Lovely old terraced house in a fabulous part of Hastings between the old and new towns, and easily walk-able to the beach. The weather was cold, wet and/or windy most of the time we were there, and thankfully the house was always warm. The nearby park has spectacular views out over the sea so we would start most walks with an amazing view which we never tired of. Olenka and Jamie's two dogs were absolute rock-stars and a treat to look after. Milo and Bowie are well behaved, fun, loving, and no problems at all. Both walk well on the lead and would happily go for miles every day. We would definitely return for another house-sit if invited.
We had a fantastic time taking care of this lovely home and adorable dog! From our first interaction, Chris was very welcoming and helpful. She kept in touch along the way, sending updated and needed information. We felt fully equipped for this stay. The house was so welcoming and comfortable and there aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe how adorable and precious sweet Monty is! We just fell in love with him. We highly recommend this wonderful owner and perfect little Monty!
My stay at Kevin and Mary’s was the most magical time. The animals really only REQUIRE care in the morning and before dark, but I loved them so much that a big chunk of time I just wanted to hang out with them and run around out back. Kevin was super communicative over text when I had a question, the home was clean and beautiful, and I would stay again anytime
We had such a lovely time at Gerri’s! Lucy is an absolute sweetheart and so easy to take care of. We so enjoyed spending the week with her, taking her on morning walks and snuggling in the evenings. She is so well behaved, an easy walker, super friendly and low maintenance and just loves to be snuggled up next to you. The house is in a nice friendly neighborhood right on a nature trail and within 20 minutes of downtown Austin. Everyone stopped to say hi to Lucy on our walks along the trail, and Gerri’s neighbor Susan invited us to stop by her backyard anytime with Lucy to play with her own pup, Zara. We had such a nice, peaceful week and would definitely recommend this sit!
Jacqueline has a lovely home in Vista and left clear instructions. It was an easy sit. Alex and Mandy are shy cats, but I did get to touch Mandy a little bit. Perhaps for a longer sit I would get to know them a little better. I would definitely sit for her in Vista again.
Or’s place has everything you need—a desk, a washer, coffee machine, high speed internet, the works! It’s in a prime but laid-back zone of Athens with plenty of cafes and shops, a terrace overlooking the action, plus it’s bang next to a metro stop and a few blocks from a massive park where all the dogs of the area go every day—ideal for Katanchik! K Boy does need a bit of handling as he is aggressive with unneutered male dogs (and cats…and plastic bags 😅) but otherwise he is a total party boy and a natural guard dog who is thrilled to sit in the park and “protect” you for half an hour while you drink your coffee. He needs a bit of an alpha personality to lead him and give him the plan. A few times I did let him lead on our park walks and he took me on the most winding adventures! The park has so many secret nooks and crannies, it’s just lovely there. He does well with co-jogging, also, and is very obedient and smart, I feel I taught him 4-5 new English commands and I swear I almost taught him how to start singing? He’s just too fun and such a cuddler. My relationship with Katanchik has just begun and I hope to be around him much more, I really bonded with him and feel like he’s my nephew now!
