Adam took good care of our dogs and cat. I think there might have been some confusion as to feeding the chickens but they seemed fine. I do leave very detailed instructions but you can't think of every little thing and I hope sitters will never hesitate to contact me for questions. House could have been left cleaner and we did discuss that, he was very apologetic. Generally sitters leave the house cleaner than we do! We would welcome him back.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Victoria's home. It is a gorgeous house - think Boho chic meets Bridgerton vibes! And Spot! Spot is a sweetheart who I loved looking after. He is a very easygoing cat who loves snuggling up next to you and will let you know if he is hungry. Victoria explained his feeding schedule & it was easy to follow. He is partial to Dreamies (as a treat) and this served me well the one time he was fast asleep & I was worried he might still be out of the window (he likes to sunbathe on the flat bit of the roof). He came running when he heard the Dreamies box shake. 😂 Victoria stayed in contact with me throughout the sit and was kind enough to give me a tour of Portobello when I arrived. She is an excellent communicator and very kind. Portobello as a location was delightful as I got to experience Edinburgh at peak season without the crowds. I would definitely recommend this sit to anyone considering it!
Pam is a lovely lady and I thoroughly enjoyed looking after her 4 cats and staying in her cute beach cottage for 5 nights. All 4 cats have different personalities, and whilst 2 (Shmoke and Mojo) are definitely quite timid and skittish at first, they are lovely and affectionate once they get to know you. Grooming definitely pays off in terms of building relationships with the kitties but also helps reduce the chances of sick (furballs) as 3 of the cats have thick fluffy coats. I hope to be able to come and look after these 4 loveable moggies again at some stage, as well as enjoy the cliff top walks and pretty Kai Iwi beach! Thanks for having me Pam!
Andy was a true gentleman and excellent host. Very accommodating and welcoming and taking care of his apartment and affectionate cat was a pure joy over the holidays. The apartment is large and comfortable. Convenient access to Brooklyn and Manhattan and loved every minute of the stay. Andy is an awesome person and I had a wonderful experience.
My sit for Huck was fantastic. Piggy and Bill are such characters and great fun too! Bill loves people and becomes your little shadow around the house, he is so sweet. Piggy is a great little guy too and doesn't let his lack of vision stop him. The eye drops for him are really easy to administer too. Huck is great, really kind, generous and accommodating. Communication before and during my stay was easy as well. We met beforehand for a handover which was very useful. You don't feel alone in the city as Huck has many friends on stand-by if anything is needed. I went for a dog walk and coffee every morning with one of Huck's friends, which was just a lovely! The house is so cool and in an excellent location too. The West End is a wonderful part of town and there's lots of nice shops, cafes etc nearby. Super close to a subway station and multiple parks too! 10/10 would recommend! Thanks Huck!
If you like cute and affectionate cats, this is the sit for you :) Rue and Ozzy are very sweet and warmed up quickly. Laura is friendly, responsive, and provided some helpful tips for my stay. The home has everything you might need for a comfortable stay. It's a short walk through a nice park to the c-train, groceries, restaurants and shops in Kensington. The neighbourhood has lots to check out and is close to the river for a nice walk. Downtown, Prince's Island, Beltline, Mission, etc are also easily accessible.
Karina and Eduardo are two of the best people you ever hope to find on TrustedHouseSitters. They were so incredibly kind and conscientious throughout the whole sit, and made me feel welcome, trusted and always at ease. Their condo is situated in a beautiful part of Lagoa with incredible views of the lagoon and a short walking distance from an eclectic variety of grocery stores, eateries and coffee shops. Kika, Luna, Pituco and Tonin are four beautiful, baby birds each with unique and differing little personalities. They are very affectionate and wildly communicative little birds who will leave an indelible place in any sitter’s heart. I had an exceptional stay here, and would jump at the opportunity to come back. Thank you so much Karina and Eduardo for everything, you two are amazing!
