peace of mind knowing your pets are safe and happy is priceless.

Laurel grange is a fantastic kennel, run by fantastic people. My dog is actively excited to be there when we arrive and can't wait to go see the staff and play. Talking to Emily, you can tell that she really cares and looks after your pets while they're there. Facilities are excellent, location is beautiful. It's a steal for the quality of petrol care you get here.
Emily and the team are amazing! They took such great care of Domino and Darwin. We’ve only left them at a kennels once before and we were a bit nervous of trying a different kennels but I’m so glad we did!! Emily made us feel so as ease when we dropped them off and we left knowing that our dogs were in safe hands. Amazing kennels which are newly built and Emily and her team do an amazing job looking after my Whippet when he stays there. They keep us up to date with videos and texts which gives me peace of mind that he is enjoying himself. There are really large paddocks with high fencing around which means the dogs can run and play and they are let off in there several times a day. I would not put my dog anywhere else when I go away. I've just picked him up from a 2 week stay and he was so relaxed, pleased to see us but am sure if he could, he would be booking himself back in there for another holiday pretty soon! I always get Emily to give him a pamper groom for when we pick him up and he smells amazing, well worth it. Thanks Emily and Team!!

Our boys 2 spaniels went into kennels for the first time. They were so welcoming and informative as to how Billy and Stanley would be cared for. We had updates by phone and videos of them playing. She has cared for our dog on a daily basis, picking up and dropping off on time always with a smile. Our dog is happy, content, well cared for and Carrie clearly adores all the dogs. We have 1 dalmatian who i wanted to socialise with other dogs and have someone i trust 100% to look after her. We came and met Carrie and Rolo and we knew this was perfect. Large safe and secure areas to run around. Converted stables to chill.outnin in the summer.or.with heatlamps and cosy blankets in the winter. This is ideal for me when I'm.working and then fact that Carrie.collects her and drops.off is perfect for us. The excitement Rolo shows on the day that doorbell rings is so funny shes so excited to go. I would have my precious girl.anywhere else.
I personally would avoid this company and find another dog walker if you can. Our dog is a rescue who was attacked by another dog in the past and therefore can be very protective and therefore funny with other dogs. Country Hounds walked her for nearly 2 years, however one recent Friday afternoon decided they could no longer walk her as she only gets on with certain other dogs and therefore couldn’t schedule her in anymore. This wouldn’t be a problem, however as a business the way they dealt with this was appalling. 1. After 2yrs of loyal custom and never being late on a payment, they didn’t even have common decency to call and discuss this on the phone. It was done via WhatsApp. Completely out the blue. 2. They never gave us the chance to find someone else and left us totally in the lurch. There was not even talk about offering to give us a week or so to find someone else. It was just a ‘see you later thanks for your business’ text. They told us at 4pm on a Friday. I find it hard to believe they hadn’t been thinking about it for some time. A ‘business’ should not be run like this. I would avoid this company at all costs. Their customer service is terrible and loyalty is clearly not a 2-way street. We’ve used various dog walkers for 7yrs+ and have never had a problem with any. Country Hounds are the worst we’ve used. Be warned, you will be dropped when it doesn’t suit them anymore, they definitely don’t care about their customers. Avoid it you can!
Fantastic Business
This is the first time our elderly cat has stayed in a Cattery. Helen was excellent very good communication. The Cattery was clean in a lovely (remote) location and Helen was very welcoming. Very happy with HMC Petcare and would certainly use them again. Good value for money too.
I always send my cat to HMC pet care when I am away. They are absolutely lovely and the facilities for each cat are wonderful. They treat my Mr Smokey as if he is one of his own and he always comes back to us calm and happy. It’s a real weight off our mind to put him somewhere he is happy and cared for. The team are flexible if we need to extend and very communicative. Can’t rate them highly enough.
Wonderful cattery! I was very nervous about finding the right place for my shy cat during her first few stays in a cattery. Helen is absolutely wonderful and really took the time to make my little fur baby feel comfortable and confident! Helen sends regular updates and it's been a huge relief to see how well she settled in, I know she is in good hands and well looked after when staying here!
We have just collected Lucky and Toby after a nine night stay at the cattery, they have come back happy and well cared for, both our cats are very anxious and the owner knew this but with the excellent care they received they soon felt like they were at home. This cattery and kennels was recommended to us by a family friend and we are so glad we picked HMC petcare and we will be using these for any future holidays we have. Thank you taking such good care of our fur babies.

