Melitta and her family made us feel like home at their beautiful house. It has a fantastic view the only thing is you pay with leg muscles, during walking up and down all the time, for the view. Isla is very patient, loves to play and all in all easy going and pretty friendly dog. Melitta gave us a car seat and a bag back to carry her during our adventures. She showed us everything during the first evening we spend together, over the time she was always available on WhatsApp. We had so much fun with Isla and would definitely recommend the stay
Katy and Peter were so lovely and accommodating. The area is great, Katy helped us to find work and we found a good CrossFit gym close by. Becky and Jack are lovely dogs, we will miss them very much! Would love to house sit again if we were ever in the area😊
Majik is a wonderful, affectionate and laid back girl and I totally enjoyed my long country walks with her and her lovely company during the housesit. Majik is wonderfully well behaved both on and off the lead, enjoys playing with her toy fox and having a snooze. The village is wonderful with lots of friendly people who are happy to strike up a conversation especially when walking Majik. Andrew's home is very well situated, close to country walks, local shop and local pub. Andrew is very welcoming and communication was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the picturesque surrounding villages such as Burford, Stow on the Wold and Chipping Norton. I definitely want to visit again.
This was a lovely sit. Gorgeous home makes you feel like your on vacation. Mary and James were amazing. They were so sweet and considerate. They answered all questions we had. Sofi is the cutest pup. She is just so sweet and full of energy. We enjoyed everything and highly recommend this sit.
Taking care of Mila and Moana, in beautiful Amsterdam was a dream. They are such beauties with amazing personalities: I loved cuddling and playing with them. They will make you laugh and you will be in awe of just how goreous they are! I worked from home for the majority of my month there- Mila would be very persistent to help out on my teaching calls, but after a while, she would take a snooze with her sister. They were both ready for playtime and pets soon as I finished working. Though they did nap during most of the work day, they loved being around me and interacting every chance they could get! So this is perfect for a person who truly loves spending time with kitties (as opposed to just making sure they have food, water and a clean litter box). They love human companionship (in my opinion). They are very considerate though and will let you sleep and won't disturb you at night. Due to them being Birmans, it will require some time dedicated to daily brushing and vacuuming because they are just such furry cats! They adore being brushed and it's a very special bonding time for both (its just so cute). During my month there, they did seem to vomit/have furballs more than I was used to with other kitties (and Margaret shared it was out of the ordinary) and they also did pee behind the litter box a few times (which Margaret had shared they had done before!) They seemed to have bonded with me and felt extremely comfortable with me, but maybe the transition was still hard and they missed their mama for the month. The house is very comfortable with gorgeous windows overlooking the street. The plant store downstairs has a bubble maker and it was just a magical experience/location. Very easy to get around and I always felt safe in the neighborhood. If you're applying for the amsterdam location, I do want to stress the importance of being physically able to climb some steep stairs (while holding groceries, baggage, or taking out the weekly litter bag). I know Margaret may be moving in the future- so if not in Amsterdam, ignore this. Margaret was so kind, generous, and a great host! I appreciate her letting me come a day earlier to meet and show me around. She was always available to help me out and very understanding and supportive when things went awry! She was very down to earth with a lassiez faire approach to just about everything in the house and for the cats! I felt very comfortable and am so thankful to have had this beautiful experience. Moana and Mila have definitely left an imprint on my heart! Thank you!
We did not meet our hosts Janna and Tim but we felt so welcome. They left not only clear instructions with photos but also tourist information and a bottle of prosecco. The cats indie and Alfie were welcoming, affectionate and easy to care for. We had a great time. Thanks to all four occupants of the house.
