I had a wonderful time hanging out with Ayla for 12 days. She is a very chill girl and after the first few days her playful nature appeared. The apartment was lovely and perfect for me as I was working remotely the entire time. It's in a great location and downtown is an easy walk. Rob was very organized and communicative. 10/10 house/pet sit!
Had a lovely time looking after Archie and Angus. They are the sweetest dogs, and such characters!Paul was kind enough to let me use their vehicle so I could get the dogs to the best walking spots, and both him and Jo were happy to run me to and from the train station. Would happily housesit for these guys again!
Rob and Gretchen were so welcoming and communicative, and we totally fell in love with Effie! She was definitely nervous at first, but she warmed up within a few hours of treats, cuddles, and hanging out around the house. She is very polite to walk and we had fun playing ball with her in the backyard looking at the mountains. The house was clean; the bed was big with (I think?) a firm memory foam-style topper; and we enjoyed using the modern kitchen. Rob and Gretchen left all the info we needed clearly written down, and were super accessible by text. It was lovely to meet them!
Reggie and Bonnie are very friendly, affectionate dogs and very quiet. They are quite energetic and love to play and chase sticks outside. They go to bed very easily on command and know their routines well. Brian and Candice have a lovely home, it is very quiet and great for a secluded rural escape. We enjoyed exploring along The Thames and Kennet River, as well as indulging in cute cafes and pubs a short drive away. You do need a car to enjoy this area. We also enjoyed staying indoors to play the piano, cook nice meals in the well equipped kitchen and relax by the log fire (a big hit with the dogs who are very happy to sit quietly in the warm and stare at the flames). The TV room was also great with good speakers and various streaming services. The dogs love to snuggle with you when watching TV.
Absolutely loved Pontyberem so much I purchased a property! We loved this sit. Steve & Sue were incredibly friendly & welcoming and provided some delicious homecooked food on arrival. Sherlock is really easy company, but great company and Simba kept us entertained. Nala just loves a fuss - super affectionate - especially if Simba isn't around. After the first week we did finally suss out the turkey and her crew. The 3 ducks were also great fun to be around - especially after it had rained! A sit with great personality! We thoroughly recommend it.
Charlie and I had the most lovely weekend looking after two delightful dogs in a beautiful family home. Ruby and Maple were such good, well behaved, affectionate dogs. The field opposite the house was ideal for them to have a run a few times a day. They also liked a swim in the pond at the bottom of the field. These dogs are no problem at all off lead. They liked nothing more than snuggling up next to us or lying in front of and soaking up the heat from the log burner! There is a lovely enclosed garden too which the dogs can run around in. They have a simple bed time routine and settle well until morning. We took provisions with us as we were only there for the weekend but Kinross is only a few miles down the road if you need shopping. We would without hesitation return here and recommend this sit to anyone lucky enough to be free on requested dates. Thank you to Ava and your family for inviting us. Gill and Charlie 🐾🐾