We took our two dogs for a visit today to see how they would settle as a taster day before our holidays . They were very happy with Helen and the other dogs. Helen sent us a video of the dogs playing in the garden which was great reassurance. We were very impressed, Helen is great, and the home from home dog boarding experience was totally different to any kennels we've every experienced. We were very anxious about leaving our little cat Mouse as we've only had her 4 months but she was so chilled when we collected her,we took her home and she settled straight back in.She ate well once she'd settled in cattery, she had a lovely cabin,everywhere was clean,Mouse had all her own toys,blankets and beds.Highly recommend,Mouse will definitely be staying again
I have used HMC twice now & wouldn’t take my cats anywhere else. Even after a month away both of my girls came home settled. One is quite old & set in her ways (& a little nasty) but HMC take it in their stride. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
Excellent cattery with a variety of spaces to suit different cats needs. Cats are always well looked after when we pick them up and Julie is lovely and very accommodating, using our own supplied food and measuring it out for their meals. Having continued to use the cattery since I wrote this we are still very happy.

Just picked Poppy up today and I was worried about her in the heat and the thunderstorms; which she normally stresses about. She is great! Very happy. It was lovely to hear that she was given cool towels to keep her cool and how, in the thunderstorms when she didn’t go undercover, the owners moved her to a more sheltered area. The owners take a great deal of care and attention to all dog’s needs, moving them if necessary to find compatible ‘friends’ with other dogs. We first placed Poppy in this kennels as a puppy. She would not go in the heated part. It was very cold and I was surprised to hear that the owner had her in the house with him and his own puppy. We will only leave our dog here! Highly recommend it!
We have taken our rescue dog Maddie to this kennels for a few years now and that says a lot but actions speak louder than words! Maddie wags her tail and gets very excited as we pull onto the lead in road, she can’t wait to jump out and see Julie and the staff. She comes home very happy and sleeps for hours-very contented🐶😍. They are reliable, friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend

Just collected our cat Jethro after a few days away at lightwood, as usual he's had a great time with Julie and I'm sure he never really cares whether he comes home or not! The worst kennels we have ever used. They left our dogs walking harnesses on for 4 days. When he came home, he was dehydrated, hungry, and smelt awful. The kennels don't take cards and they were dismissive when we asked about where we could get cash locally. STAY AWAY,......

Our young Maltipoo was extremely nervous and was starting to become aggressive with us and visitors to our home. She was fearful of other dogs and stealing and resource guarding was starting to become a major problem. We think this was due to a negative boarding experience with a different company just after her first birthday. As a family with three young children this made us very nervous, and when she nipped one of the children we were very upset and worried about whether we would even be able to keep our dog as a family pet. We sent her on a four week residential training course with Wild Dog in the hope that something could be done… and she came back like a different dog. In the months that have passed, she has not displayed one sign of aggression, she is noticeably more relaxed and confident, and many people have commented on the change in her behaviour. She no longer steals or guards! Although she can sometimes still be cautious around bigger dogs, she likes to make friends and play with most dogs that she meets in the park - something we could never envisage before. She has since been back for a further boarding session when we went on holiday (where all of her previous training was reinforced!) and we are now planning to send her again in the summer when we are away. We can go on holiday relaxed, knowing that she is happy and in safe hands (and that she will return home behaving better than when she went)! We would not send her anywhere else. We couldn’t be happier with the service from Wild Dog. The fact that we have the telephone number saved in our phones as ‘the dog whisperers’ says it all…
Me and my partner was looking for a training for our gsd. Everywhere we went to we just didn’t feel comfortable leaving her. That was until we found The Wild Dog they walked us through everything and made us feel safe and happy leaving her there for her training. We took Isla into training as she has got very bad anxiety towards people and is very scared of people coming near her. Isla’s trainer sent us over daily doggy photos and videos of her progress. We couldn’t believe how much she had improved since being with her trainer. Our trainer explaining everything she was doing to help Isla. Since Isla has gone to the wild dog it has changed our lives. She has become a lot more confident with approaching people they have trained Isla to be the dog we thought we would never have. Isla’s trainer has got a special place in our hearts and in Isla’s too.
We sent our golden retriever, Ritchie, to The Wild Dog for a 3 week board and train. We sent him when he was about 1 years old and totally crazy. He had so much energy: was jumping on everyone, pulling hard on the lead etc. When we got him back 3 weeks later he was such a better mannered dog. He could control himself. I could enjoy taking him on walks. And best of all, he still had his lovely personality!

