I do appreciate feed back from Maria, very encouraging. María is a very capable young lady, she overcame all her travel difficulties and arrived on time as promised. She did all that was expected and more. As I recover from my travels I notice my home is spotless…!! thank you Maria ?. Maria cared for Tiger very well and I have no difficulty recommending her to anyone looking for a responsible & reliable house sitter. W
I enjoyed this sit. A lot of green land with dogs. How the house is decorated is very pretty and interesting. Elizabeth was very kind and easy going making the sit smooth.
We had a delightful time looking after Archie and Bertie in beautiful Perthshire. Archie has a much slower pace of life and loves to be stroked and petted. Bertie is full of the joys of life and is always raring to go though he, too, loves to be cuddled. Unfortunately, he developed a sore hip during our stay so a visit to the vet was required. Communication with Caroline and Iain was very easy and the local vets dealt with the situation quickly. Their lovely home and garden is situated in a peaceful area within easy distance of the local shops and there are many scenic walks and areas of historical interest nearby. Caroline and Iain are lovely, generous hosts who did everything possible to make our stay easy and comfortable. If you are offered a chance to sit for Archie and Bertie, jump at the chance. You will have a wonderful time!
This was a short local sit for me, a chance to have a little break from parenting while taking care of two sweet kitties. Finan was full of affection and wanting to be close while Sulu kept his distance except when food and treats were offered. Jonathan and Isabella provided me with a thorough guide to their house and pets, and were readily available via text when there was a home-related issue I needed to notify them about. Their house is lovely and very comfortable. However, it is on a hill, so there’s a large set of steps without a handrail that was a bit of a challenge for me with my bad knees. Thanks for entrusting me to care for your babies!
I enjoyed housesitting on a farm for the first time with Mollie. Mollie was a puppy at time of sit. She however is a large heavy dog, who has great strength. She was full of energy, does jump on people when standing or sitting. She pulls on the leash, and depending on your weight/strength, it was challenging at times to lead Mollie on a walk. It was more Mollie walking me. However, she was friendly and excited to see other people and my dog, who I brought on my sit. It was definitely a handful at first with my dog and Molly together. Mollie was a sweet dog overall, and easy to care for. She was good off leash, watched her the whole time, and came back with calling her name and inside with a treat. Their home was nice, and clean. They left room in fridge for us which was nice. And they made 3 bedroom’s available for use which was nice for my family who came and visited. The chickens were easy to care for. It was easy to get chicken back in if they got out of house. Only had issue with the watering system stopped working during the sit. But could add it manually. Towards the middle/end of trip I did have issues with my medium sized dog playing with Mollie. She did begin playing more aggressively, biting on her neck in more than just playful manner, pinning her down, and non stop chasing/wrestling her. It was also challenging to pull mollie off of her/get her to stop at times. Mollie seems to do best in environment with no other dogs around. I think she became overstimulated with my family being there and my dog being there. We did end up leaving a day early when Hannah offered due to issues with my dog and Mollie. I did appreciate this offer as I was worried about havdling the two of them on my own.
Absolutely loved staying in Sharon's home, immaculately clean when we arrived and beyond cozy, we felt immediately at home. Sharon was extremely inviting upon our arrival and Bree was such a sweetheart, I will sit for her again anytime!
Yoda was an absolute angel! She is such a loving pup and we miss her dearly. Laura clearly communicated the responsibilities of the sit and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable in her home. I can't recommend this sit enough!
