Housesitting for Sara was a great pleasure. The house is compact, but perfect for a single traveller and has lovely and sunny outside spaces full of plants. The area is secluded, quiet and yet close to the sights in the area. Her two cats are very amicable, they love hanging around you and come and get some attention a few times a day. Though they are more active at night when it´s cooler and they go on to the street. Their routine is very easy and leaves enough time to go out and do some daytrips in the area. Due to a change in UK covid rules the day before I was due to arrive, Sara ended up not travelling a planned. However she was so kind to let me stay and housesit anyway, whilst she stayed at her boyfriends place and travelled for a weekend inside France. She is a lovely host and took me to get to know town and eat at her favourite restaurant. Super recommend housesitting for Sara!
We have just returned from our house sit in New Milton in the South of England. Caring for Tracey and Jim’s delightful house and their two adorable related kitties. Well where do we start…. Their stunning house is the perfect place to create the perfect Zen feeling. It is modern, spotlessly clean and a complete pleasure to stay in. The decor and colour scheme gives it a bright and airy feel. It is well stock with everything you will need for a comfortable and memorable stay. The classy easy to maintain garden is a dream to spend time in complete with a hot tub and Cosy garden room. Ziggy and Zaza the brother and sister cats are easy to care for and fun to be around. A little nervous at the start but within a day or so they settled down to us and gave us lots of interaction and affection.. it was a real pleasure to be around them. Both are very loveable characters. 😻😻They also have the easy access of a cat flat and are happily independent. New Milton is a vibrate place to experience it is situated on the outskirts of the New Forest which of course is a must to visit, also there are convenient shops a short drive away. There are great bars which are quaint and modern which match the ambience of the whole area. There’s plenty of chances for outdoor activity from walking, cycling, paddle boarding etc not far from their home which we made the most of as much as possible. If all this wasn’t fabulous enough there is a beach hut with easy access for a swim which is available to sitters and is a mere walk away from the house… the views over to the Isle of Wight and sky scrapes are not to be missed.!!! Tracey and Jim are the most lovely, warm and hospitable couple. We found them to be open and friendly from the word go. The communication was always available and happily we now regard them as friends. Finally if you ever get the chance to do this house sit we highly recommend you do so but you’ll have to be quick to beat us to it!!!!! Rodney was an absolute gem to look after! He does really well on walks, and is happy snuggling up on the couch during the day. Kathryn was super friendly and welcomed us into her home, a spacious apartment that had everything we needed! The location was great, only a short walk into the city. We had a wonderful week in Contovello, a quiet and charming village with lots of walking opportunities right on the doorstep. Jacqueline welcomed us warmly and communication with her was great before and during the sit. We had a fun time with Bluebell and Sol, who are easygoing and always happy to go on little adventures. The cats come and go as they please, enjoy cuddles and are very sweet. The turtles seem to enjoy some attention and are otherwise easy to take care of. The garden is beautiful with wonderful views over the sea, making this a lovely sit.
The home is nicely remodeled and in a good location, though the area is just okay. The pets were wonderful: Romeo is very chill, and Tt loves to play and cuddle. However, the host's constant unplanned visits were disruptive. She came back three times with her sister (who was not on the profile), each time asking to stay overnight with minimal notice. Despite offering to make other arrangements, it created stress and awkwardness, especially since the house is quite small. I ended up staying elsewhere each time. I wouldn't recommend sitting for this host unless you're prepared for last-minute changes and unplanned visits.
Serena was an incredible host, and her sweet trio were a joy to watch. The gang loves hanging on the patio, snuggling, and loads of treats. The beautiful home was easy to access, clean, and Serena was always available throughout the sit. I’m looking forward to watching the gang in the future and would highly recommend the sit!