Really disappointed with Rachel’s comms. Also wanted 50% of the booking four months in advance “£200” and the balance paying before your we started our dogs boarding. We would have payed however 1wk after our meet and greet with Rachel she decided to give our dates (agreed) to another boarder without the courtesy of enquiring weather or not we would like continue with our booking. This in my opinion is poor business practice.
It gives me no pleasure to write this review as we've used this service quite a few times before but have recently been let down very badly. Coming out of lockdown we had 4 bookings to cover weddings, big birthdays and a holiday. Not long before the first booking we discovered by chance that our dog would be left for 2 hours in a cage in the van in a car park several days a week whilst the business owner was running training classes nearby. We were really concerned about this as it doesn't seem right. We wouldn't ever leave our dog in a cage in a vehicle. When we politely queried this, and asked if our dog could at least be outside, the business owner was very defensive and unilaterally cancelled all of our bookings. We feel we had legitimate concerns about our dog's welfare but the business owner's response was basically well, that's the way it is. This unilateral cancellation has caused, and is continuing to cause, us so much stress and worry trying to find an alternative. At such short notice we had to take our dog with us on a 10-hour car journey (which she hates) to a wedding and leave her at an unknown day boarders there. We literally missed half the wedding running her to and fro. Only this week has our much-postponed holiday been saved through the good fortune of a family member being able to take our dog. Even then we've had to change the departure airport, incur a 4.5 hour journey each way with the dog and lose 3 days of our holiday. We also lost one of our weekends completely because we couldn't find another boarder at such short notice. After the cancellation we explained our difficulties to the business owner but she wasn't interested. With the recent explosion of people getting a dog in lockdown, it seems that dog boarders are like gold dust. The business owner knew this when she cancelled our bookings and would have known that we'd be unable to find an alternative. This is not the way to run a business and it is not the way to 'look after' your boarders.
You want to leave your dog knowing that it's in the safest of hands, will love the environment and be looked after so that it doesn't want to leave when you pick it up... that's how me and my dog feel with Rachael & Christian. I leave my dog knowing he will spend the day playing, learning and socialising he loves going to Doggie Day Care and even more so Doggie Boarding when he gets to do sleepovers with his "friends". Rachael is also on hand for advice, training and any kind of doggie issues. Both Rachael and Christian are amazing with the dogs... I wouldn't let my dog go anywhere else.
Rachael runs first class boarding and day care services. She has a wealth of knowledge and understanding about dogs which is both reassuring and admirable. I would highly recommend her services.

I was so worried about leaving my african grey, especially as I have never left him longer than a couple of days before. They are such sensitive birds. I was put completely at ease from the beginning, I had daily updates which was so nice as I missed him so much and it was so nice to know he had settled okay. He also had another african grey there to chatter away with. I wouldn't think of taking him anywhere else from now on. Thank you so much ❤️

Maxine is amazing and I know when my pugs stay with Maxine and her husband Charles, my dogs are welcomed with open arms and treated as part of their family. Maxine looked after our FIV+ cat with visits twice a day. The process was incredibly clear from start to end and she was very professional and helpful in reassuring us. Our cat took an immediate liking to her. We got a daily updates with highly entertaining pictures and she was willing to water our plants and put the bins out. If you want a very responsible catsitter to make your holiday as worry free as possible, we would highly recommend her.
Maxine is amazing with house visits and hone boarding. My dogs go to her house and love their time there. They sulk when they come home. Maxine visits my house and looks after my other pets while I’m away. It’s complete peace of mind. Ten out of ten! Book early as Maxine books up very quickly
