Sharona was clear in her instructions, the house is lovely, the neighborhood is great and I really appreciated that she let me spend an extra night at her place to catch an early morning meeting I had scheduled in town. Bodhi is a delight. She is a very calm and loving pup in the house and transforms in a fun bounding around (but responsive) dog on the trail.
We enjoyed our house-sit experience so much at Ali & Fergus beautiful home in Castle Cary. Everything was just how they described it and Arky (& the chickens) were the perfect pets. Thank you for having us. It was a great experience.
I have given this sit four stars because of an incident between our dogs, there was nothing else wrong with the sit. Afterwards, Jeanette and I agreed that it would not be appropriate for other dogs to attend future sits with their owners. Chad is a sweet and obedient dog however he does unfortunately have an unpredictable side (which can sometimes happen with rescues with an unknown past). There were two incidents where Chad, out of the blue, went for my dog. It could have resulted in injury to either of them as my dog fought back, or in injury to us while separating them. Both incidents thankfully were over as quickly as they began, but we had to then keep the dogs separated for the rest of the sit. Jeanette and Alan live very near to Cannock and there’s some good shopping to be had there if that’s your thing! They have a lovely home on a country road with fields opposite. There are beautiful walks nearby in Cannock Chase and Chad was well-behaved off the lead; we were confident of him coming back to us (which he always did) and he was sociable with other dogs, having a friendly sniff and moving on! He does however pull quite a lot and being a large dog he’s very strong; my husband had to take his lead whenever we went out. He did pull a lot less after having had a walk! Jeanette and Alan’s home is very comfortable, and they were generous in leaving a welcome/thank you gift. Chad is a lovely boy, and if you enjoy long walks in the woods/countryside, being around open fields with horses and cows, and staying in a comfortable and homely environment then you will love this sit.
Heidi and David are very kind and generous. They gave excellent instructions for the house and pets. The house is beautiful and in a peaceful location. Zelda is the sweetest little girl. She is well-behaved, funny and affectionate. Puffins is a gorgeous ragdoll with lovely bright blue eyes. She gradually came out of her shell to be petted and even showed me her cat tower. I am really going to miss them!
